So why didn't they fix them in this? It brings the game down and they obviously put in enough work in the game that they could have dedicated some time have a more seamless and immersive experience by axing the loading screens. It's too disruptive and they pop up way too often.

Quality of life goes way beyond graphics honestly. Like if they reworked Morrowind today and simply added a sprint button or improved the movement speed of your character the game would be ten times as good. That and adding voice acting to all the bits and you've got a masterpiece right there, the graphics be damned. They can stay the same and use the same improvements they have for the past 20 years and it would be completely fine so long as the shit above got improved, alongside some other bits and pieces that are remnants of a worse, less technical age of video games.

I tried replaying oblivion a couple years ago and holy fucking shit was it bad. A genuinely awful experience that did a total 180 on my opinion of the game. The remaster though? Shits pretty fun and honestly a big part of that is the graphics. I like looking at pretty things, simple as.

It was great back in the day because us millennial cretin faggots saw the game through an escapist lens where we wanted to be in the fantasy world and we all just devolved to archer thief. Games are so oversaturated now and we have grown up that we see games for what they are instead of being mesmerized by them. We can only see it through the lens what they are mechanically and when you encounter the leveling system in old Oblivion you realize the entire game was absolutely fucked where you needed to perfectly and autismally have to curate your skill leveling or you got fucked by the monsters who scaled along with you.
