In the end, his customers got the product they wanted, and he made it, and Steam still persist today, and is generally well received. If a guy made something you want that you can choose to not pay for easily (piracy) and know the guy supports, for example, mass immigration, and you still give him said money, it enables the possibility that he will spend at least some of that money on pushing for mass immigration, which furthers the likelihood that one day you will be one of those unfortunate cases in the news where someone got randomly shanked by a jeet.
