Dark Eldar are fun to paint and assemble, but rather difficult to play due to their glass cannon nature. If you are just interested in models go with what you find the coolest but for learning the game I recommend the chaos marines as they are more straight forward.

Dark Eldar are cool, but I've never been able to picture them as an actual army faction. Why would they ever engage in a massive pitched battle with, say, Space Marines? Or more ridiculously, Tyranids or something. The only way that'd ever happen is if they were ambushed, and they'd certainly try to flee rather than fight. They are slavers collecting booty, not trying to conquer planets by force.
I get that 40k proper is supposed to be smaller scale (it isn't anymore with shit like Scout Titans), but I only play 6mm.

Kroot are mercenaries everywhere, individuals go all around the galaxy looking for rare genes to add to their collective racial pool. When a lot of them are traveling together they do so in style in their warspheres which will facefuck an Imperial battleship. They are *generally* benevolent when they aren't being paid by someone to kill you and most planets recognize that fucking with them is more trouble than it's worth. Except for the part where they have to eat other sentients to not devolve into animals.

They travel the galaxy taking limited contracts from both major and minor intelligent starfaring species and are regularly employed by the T'au.
While the contract with the T'au is supposed to be an exclusive one, the Kroot regularly send out their warspheres to continue their mercenary trade amongst the wider cosmos.

The Ogryn is pretending to be dumbed than he really is. The Bone'ead process went 'wrong' and increased his intelligence far beyond any normal Ogryn, to the point he realized that if he acted on it he'd likely be executed
The Biologis and Catachan know about the Ogryn. The Biologis wants to pick apart his brain to see how he was enhanced so much, the Catachan wants to protect him due to a sense of Imperial Guard loyalty.

Act IV is one fight in Footfall and then Quetza Temer which is ~1.5 times the size of one of the Act II planets with both the jungle and the lab. Everything else in just dependent on companion missions
Act V is even shorter with 4 or 5 fights and boss with the possible addition quests of two companion missions (one of which is for the least acquired companion in the game)

She serves the mc planning a betrayal, and contacts some other raiders for an ambush.
But, seeing the other eldar companion at ease, teaching her to medidate, and seeing how for the first time she is in an environment where not everyone is a complete deranged psycho, she starts to ponder what it is to be able to share the feelings everyone in commoragh is forced to hide to survive
That's when she starts developing stockholm syndrome and spilling her spaghetti in front of the mc, something that ashames her greatly.
To make matters worse, the mc, at first stern and enraged, starts becoming more understanding towards her, seeing her vulnerability, making her even more confused
But there is an issue, she already contacted a group of wyches and set them against the mc, she is now forced to find a way to stop them without the mc even realizing
How will our tsundere dorky wych manage to stop disaster? Will she swallow her pride and ask help from the other companions, learning how to show vulnerability? Or will she go alone, and possibly get killed?

It turns out that if you play a Voidborn Crime Lord and shoot an overcharged killing plan plasma shot at something it counts not exploding in your face as a failure so rerolls those and the killing plan damage gets expended on you for an instasuicide instead of on the enemy which really sucks when you are doing a Grim Darkness run and find this out against Aurora.

The average inquisitor spends 70% of his time dealing with rival inquisitors and ideological/faction conflicts, 20% of his time pissing off/terrifying whatever local planetary government he's bulldozing through in the name of his personal agenda, and like 10% of his time actually working to investigate and right bad shit
As an institution you could easily argue the inquisition is a net negative for the Imperium, since the benefits of legally unaccountable stasi with the authority to glass planets and run around with daemonhosts do not outweigh the problems caused by said megalomaniacal retards, and you've already got organizations like the adeptus arbites and Assassinorum serving similar roles with actual oversight and less fucking daemons

I understand your point, but I'd like you to consider how much more cohesive with the universe's aesthetics all of these are compared to the new crew. The Catchan and Medicae look so out of place next to the well executed 40k archtypes that the rest of them represent, with the medicae already being discussed above but the Catchan doesn't look nearly roid monster enough, especially when contrasted against the Ogyrn in the background. The only thing that even comes close to looking out of place in the RT art is Argentia wearing more like she's wearing leather armor instead of SoB power armor, but that's a common mottif they have and it's still clear at a glance exactly what she is and what she's doing there.
