end up watching Twitch streams instead of playing games
havent played a game in months because of this addiction
I CANT FUCKING STOP I WANT TO STOP BUT I CANT FUCKING STOP
end up watching Twitch streams instead of playing games

I CANT FUCKING STOP I WANT TO STOP BUT I CANT FUCKING STOP
I never understood the appeal of watching other people play videogames. I can understand listening to a streamer or sum cringeworthy shit like that while you're busy doing housework, vacuuming, laundry, etc, but why would you want to waste your time actually sitting down and WATCHING another person play games?
It's just super weird to me, OP. It's like watching someone fuck your girlfriend/wife instead of getting the job done yourself. If you're not in the mood to play, then don't play. But why do you feel the need to watch other men play YOUR games? I think you might be a cuck 0_0
me except esoteric and theology videos on youtube
It's an addiction I can't break. I literally cannot pick up a game even though I really want to. I just sit there and watch slop.
watching Twitch streams
Have you considered cancelling your internet service?
I had a small time period of about 2 months where this happened to me, years ago when I discovered Two Best Friends and became addicted to the Shitstorm. Never watched any other video game youtubers or streamers before. The way I broke out of it was by playing every single game they were doing in the Shitstorm while their video played on my second monitor and I pretended to be part of the LP. Eventually I was like "I will kill myself if I have to listen to these retards interrupt me when I am clearly playing this game better than they are" and I stopped being so addicted. I still watch their old videos but putting myself in that position, strategically was some Art of War shit to force my hand, like sinking my own boats to prevent my army from retreating.
I like video essays myself.
got through that phase and now i'm on playing gacha game phase. also, what streamers?
have you tried sitting in silence for 10 minutes a day?
twitch is fucking gay. People just put 'retro' for everything so you cant find shit.
All those cunts putting their mental illnesses in tags. And who thinks people want to see their fucking head? terrible
it can be enjoyable to watch someone experience a great game for the first time, or to watch someone perform at a high skill level that you can learn from
these are things you can't just do yourself by playing
Zoomer issue
I donate to women with expressions of love just to get a reaction.
I agree especially with the latter point. I watch a lot of Resident Evil hardest difficulty runs on YT and some of the shit they do is really cool I remember the first time I saw the Ditman Glitch I was amazed
What is so appealing about this anon? Why do you like it so much? I can never sit down and watch a livestream. I can watch edited vods but never live
I can get watching speedrunners and compfags but the average streamer is so garbage at games that it just makes me upset. God help those watching women play games
Find something you can play while you watch a stream.
Something that doesn't require too much complex thought and can be muted, like Pokemon or a musou.
i only watch twitch if it's a tournament or if there's nothing good on youtube. My feed is kind of fucked after clicking 'not interested' on 100 videos a day for 5 years.
I've ran out of hobbyist channels and essays to watch. After you watch 50 videos about one subject, it feels like you've seen them all. 90% of videos regurgitate the same talking points and info.
If i want yapping background noise I'll put on one of the 3 vtubers I like
If i'm sleepy and want to read, I open my ereader and throw on something like cab train POV videos. it keeps my zoomerboomer brain engaged on the book but in a comfy way.
I beaten it with a CRT TV.
Same computer, using a shitty HDMI to composite adapter.
Just the ritual of turning on the tv and loading retroarch on it and all that makes me get away from the net shit.
I play games with a stream in the background and just put down whatever I'm playing and watch whenever I eat or drink or something not that hard bud
I never had friends or people to play and talk about video games with
streamers feel like hanging out with a friend
Recc me channels.
Why can't you play a game as the stream plays?
Kinda surface level stuff, but Harmony is a fantastic Orthodox channel.
Adam's Lament sticks with me.
it's impossible to actually concentrate like this
I need to hug this anon
Do you like spooky? Horror is basically the only genre I play but I'll talk about it with you
Pic related
I'm an Atheist but I gotta admit, Orthodox chants sound pretty great.
youtube.com
I don't, I get scared really easily
I get scared opening the garage door at night and I'm scared of walking around my house in the dark sometimes
What's the appeal of watching a twitch stream? It only makes sense to me if you're horny, retarded, and think you have a chance with an egirl.
There's nothing wrong with watching streams.
If anything, streams have convinced me to buy and play more games than demos have.
The moment they start getting more than 25 viewers I leave cause that's when the ego starts
hipster
zoomers watch games instead of playing games
each donate at least $150 a month to streamers
zoomers use onlyfans instead of watching free porn
each pay at least $200 a month to softcore whores
and when zoomers do play vidya it's fortnite where all you do is buy and collect skins
tell me im wrong
you're just as retarded as someone who only watches the most popular streamers
have like 10 tabs of youtube video left
this is after cleaning up tabs with video I don't even care but why did I even click on it
not playing games while watching streamers on a second screen
Amateur. I'm racking up hours in Recettear.
yeah but I still don't pay them
Have streamer on third monitor
Have Maplestory on second monitor as I wait for boss parties
Have Uni2 on primary monitor doing ranked fights
Absolutely no progress will be done
I guess it mentally feels like a better use of my time being a part of something, even if I literally do not type. Playing games in my room alone just doesn't hit the same if you're not sharing that experience with a friend.
second monitor gaming
a good indicator that the game you're playing is shit
I have ADHD I am phyisically incapable of doing watching two things at once.
