This was fun. It made me want to get Type of House of the Dead.

As a zoomer I would rather play the original doom over quake anyday. The multi-player is fun in Quake but the single player campaign just ain't that fun, other than the NIN soundtrack. Also you say this but they did make a new quake and nobody played it lol.

It didn't. The Dark Ages is the best of the nu-Doom games and Bolt Gun was bullet sponge garbage.

The biggest flaw of Prodeus is its respawn system. It's the absolute worst idea ever and the game would have been infinitely more attractive without it.

Boltgun plays much more like nu Dooms than actual boomer shooters, it's only qualified as one due to pixelated graphics same as Mullet Madjack being absolutely nothing like oldschool FPS being tagged as one (it's a great game though)

Bolt Gun was only okay and carried largely by the brand. They'll have to really impress me if they want me to get 2.

It's definitely one of the better shooters released in the recent years, along with Dusk and if the respawn system didn't bother you no reason why you can't have fun with it. Since I'm a huge fucking autist, I just beat it by reloading a level whenever I died.

This. Bolt Gun's gunplay is bad. Fucking hate bullet sponge health bar shit in my shooters, and this is one of the worst for it. The level design was also rather poor and the boss fights also suck. Mostly hated this game while wanting to love it for being 40k.

Quake 2 is the best. Best singleplayer, best multiplayer. Played in most school's computer labs. The mods were glorious. You had giant condoms and Mister Burn.

singleplayer Quake is phenomenal, it has very 3 dimensional puzzles, and the projectiles in 3D space too, and to top it off the multiplayer is triumphant over Doom.

nah, don't be that way. Doom has always been very basic, and Quake had always been interesting from the jump. Quake's 3D technology was a massive jump in gameplay and graphics, and the interactivity it sported from puzzles, and choosing a difficulty being a hidden in the environment thing you can only discover from understanding how the game hides secrets, very fucking innovative.

The fact they went with Doom is just dangling member berries in front of boomer faces.
