That's all you'll ever find: another clue. Don't you get it, Simon? It's just another clue. And that will lead to another clue, and that will lead to another clue!
Blue Prince
Getting trolled by your relatives stupid ass puzzles hidden in the most random locations surely is a better way to spend your time than going to school.
Simon seems like the type to have skipped a grade or two anyway.
Museum map literally says ARG
We'll never find everything.
You mean this? Seems like a stretch to me.
Has this game been fully solved yet? Last I heard even the people datamining it can't tie up any of the loose ends of it.
I haven't really looked into it. All I can say is that I'm 135 hours in and I'm still solving mysteries.
Everything that can be found has been found in terms of endings and items and shit, but a lot of the mysteries are unfinished, either because they game's still gonna get content (which it is, to be clear, although the only thing confirmed is a minigame), as sequel bait, or just to be mysterious.
Unless there's some hidden ARG shit that nobody's found yet, which is technically possible.
EXCHETERA
Protip for anyone still playing, there's an infinite movement exploit involving the Antechamber and the Bedroom.
cool
i never had problems with steps tho
The last puzzle, finding the blue prince book, is basically saying this nonsense is the only way the mother can interact with her son and tell him all the shit she did.
Speaking of funny tricks (though this one is intentional), try taking an Electro Magnet into the Locksmith room. Watch what happens.
ESL here, how the fuck does the ul/lu particle works? Why it is not elteach but ulteach?
Yes. The rumpus room fortune teller’s last prophecy is bullshit, there is no additional content planned, Mary can’t come back, so all she could do to tell her son all the shit she did was scattered through the house.
It’s pretty much that old animal crossing pasta about a kid introducing animal crossing to his terminally ill mother and then coming back to it after and finding all the shit she did and left for him
but a lot of the mysteries are unfinished, either because they game's still gonna get content (which it is, to be clear, although the only thing confirmed is a minigame), as sequel bait, or just to be mysterious
It just leaves a bitter taste that the game feels incomplete with how it throws some clues at you at the end that just go nowhere like theROSEWARY and solarium thing.
What the fuck was Mary's problem? What's the point of stealing red crown and painting it blue? There is not even a blue realm in that world. They could've painted it black because Orinda Aries existed at one point, but then the game would be called Black Prince. Even the first Alzaran prophecy tells about black and red colors, possibly pointing at Orinda and Fenn. Or is Mary just wishing for another country other than Fenn and rest of the world, thus the blue color as no other realm is blue.
Which is silly because phone, mail, and email exist and the inner court already suspect she's behind the heist.
The prefix denotes the subject of the verb. Ulteach would be "you teach". Elteach would be "I teach". The "me" is being treated as implicit there. If they wanted to include it, it would be ovelulteach.
This stupid stamp is driving me crazy.
'me' on 'you teach me' is implicit
It's not about the direct object, but the subject
Simon must think his mother is insane.
I hope this post is not a political statement!
It’s that the kid is rightful heir to a throne of a sovereign nation that the redniggers stole from the blackniggers, but has no reason to honor the customs or ideals of the blackniggers. History has decoupled him from any sort of obligation to the past and the future is his alone, as ruler, as soon as he wants to be, of his own future.
or something. It’s a coming of age story.
Mary thinks there should be a new country that's blue.
She has autism and Simon inherited it.
Oh god, I was hyperfocusing on this text here and wondering how "I will/I will not" relates to ul/lu instead of translating the answers and understanding that ul/lu is "you/no u"
Phone, mail, and email, can be traced
She didn't paint it blue, she replaced the 8 red rubies in it with sapphires. That's where the 6 rubies you get with the letters come from (+ the 2 mentioned as having already turned up).
Also, yeah a lot doesn't make sense. The crown was always red even when it belonged to Oris, so desecrating it doesn't make much sense in the first place. There's also the matter of the original idea being to return the crown to Oris, but then she ended up leaving it in Reddington for you. That's likely because Mount Holly is the site of the original capital of Orinda Aries, but the idea was for the seat of power to be in Oris for the king to be closer to the people. Frankly she basically shit all over the legacy she was butthurt about.
So what’s the translation of the note in the tomb? I haven’t bothered because literally every time I’ve gone hard on solving some puzzle in this game, it’s a clue for shit I’ve already solved.
She's implied to be in either Corarica or Eraja. Literally who gives a shit? Also payphones exist given the time period, I'm sure.
give this game a shot
it's literally just slowly walking through rng rooms getting collectibles that are worthless
How is this meant to be fun? The only puzzle I found was piss easy.
