I don't like Marvel Slop. I haven't even watched a capeshit movie in at least 15 years. In my OP, I said that I even liked E33, I've just never seen such a blatant shill campaign before. How the fuck is there nearly twenty (20!!!!) different E33 threads?

And why don't the mods step in? The mods are known to delete video game threads simply because they don't like them. They are known to delete video game "generals" beginning 1 month after the game released... so why are there fucking TWENTY threads for E33 on the catalogue still? Delete them all except 2. A game discussion thread (i.e. a "general") and a sales thread, since they just reached that milestone.

I guess the shills did their job, because I ended up playing it. Turns out the game is just good. Not great. Not amazing. Not goty. Just good. Aren't people getting tired of this shit? Every single year now we have a new game that's overhyped as something far better than it is. Last year it was metaphor. The year before that it was baldur's gate 3. I think the parry mechanic was poorly thought out and implemented, I don't really want to play a game with half-baked turn-based gameplay just because it's pretty when I just play a game for half the price with better gameplay.

The parry mechanic is the worst part of the game. All the enemies have extreme poor telegraphing of their attacks, so all new enemies you have to let them damage you until you've memorized them. It's just poorly thought out and retarded.

Any game with strong marketing behind it that doesn’t launch in a completely broken state or try to instigate political outrage is practically guaranteed to succeed.

The story completely falls apart in act 3, which is sad, because it was unironically great all the way through act 1.

I'm OP. Act I was good. Act II was still good, but not as good as Act I.
Act III is just facepalm city that the shills try to pawn off as being deep when it isn't, and it's already been done before.
