Even as a noob you are working to get better.
Without looking online, if you played a few thousand games you would eventually land at something similar to the build orders yourself, by gradually improving.
Looking at some build orders and getting a baseline on how to do an archer build or MAA/scout build is fine to get a better understanding on how to speed up your dark age.
Then most build orders stop holding your hand and castle age onwards you are on your own, which is where most of the game happens.

The only time it would get "boring" is if you're an ADHD zoomer that wants a fast forward button to get to imp and have a huge city so you can send a massive army to your enemies base.
