Is this worth playing?
Is this worth playing?
No. It baby's first RPG
Only if you're a heckin hardcore slowplay type gamer who enjoys a girthy youtube essay over a class of fine Californian sirrah, like myself.
yes, but wait for them to complete Skywind
if only you can handle the jank and dogshit dice roll combat
also do yourself a favor and have 150 walk speed
2035
by the time we'll get official remaster
it's not a good game, but it's a good setting/universe to explore
mechanics: bad
storyline: meh
environment and immersion: off the charts
This is a game you play because you want to wander around the world and learn/discover everything about it. If you already know elder scrolls lore, or you hate reading and learning and discovering things, or you're looking for some kind of amazing combat system, then you won't like this game
switching from best engine to worst engine
Interesting.
Yes
a lot of stuff is finished, im hoping itll release in 2 years time
for me, Morrowind is about immersion, and Skywind is clearly superior in that regard
Do you have a soul? Yes. Do you not like most of the guys above? No.
Morrowind has more kinds of numbers so it's more immersive.
not really. one of the progenitors of the open world action games for consolefags that ruined CRPGs
i respect your personal preference
Yeah, it's pretty fun as long as you don't mind doing a bit of reading on the character creation screen. Pick a type of weapon you want to use and then arrange your stats accordingly. As long as you keep this in mind, combat will not be impossible for you like it is for some n'wahs.
dogshit dice roll combat
Filtered
sure
doing same animation on static model is fun
Is any bethesda game really?
all of em
Looking at oblivion remake we got, I'd rather play it on Skyrim's engine
There are at least 6 different attacks
doing same animation on static model is fun
yes
For some people yes.
Are you trying to get to some objective truth?
Lmao thank you for that
me too brother, i am also waiting for sky-bolivia
yeah it's totally not nostalgia and playing a game to the point you love everything about it even the objectively bad ones
because it gives you this illusion of player choice during combat
Get used to it homie. I'm pretty sure the Oblivion remake is just a tech demo for Betheasda to see if Unreal is a suitable replacement for their ancient Creation Engine
Nobody actually enjoys playing Morrowind. People who claim to be fans only care about the lore and maybe exploits. Playing Morrowind the intended way is torturously boring. Just play Gothic 2 instead.
Swing sword at enemy.
dice rolls and some other factors
Either hit or miss
What more do you want from an rpg combat? If I want "git gud" combat I'd play Dark Souls
Skywind
Dialogues are completely rewritten
Terrible voice acting
‘Fixed’ quests
Fucked up scale
When your games are so good that fans are constantly remaking and modding them to be playable
But enough about minecraft.
Meanwhile in reality people are porting Oblivion and Skyrim back to Morrowind
Why give the player a crosshair and ability to aim if it doesn't matter? It feels retarded to swing at things in first person knowing that directionality is irrelevant
The crosshair is there to hitscan if your attack is aimed at the model of the enemy
TES 6 is released
It's just an Unreal wrapper with the Creation Engine underneath
You get BOTH the ancient gamebryo bugs AND Unreal engine bugs.
Only the dead know peace from this evil.
With none of the "mods will fix it"
Truly the darkest of timelines
AI-generated programming, art, music and story will fix it.
And, thanks to the AI, the cost of making games will drop by 90%, which means they'll be 90% cheaper!
which means they'll be 90% cheaper!
Yes, that would be great and totally what's going to happen
Engine has it's issues, so use either openmw or learn to save often to avoid losing progress to random crashes. There are decent mods to improve certain aspects of graphics. Combat is different from later titles, and central plot can be hit or miss (depending on how much you like geeking out to Kirkbride). World and some side quests are pretty neat, and exploration is awarded. Learn to navigate according to instructions, or just use map, since there are no quest markers. Also, there are some somewhat hidden details you can miss if you just powergame and rush shit through.Tamriel Rebuilt also adds whole loads of interesting content.
As an interactive piece of media, it's one of the coolest things ever made.
As a video game, it's total fucking garbage.
Playing it for the first time, the world and story built around it but the gameplay (not complaining about how combat works) is jank even compared to other games in that area. I don't like how leveling is bound to sleeping and certain skills get learnt in a few moments while sneaking for example takes half an eternity.
A friend of mine keeps watching me play and he tells me Skyrim will be better, is this true?
