Do The Japanese Like Nantoka 33?

Are they enjoying it? I know they can't pronounce it. Do they think it's innovative? Do they approve of the combat system?
Do they like the art/music? What about the story or vibe?

lun.jpg - 416x501, 38.67K

ストーリー、演出、音楽が素晴らしい。
各キャラも個性があって良い。
クリア後もやり込める。

What about the gameplay?

Why are her legs so muscular?

9% of global is a lot.

I'm certainly enjoying it.

That's French.

Who cares? they have shit taste and they don't play turn based anymore, they prefer actual slop. The whole reason 33 was made to begin with was to emulate the old school JRPG, because those don't fucking exist anymore. DQ is kind of still there but it's just not fair to say that when it's one of the only ones out there along with Atlust and their obsession with Persona shit. Japanese players have no credibility as far as I'm concerned.

ミニマップがないのでダンジョンては迷う。
目的地ガイドもない。
戦闘はかなり楽しい ターン制のコマンドバトルではあるが、パリィや回避などのおかげでアクションゲームをやってる感覚になる。

Dayum. 66% of all the negative reviews are in Chinese.

really makes you think

They shouldn't be since she flys everywhere. They should look emaciated like wheelchair legs.

they tend to be very vocal if they're not pandered to. i'd imagine 90% of that is not having chinese voices/bad localisation or whatever

Yeah makes sense.

1. Just remember where you are
2. You don't have to parry if you build to be hit.

Half her moves involve kicking.

Everyone dies young in their world so they have kids as early as possible and her parents were researchers and had her specifically to assist their work so obviously they would have had her do physical training her whole life so she could join an expedition.

Kurea Obskyua Eksuped Saatisreee

Kuroskua tsusan

The story is what seems to be the problem from what I've seen from the reviews. They just don't like it for some reason. A few also don't seem to like the QTEs or parry system

No.

Well, it's not a power fantasy and in fact it reprimands you for escapism.
Chinks wouldn't like that.

Why would you care if Japanese like something or not? For all I know Japanese young only like being neets spend their allowance on gacha shit.

I can never tell if this is a post 2016 retard internet take or there are that many shills/bots by Jews to just basically defuse all original enthusiasm on the internet.
I've thought that for a while.
That the point of the nuInternet post-2016 is to defuse and discredit literally any and all thought and enthusiasm and give a shit that isn't derived from a corporate or government curated set of ideas. Like digital Maoism.

number 1 selling game on playstation store since launch
physical sold out everywhere in japan (and worldwide for that matter)
I'd say yeah they like it

Will Square Enix order Naoki Yoshida and Tetsuya Nomura to commit suicide over this?

Maybe if Maelle was romanceable they'd like it

66% of all the negative reviews are in Chinese

If even the smallest thing pisses off the chinese you’ll have the whole country try to review bomb you.

IMG_5388.png - 585x738, 401.41K

actual slop

Which is the entirety of four niggers in a row jarpigs. Good on the japs for not even bothering with a knockoff game in their home turf genre because they see dogshit for what it is.

GYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Bonjour.jpg - 2560x1440, 721.66K

you don't realize it but posts like yours are part of the problem. Nobody engages organically with media anymore. You yourself are caught up in a weird meta narrative filtered through subcultural identification through consumption

The game looks good visually to me, the french can make good games when allowed to. The impression I get from the talk around this game is some anons feel the need to counter signal it because the "wrong" people are praising it which is an insane way to process reality but anons gonna anon

Maybe I'm turning into a normalfag but I just don't have patience anymore for whatever schizo asshurt stick up the ass this site gets over literally everything but honestly even autistic kid me would think your all insane faggots

man faced

Imagine having an entire lucrative genre in a market cornered and 2 morons who don't play video games convince you otherwise.
The seethe of the Square board must be amazing. Fuck Yoshi-P and his MMO bullshit

No famitsu review yet or sales data from the bigs. I'd say it's doing decent. Still just out and didn't have good advertising in japan and I'm not sure if the launch was handled well.

Fuck that. Just call it なんとか33. Just search social media or youtube for that name.

You think they're going to go after civ for making Ghenghis Kahn a black woman?

Why do you care what the japs think?
They're a dysfunctional culture and their most played games are autoplay gachashit on their phones.

PS5 is an anemic as fuck market

Xbox/PC is going to be stifled by game pass

The real test will be if and when it gets a Switch 2 release.

Either way it's a good game, only terminally online losers need the emotional validation of the Japanese

Is this the next evolution of steam charts threads?

I'm reading japanese twitter and most seem to like it. One even said "the incompetent ff team could never make something like this" lol.

