There is no best fantasy race, it all comes down to how they're implemented. Orcs can be shit, orcs can be great. Elves can be shit, elves can be great. Same for dwarves, halflings, goblins, gnomes, whatever. Even humans.

Hell, I even made a basic constructed language with its own script just for the characters in my game to read with; the neat part is that, unlike other fake languages like "Matoran" that simply take English words and encodes them, "Zmeian" corrupts existing languages and mashes them together into something alien but roughly translatable.
Did I mention I wrote 26 pages worth of lore just for every location found? Indeed, each location and administrative region in this picture has information concerning its founding, history, important landmarks, and the industries they serve. I also began working on describing in detail each object found, including each of the 14 usable weapons, like the Xzen-Akaias and the Daimon Cannon, and weapons used by non-player characters, such as Thorn and the Gwanchi; different types of armor, such as the Basileus's Armor and Dumah Fygorunik's Bone Armor, and shields, including the Energy Buckler and the Ouroboros Buckler; and artifacts like the Crystal Golem, the Möbius Compendium, and the Necrosis Orb.

Port Wyvern is a small port town located in the north of the Deadlands. Many Frydarians consider this settlement to only exist to provide protection from any threats from the north, but few are aware of its history.

What is now known as Port Wyvern was once the town of Drilos. This town was founded by a splinter groups of Dragons, known as the Certai, who felt that the taxes imposed by the Frydarian crown, were being misallocated and lining the pockets of the Basileus and his Viceroys; in reality, the funds were being allocated for the general welfare of the Frydarian people, such as financing the construction of the air vents in the Ferrumox Hill region. To evade paying these “exorbitant” taxes, the Certai, led by Karantos Kaladas, decided to journey into the northernmost reaches of the Deadlands and founded Drilos with a group of twelve families who shared his anti-Frydarian ideology. Although facing trouble in its early history, the town of Drilos grew to become a wealthy port as its close proximity to the Northern Continent made it an easy choice for traders from the continental world to dock their ships and begin trading.

The Frydarian crown, at first believing the town of Drilos to be nothing more than a folly city, grew concerned with the swift development of this town in a seemingly inhospitable land. Seeing this rebel colony divert wealthy traders away from the capital city’s Port Ouroboros, the Frydarian crown found it wise to meet with Demarch Kaladas and discuss integrating Drilos into Frydarian society. After lengthy discussions between diplomats of both states, lasting thirty two months, the rebels amicably gave control of the town to the Frydarian crown, rechristening the town to Port Wyvern.

After a particularly insolent prank against his master, Vainvar was sentenced to death and sent to the Prison in the Heavens to await his execution. As his last day came, Vainvar, who took a liking to life, took a chance while being dragged to the gallows and escaped his captors, jumping along the heavens with the servants of Xzenos in pursuit. In the end, Vainvar was recaptured until, as a result of the Gods practicing due process before once more sentencing the jester to death, the cycle can begin anew; this never-ending cycle of capture and escape, as the Ur-Xzenesians learned, was the cause of thunderstorms, as the streaks of lightning that arced overhead in the clouds were the trails left by Vainvar as he eluded his enemies. As a result, the palace was demolished and a military base was constructed in its place to ensure security in the northernmost region of Frydar Island. The Wyvern Military Base features a field for soldiers to train on, barracks, and a small penthouse and office for the commanding officer, hand selected by the Basileus to serve as both the leader of the army in the region and as a general magistrate.