You can make using Twitch a game.
Try creating accounts with the most outlandish, offensive names you can think of. Purposely try to bypass filters by sounding out certain words. I've gotten multiple furries to say nigger on accident by doing this.
I'm an Atheist but I gotta admit, Orthodox chants sound pretty great.
Don't worry, you will fit right in with every other western Orthodox """"convert""" on the internet.
This, fpbp.
I've thought about it and I've seen people get rangebanned/shadowbanned/automatic new account warnings and it doesn't seem worth the effort of ban evasion
I find it a motivator myself, gets me to play the game before their vods are deleted.
They revamped their entire system a year ago. It was possible to pretty much create endless accounts with non-existent emails without the need to verify anything, now it's required to.
I've been making content offline for months now, and with my friend. It's completely shot my confidence on being able to do things on my own. I also kept making excuse after excuse to not stream. I've been playing a lot of stuff for my YT channel and I kinda wanted to chill with something that was just for me. I planned on playing Mass Effect 3, but last second decided to force myself to stream it. The whole purpose was to just do it and try to get over my anxiety of streaming and doing something solo, so I didn't make any attempt to be lively or entertaining that time. It was great and I did it again the next day, except I tried being more alive, and it was a lot fun despite the game driving me completely insane. There's a number of games I planned on making videos on for the channel, so I'm gonna make an effort to stream it as well.
They said they were playing while watching on a second monitor, reading comprehension a bit gone there bud?
you should only ever watch speedruns so that you can learn funny glitches and exploits
It's called cuck mentality
i like to watch instead of doing it myself!
This is me, but instead of Twitch streams I'm watching people play balatro on YouTube all day.
yeah thats what that term means you fucking cretin
I like to watch streams from better players and learn from them. Of course, you also need to play games for this to be useful at all
RTS specifically is a genre that is way more fun to watch than play.
Not even as back ground noise can I do it. I was doing it for a bit cause of free drops you can only get via twitch but I don't really play online multiplayer games anymore so there's no need for it.
absolutely no interest in watching others play video games
watch one clip of someone playing game badly, having no awareness or critical thinking to solving issue/problems
I quite literally cannot stop watching people play video games now, I don't know what it is but watching retards genuinely play games but do so in the most offensive way possible has become an addiction. I've become obsessed with psychoanalyzing streamers while they play games and wondering how the ever loving fuck they got to where they are and why anyone genuinely finds them entertaining in a positive light. My entertainment comes from negativity, that makes sense to me as it's fascinating watching someone blame everyone else around them, the game included and even the developer or people in their chat only to actually be wrong about what they were mad over then try to down play the mistake or move past it like it never happened
One guy I watch is in his late 20's and he's the biggest narcissist I've seen online. He will make decisions for everyone he plays with without asking them, if things go wrong he uses "we" and when things go right he uses "I"
He constantly ignores his "friends" and they never bat an eyelid over it, if they ignore him once because they're not waiting on him hand and foot to do whatever he asks at any given moment in time he blows a gasket and has to mute himself while he shit talks his "friends" for 5 minutes only to find out that the reason they didn't obey his every command and follow him around the game like a dog waiting on its master is because they were doing something more important than whatever he wanted them to do and it won't phase him. He'll just go on to do the exact same thing again moments later
I watch like 5 different streamers who are like this and they're popular in the line of games they play, I don't know why I enjoy it but I literally cannot help it. Maybe it's because I'm a shitty human being and want to see the worst in others to feel better
have busywork to do
keep getting distracted and looking at other shit
oh, i know, i'll do some idle second thing to keep my fucked up attention sated
put some music on
brain redirects all attention to every possible aspect of the music over whatever it is i need to do
get literally nothing done
This always happens to me
last night
studying for Symbolic Logic
Yay De Morgans law how fun
take a break, put on YT and grab a beer
90's anime playlist comes on
pretend I'm a Gundam pilot for the next 3 hours
I'm gunna get a B in this class and ruin my GPA
sometimes you're curious what a new game is, but not curious enough to buy it yourself.
sometimes you want to learn how to play a game better.
it's honestly much better to watch a streamer play some sloppa than to waste your money on it yourself. and by watch I mean have playing in the background while you do something else and glance at it occasionally.
One of the things i liked about TBF is that they were actually competent in a lot of the games they played. The grinded out off camera. They knew the strats before hand. I guess because my only other experience was GG, TBF was a breath of fresh air. Plus, they have a special place in my heart for racist Wakka.
Although I never exclusive watched streamers, I used to constantly have LPs running on my second monitor. Like you, it was the endless inane, pointless, cringey comments that made me realize many of these guys are losers. Remove the gameplay footage, and it often sounds like a low effort podcast.
if things go wrong he uses "we" and when things go right he uses "I"
a true classic
Watch a guide or watch a trailer you mongoloid, no wonder streaming is so hot if it's overflowing with retards like you.
I don't watch Twitch but occassionally I'll come across some boomer on Youtube doing a live stream of a game and have almost no audience, I'll usually chat with them out of sympathy
listen here you failed male.
guides are cherry picked optimal scenarios and don't teach you how to come back when you're losing or what the play is to counter certain opponents.
trailers are fake.
no wonder this place is so hot if it's overflowing with retards like you.
