PC players with 50 fingers on each hand
it's terrible for fighting games though
fighting games
asymmetrical: thumbs in natural resting place when using most common controls
symmetrical: thumbs stretched in unnatural position for most common controls
The switch controller design mogs both of these though. Don't even have to keep your hands together and can use all controls without stretching in an unnatural position.
Asymmetrical has each thumb on the most important parts or the controller. Left on movement, right on buttons. The d-pad and right stick are less important, so they're below. The only disadvantage is playing 2D games with a lower d-pad.
it’s the le natural resting position!!!
God stop with this bullshit. No one’s thumb naturally rests like that.
thumbs stretched in unnatural position
imagine having such weak and frail hands that you actually believe this
The fact you can’t claw grip is a deal breaker
looking at your controls
Show me your thumb without contracting any muscles.
Your thumb will always be faster and have more precision when it is closer to its resting state, regardless of how strong it is.
so your hands are asymmetrical?
Playstation controllers are made for children, women and midgets and feel like cheap toys
Xbox controllers are made for the hands of grown men and can be used as blunt weapon
Your thumbs will be symmetrical in the asymmetrical controller.
You're delusional
In the market for a new gamepad, any recommendations? I used a 360 gamepad for a while and it's been working mostly fine, but it's starting to show it's age.
Someone said I should take a look at 8BitDo's stuff, they any good?
You got it the wrong way around.
Your thumbs will be symmetrical in the asymmetrical controller.
thumbs on movement and buttons
In the asymmetrical design, those locations will just be your thumbs' resting positions.
HUNTER EYES.....
wtf is the 4th image?
It's a PS5 controller. Known for its shit design.
Only in FPS games would your fingers be on both analog sticks like that. You wouldn't be a faggot playing an FPS with a controller, would you?
The ultimate feels shittier than an Xbox controller, but it has been much more hardy. My last several xbone controllers have been garbage, so it's worth it for a slightly less than ideal form factor.
By buddy got one of those 140 dollar xbox controllers and it feels real fucking nice, but I'm too wary to get it myself.
Eh I can adjust to feels, so unless it's physically painful to handle I'm not especially concerned there.
And in the case of a PS5 controller, you would be stretching both thumbs instead of just one. Literally the worst controller design possible. Just worse in every way compared to the others.
who the fuck rests their right hand on the right analog? face buttons exist for a reason and why games use them, only fps use the right analog all the time
Imagine having such small bitch hands you have to stretch them to reach the analogs LMAO
ooo my wittle thumbs cant stwetch that fahhh
fucking weak little jew boy
I have big hands so I don't like symmetrical sticks because my thumbs bump into each other.
being proud of using a worse designed controller
thinking preferring a worse designed controller makes you strong
Are you retarded or just autistic?
The stretch is identical regardless of hand size. It's rotating the thumbs.
reddit quoting
Its strictly a personal preference. I use both symmetrical and asymmetrical controllers. Your fake anatomy justifications are retarded, and make you sound like a little bitch.
It is literally a worse design, and using a device with worse ergonomics does not make you powerful. It makes you a faggot for being proud of it for some reason. It's like bragging about using claw grip on 3ds monster hunter and not using a CPP. Kill yourself.
No, you're wrong. You have a preference that you want to believe is superior, so you make up pseudo science bullshit to make yourself feel good. Every time there is a thread about it you show up to regurgitate the same points. Only you don't post your fat sausage fingers with lines image anymore. I can't imagine being so autistic and fat that I would care that much about controller preference.
I'm autistic so everyone who doesn't agree with me is the same person
At least you answered the question I asked earlier.
playstation controllers (i havent used the ps5), all felt like cheap plastic and were always less ergonomic than even the shitty joycon, wiiu, and 3ds. let alone a fucking real controller like an xbox remote
They're sonyfags, they would suck the shit out of their ass if they could
So what you're telling me is that snoys never use the buttons because they watch movies instead of playing games?
Snoys are desperate today, did Nintendo just announce something cool?
moves goalpost
Yea u were wrong
It's not like it's painful, but just smaller than the xbox ones, so it's not nearly as comfortable. Also I prefer the xbox triggers to the ps3-type triggers.
Again, it's really good. and comfort is the only thing I'm whining about. If that's not a deal-breaker (or if you have smaller hands than I) it should be fine. Connects super easy, can used with an actual nintendo switch, battery lasts for an eternity and comes with a dock for charging. There might be better controllers out there, but it definitely not a bad choice.
pseudo science
Hold on, how is relaxed muscles having a default state pseudo science?
Do you have any idea how retarded you sound?
Every time there is a thread about it you show up to regurgitate the same points
It's almost like it's a fucking fact. Christ anon, you have some flat earthers tier delusions
Well it's not too expensive, so I'll probably give it a shot and if it doesn't work out, no big loss, I've paid more for worse shit.
As for hand size, I can comfortably hold a Switch pro Controller without having any issues so I can't imagine it's too much smaller than that.
Not if you're a Chad who plays them with the analog stick
Also do any of the 8BitDo ultimate ones connect to the switch or is there a specific type I need to get? I was looking at the 2c Ultimates since they're only about $30 but those are just listed as Windows/Android, so just checking they'll still connect to a Switch if needed.
Remember when Sonypals said the PS4 controller had the perfect shape until they copied Xbox and suddenly PS5 has the best controller ever?
I don't actually know. I went with the ultimate and that just works. Looking at the store page for the ultimate 2c, and it doesn't look like it would connect to a switch. They'd probably advertise it as such if it could.
That's fair. Well my pro controller works fine so it's actually not a dealbreaker, would have mostly been an extra bonus, so not really a dealbreaker.
Yeah, I only connected to my switch once just to see if it worked, which it did. However; my switch is just gathering dust now, so while this feature is cool, it is meaningless to me as well.
