the further down you go the better the loot from boss nodes gets, like dropping legendary quality tools and whatnot

Unlocking hairstyles is cool and makes sense but having eyes locked behind unlocks is annoying. If one of those is the one you want then you have to play a ton of the game using different eyes before you can switch to your intended ones, which will now look weird because you're not used to your character having them. Sure the same applies to hair but it's much easier for your brain to accept a hair change than an eye change.

The pacing in this game could use a little more direction. I mean, I get it the game wants you to grind and explore Ginormosia along the main story.
