I think cold steel was fine, and pretty innovative for the series for what it was but it had SO MUCH FILLER. Needless filler that added nothing to the story.You could probably cut out 90% of cold steel 3 and 4 because they were basically the exact same game and plot from 1 and 2

Nah it's shit and the only reason more people don't agree with that is that SC retroactively validates it to an extent. In a vacuum it's unquestionably the worst stand alone game. The single worst gameplay in the series, boring characters with zero depth or interesting characterization, terrible character interactions that are about as interesting as watching paint dry and the worst offender of the "literally nothing fucking happens: the game" that Kiseki is known for.