If that's a man then I'm the biggest faggot to have walked the earth

The real test will be if and when it gets a Switch 2 release.

I really wanted this game on Switch2. But for better or worse the game released first and I just couldn't wait.
PC is nice too though. And surprisingly it even has good KB&M controls so partway through I even stopped using the gamepad.

For modern Squeenix? True.
If Mistwalker and Sakaguchi had the full Square Enix resources though? They could probably have made something like this. But that's not the world we live in.

What the fuck is Square Enix's problem?

They decided to listen to their localizers and chase the "modern audience"

Wait until popular vTubers stream it

This guy says the game is photogenic and wants a photo mode so he can take pictures of Maelle.

jp twitter.png - 888x691, 480.25K

Yes.

That's just Chinese reviews in general. They flip the fuck out over any and everything. If you aren't explicitly catering to them you are going to get a large number of Chinese negative reviews.

The story is what seems to be the problem from what I've seen from the reviews. They just don't like it for some reason.

Chinese writing is radically different compared to writing in many other countries. It's fucking awful but it's what they know so it's what they're comfortable with and when they're not comfortable with something they get angry. They place way too much emphasis on things that don't matter and the things that do matter get skimmed over.

Ching chong bing bong to you too!

It's ching chong ping pong anon, don't be racist.

no

I just don't really get what catering is supposed to mean in the context of this game specifically.
I looked up some acclaimed games released this year and they all seem to be very highly rated by them, pretty much on par with everybody else (Split Fiction, KCD2, Oblivion Remastered). Some discrepancies are found in regards to TLOU2PR and FF7Rebirth (rated lower than NA/Euros but on par with Japan and Korea)

Lune my beloved.

number 1

screenshot shows it's 6th

lol

retard

“catering” to the Chinese means sucking their dick, they’re not to be taken seriously

All the other shits are gacha

I wonder how many Chinese dicks Vavra had to suck then.

Lune is actually my fiance

I just don't really get what catering is supposed to mean in the context of this game specifically.

Anon you're thinking about this too logically. It doesn't matter that it's not a Chinese game. It doesn't matter that it doesn't take place in China or NotChina. It doesn't matter that it's not borrowing heavily from Chinese mythology. Stop thinking logically. Logic doesn't apply to them. Chinese people will play a game, see that it doesn't have the Chinese writing that they're used to and the Chinese themes that they're used to and they'll leave a review purely because of that.

other games

All of them are very traditional fantasy or don't have consistent themes/writing. At the very least they're capable of not sperging out if a game is a very simple fantasy adventure or small scale exploration of a character. Those games don't have anything which offend them. What offends them? Any sort of ideology or cultural influence which goes against or does not include China. E33 has very blatant French inspiration and that's what sets them off. If they see cultural representation without their own they get mad. If there was a Chinese main character who had a story arc reminiscent of one of the three stories that constantly get recycled in Chinese writing I guarantee more than half of their negative reviews would never have existed.

selling

the others are free games

Why does Alicia have a bunch of writing tools in her room? She's not seriously a dirty fucking writer is she?

wriggers did nothing wrong

implying Japanese browse Anon Babble

they're the most infamous for their shitty english skill

writers were framed by clea. she intended for alicia to die in the fire, not verso

Stop explaining things you don't understand, you fucking monkeys. This is me telling you that you're wrong.

Any sort of ideology or cultural influence which goes against or does not include China.

Isn't that KCD2 though? Inspired by Medieval Bohemia, very Central Europe cantered and all that, not a trace of China in it.

What, do you think the Painters are all illiterate or something?

Nobody was implying anything like that. I checked.

Impossible, I'm already married to her feet

Chinese genuinely don't view a lot of basic European culture as European culture. They view it as fantasy because it's so common to see in fantasy settings of all media. They think of knights as a fantasy archetype, not something out of history.

Look at this wr*ter trying to cover his tracks.

Why would she ask Verso to take care of Alicia then?

I don't understand chicken scratches.

Chinese very often leave negative reviews and rarely positive ones. The new Steam meta is to launch your game when the Chinese are asleep to collect as many positive reviews as you can before they fuck up your ratio.

I love it.

Why do you care? Japs only plays Nintendo slop and gachashit. Once in a blue moon they play Monster Hunter and Dragon Quest and that's it.

t. paintard

Loony

Japs generally love franco-belgian animation and movies. Lot of famous mangakas cite french comics and artists as their influence.

A few also don't seem to like the QTEs

they constantly fail real-life QTEs when they drive their cars so it checks out
