blackjack mogs this shit
It's the true skill based ludokino

Gambling thread?

do you get kicked out when you start winning, then it's not realistic and nothing more than a kids toy.

blackjack is pure boredom

It's like edging

there are anons itt RIGHT NOW that've never knocked back some brews and played a couple hands with their bros

PokerNight_2.png - 2121x1414, 2.34M

in 10th grade i bought a $150 dollar poker set with chips, cards, and a fancy felt mat so i could bring it to my school's board/card game club

i was suspended for 2 weeks for illegal gambling and the police questioned my mother that night, demanding she turn over the poker set i bought with $150 of my own money

there were kids in my school vaping in the bathrooms and smoking weed they sourced from the local cartels. none of them were ever questioned

i hate living in america so god damn much

i got into mahjong 2 weeks ago and now its my entire personality

Thats not Kingsfield 4

five card poker is the dark souls 2 of poker

Sure we have, and there is always the one "bro" who is a high functioning, high IQ autist, who ruins it for everyone because he thinks he is a pro poker player, counts cards, and get unreasonably upset when he's successfully bluffed and loses a hand he was "sure" he was going to win.

Holy fuck you type like a Redditor.

Good God man, which state? That's gotta be a local problem

Mahjong is better

I prefer the japanese version, with tiles, points and predefined match length.

lol I'm on a roll
What's that? I haven't rolled bellow an 8 yet?
I'm just on a hot streak :^)

Pot Limit Omaha is the Elden Ring of poker

small town in southeast texas near both an oil refinery and a military base. our drinking water is 90% lead and 10% arsenic.

For me it's war

Gambling is for degenerates, real men play chess

I keep returning to it.

I like playing blackjack because you're only playing against the house and you can pick up and go whenever you want.
When you buy into a poker game you're kind of stuck there until you bust out or win, and I really get bored of poker after a couple hands.
I also hate that WSOP made fucking texas holdem the default poker game. I miss some five or seven card stud, omaha, gimme some fucking hi-low or paigow.

i only know how to play blackjack due to god hand and and doa xtreme. how the fuck do i learn poker, i get filtered every time from a mix of confusion and boredom but my coworkers seem to have fun doin it on saturdays so ive always wanted to learn but they aint the teaching type

predefined solved game

yawn

On the other end, I played with a dumbass friend who would call on everything and never actually think about his hand. If you raised on him he'd just call or go all in. No fun to play against

random critz are bad because... they just are ok?

Its not that hard. Just learn your hands and what beats what.
The problem with poker is there a million different variants. Texas holdem is the most common. You get two cards that are yours, and then 5 community cards everyone shares, and between your cards and the card on the table you want to get the best hand possible.
If you're playing five card stud, which used to be the most popular (you usually see it in tv and movies, especially movies before the early 00's), everyone gets their own five cards, and you can discard and ask the dealer for new cards once.

be me

friend drags me to a bar for poker night

whatever 10 dollar buy in

hes at some other table

I'm playing with a bunch of randos

one guy thinks this bar poker night is srs bsns

I'm getting fucking bored and just trying my hardest to lose

get off suit nine deuce

he's talking shit and I go all in so I can fuck off to the bar and get drunk

end up getting some bullshit hand that isn't great but beats everyone who was in

this dude is having an absolute hissy fit because NO ONE PLAYS A NINE DEUCE!

I'm fucking mad because now I'm the big stack at the table and I'm going to be stuck there for another 30 minutes

I could understand if we were playing heads up poker for real money, but all you got was fucking bar cash.

Chess isn't solved even by hyper computers
Randomness is bad game design

unc doesn't know poker is also a solved game

You can't "solve" poker because of the inherent randomness of shuffling a deck. There are more ways to arrange 52 cards in a deck than there are grains of sand on the beach, and any given shuffle can give you any cards.
I mean you can "beat" any gambling system by brute forcing the law of large numbers, but that requires you to have infinite money and infinite time to double your bet every time you lose.

