Gut instinct is to recommend something like Tales of Zestiria, which has Sorey and Mikleo, but I haven't played it (or at least not past the intro) and it's apparently fujobaity instead of full on gay romance? Can someone confirm?
NieR: Replicant has Emil and Nier, but it's a smaller subplot and they don't get together.
I know some Rune Factory games have gay romance, but that kind of thing might leave you wanting in terms of quality writing, being farming sims.
A good bet would be mods for certain games. I found a mod for Persona 3 PSP that would let you romance the male romance options as the male MC. I'm a fan of Akihiko but haven't been able to bring myself to replay Persona 3 just for this.

Honestly I probably put more hours into RPG maker than actually playing games. One day I want to make my own The Thing sequel in RPG maker.

That sounds cool, I tried to use RPG Maker once and it seemed simple enough, you just need all the assets.
I beat Clair Obscur this week, got through the DMCHD collection before that and Xenoblade X before that. Rythm games are a guilty pleasure even if I suck at them sometimes. I never played Lethal Co but I did play REPO with friends.
I watch anime, movies and tv shows from my backlog but I'm never going to clear them because I can't marathon stuff.
