I know i will most likely get flamed for this, but generally I have really enjoyed Dota 2 in the past. Now i don't hear about it at all. Like i know valve never advartises their awesome games, but still... Should i get back to it after years of league slop?

League kneecapped it to take the crown when assfaggots were all the rage but it still survived
Fortnite then came around and killed league(although riot keeps it on life support with their infinite china money) and dota is still around

Dota added a bunch of stupid horseshit, and the balance philosophy right now is that of "let's just rotate things around solely for the sake of change itself, not because there's any issue with it" which is supremely gay.
That said, it's still the best assfaggots by a fucking mile. It's incredible how well league of legends poisoned that well.
dota died back in 2014 when they release 6.82 and 3 that added memeback to the game unblancing the whole thing and then they double down with 6.84. What you have now is a brawlfest where there's no strategy and every game plays the same

No, and it may just be a problem with my region. I play on the Australia region, and I also play Ranked. If I queue for Southeast Asia, it's much faster. I wish ping wasn't a thing and everyone could play with each other regardless of country.

No it's not dead it still hits 600-800k peaks depending on the month and if new shit is in. Anyone saying otherwise is a troon. The game has the current best iteration of maps ever for it. The neutral item rotation is ok the innate skill system was a nice change in pace but some fags hate it because they cannot read and don't want multiple playstyles per character. All in all modern dota is good I think the game still peaked when they first added neutrals because 100 items flooding the pool made shit fun and chaotic.

Do you watch pro matches? It's actually a great way to learn, as long as you try the stuff you see. Even just knowing what items to buy is a big deal.

I'll give an example of learning from a pro match. Paravision is the best team, and Noone is playing Storm right here. You can just watch the match and see what items he buys. Make sure you look at what order he buys them in too.