I love playing poker but your experience depends very heavily on who you're playing with. If you play at casinos, you're going to meet a couple of recurring characters:

old white men who will spend 8+ hours a day gambling their retirement/inheritance/social security and know everyone else by name

young asian guys who will play online poker on their phone in the middle of a hand. They'll get interrupted by a phone call at least every 30 minutes, and end the night losing everything they have in a single hand of baccarat

black guys who will go all-in on garbage hands, then buy back in with whatever number of 20 dollar bills they have stuffed in their shoe

middle-aged guy/girl who came with their spouse, trying to play a slow game while their partner slowly bleeds money at a slot machine

young white dude who came in a group of 4-6 other young white dudes all dressed in golfing/frat boy attire. They tend to all play on the same blackjack table but sometimes branch out into a poker room if they're feeling lucky (they're not).

old asian man/woman (can't tell because they're so old) who will bet more than a thousand dollars on a single hand without even blinking. Scary to play against.

I'm not going to go into the dealer stereotypes, since they're actually pretty decent people all around. Tournament poker is also a grab-bag of weird people. I recommend poker as a hobby to people who have trouble socializing, since its totally acceptable to just sit quietly and observe other people if you want.

Live in the USA and never made an account with FanDuel or draft kings?
Got $10 you can deposit from an online bank (PayPal, Apple pay works here too)

If you said yes to the above then you are eligible to exploit a new user promo where you get $100+ FanDuel (small risk) and $65+ from draft kings (guaranteed)

skill based

sure
but its not the REAL ludokino

It's insane that Blue eyes is still meta when link summons is like 5 years old by now.
You'd think a vanilla lvl 8 would be out of the meta by the XYZ era.

Game Theory Optimum basically solved holdem. It yields better winrates than any human player ever achieved, by a large margin.

This is a real crappy post

The police can't just demand you hand over something that's totally legal to own. That's illegal as fuck. If this wasn't a fictional scenario in the imagined past I'd sue.

I only play single player games

free cell.png - 1434x859, 774.47K

I'd sue.

retard

Hearts with Jack of Diamonds rule is the GOAT card game

poker

Poor man's Mahjong. Only upside is that you can play it with a crazy number of people.

elaborate

too bad mahjong is fucking impossible to learn if your skin isn't yellow

get 4 sequences and a pair

hit the free sex button

either win or dont win

not hard lad

Once you got a new account and deposited $10 you will then need to bet $5 to initiate the bonus bet rewards (FanDuel you need to win so look for an easy game, soccer or tennis is great for this)

Once you get the bonus bets just look for a tennis match that hasn't started where the odds are equal, usually a "-114 vs -114" or "-120 vs -120" odds is the best option here. When you found such a match go ahead and evenly place the bonus bets received from the promo
$125 on one player and $125 on the opponent of the same tennis game with the bonus bets promo using a -120 vs -120 game will guarantee a win of $100 - $110 ($250 bonus bets on FanDuel allows this, draft kings gives $200 bonus bets but no need to win the first $5 bet)

For me it's Spider

Go-fish sweeps.

I went to a casino as a dumb eighteen year old and lost an entire month’s earning from my crappy wagie job. Never stepped into one since and I’m genuinely pissed that sports betting is so big, that shit ruins people’s lives

mahjong requires minimum 101 iq so 90% of anons are gonna be locked out

Yeah but like... who the frick understands chinese?

Tips on choosing the easy wins for the FanDuel "win first $5 bet, get $250 bonus bets" promo

Tennis and soccer games are great and easier to find winning games on so we will focus on these two

Tennis

Player with set 1 match already won (mandatory)

Player is currently 3 points ahead of the opponent (if available)

Opponent is not 5 points or is about to get 5 points (15 -> 30 -> 45 -> AD -> point)

(Optional but recommended)

Soccer

Any game nearing the end with a 3-0 or 2-0 standing where you can still bet on the point leader

Bonus round*

If you had a referral you would of gotten 2 %100 profit boost up to $25 wager, just do the same with the bonus bets and you can add an additional $15 - $21 by wagering $25 cash (from your winnings)

Last piece from me

Other apps where you can do something similar: bet365, ESPN bet, fanatics sportsbook

FanDuel and draft kings gives $200+ bonus bets while these vary at a lesser value
Fanatics sportsbook has a very good strategy on getting people hooked on gambling but if you can faithfully follow my winning tips then a total of $250 bonus bets can be acquired here and converted to withdrawable cash

Oh one final thing (for realsies)

After getting the money from bonus bets and then withdrawal, delete the app and forget about most cept for FanDuel and draft kings, you can refer other people to do this and you can receive more %100 profit boosts that you can convert into easy money