Oris invaded/conquered aries, thus their crown is invalid according to Mary, that’s why she altered it.
redniggers stole from the blackniggers
I'm surprised there haven't been any fennposting or orindaposting or nobody got called a morajai nigger in Blue Prince threads. There's a glimpse of potential here.
The slowly walking rng fest is only the beginning unfortunately.
She committed crimes that would invalidate her child’s claims to sovereignty, is the logic at work. If anyone else could figure out the connections, they’re all in prison and they take Mount Holly
It’s because none of the nations have a distinct identity. They’re all just trivia to solve other puzzles that only amount in a trophy
alright faggots, wish me luck
The last answer is 46
I'm about mostly done with it, I think.
To my first iris,
You are my day, you are my night, you are my world.
To you I gift my house to the south. This is the dawn of your future without me.
This is the dawn of my future without you. First, I bid you heed my word : You oddiris.
Abandon House Sinclair. Abandon House Epsen... Forget your ein inn.
Your jorjeari. Your future is to the south away from Fenn. Your einjoro away.
To Eraja. To the south is a new future.
I'm guessing it's a letter from Herbert to Mary before she left?
I know commies aren't very smart, but what the fuck was the point of wrecking all the railways supposed to be
I'm not done with the game, but I don't think we're ever given definitive proof that the MC is descended from the royal line that fled to Eraja even if he is Erajan.
Destroy a major national symbol. Also makes a counterrevolution hard to organize and supply.
The plot thickens when you learn the history of Orindia and find that Orinda Aries was not the good and noble realm that you might expect, casting further suspicion on Mary's actions.
Why does fire open up the sundial? The game has a bunch of stupid "puzzles" where you get a note that tells you to do something random in a random spot and this has got to be the peak.
How does that even make sense in-universe?
I did this shit by accident. Haven't found a clue for it yet. Why is because Herbert liked stupid puzzles. That's not exactly impossible to engineer.
It’s just bad game design. It’s practically constant to find hints for shit you already solved because of basic “game” logic. The worst example being the painting puzzles telling you how to open safes you’ve already opened
I like it. It means that even if there's a secret you'll never notice, you might find the other secret and solve the puzzle.
Was there 30 or 20 minutes for the exam? Because I barely managed to answer everything before the time started to run out.
fml
Cs make degrees.
I got an A- on my first try. Glad I don't have to do that shit again.
That’s just why Mary doesn’t want to establish the blackniggers
What do you get for getting a good mark? I got B-
this game seems stupid. i played it on ps plus and all you do is walk slowly and choose rooms to walk into and get gems, keys and bananas and some shit. theres no point to this game. thank god it was free on ps plus, bc i would be mad if i paid for this garbage. the reviews are so botted
Landmark location for deciding battle of the War of the Fifth Era
Colossus Orinda
I don't see anything which points to that place, there's one map which mentions it but I don't see it anywhere else.
It's a nonlinear game with multiple hints for various puzzles. That's good game design.
If anything some solutions are too rare. The only solution to the Office being in the Foyer is rough.
A trophy for any A grade.
the worst example is swansong being spelled on the monitors if you don't just read it on the scribbled note in the same room
You can see it in the history class slides
Bear in mind you need 8 trophies to unlock the hint system.
This is stupid given how much harder finding the clues for that shit is than finding a magnifying glass.
I liked the puzzle that leads you to the sundial, I just hated how the reward is more slots for microchips when I can't even find the other two for the Grotto.
I don't think so.
I just hated how the reward is more slots for microchips when I can't even find the other two for the Grotto
You'll laugh when you find the 2nd microchip. Definite "I guess nothing said I couldn't do that" moment.
There's more to the monitors than just "Swansong" though
Have you gotten all the mail room letters? One of the letters basically says that everything leading to blackbridge is hidden in A New Clue
I have already spent so much time staring at that damn book
Well, besides the fact you can't do that to any of the other identical copy-paste vases
Yes. The sad part is that the community DOESN'T think it's fully solved yet when it is. The game has zero content left according to datamining.
One slide in the classroom shows battle taking place in a town scenery.
Another slide where people are celebrating is taking place in a nondescript empty land. I am not seeing this Colossus Orinda anywhere. But I guess it's the only correct answer because:
angel tower is not mentioned anywhere, not even on a map unlike the Colossus
Royal Museum of Fenn was created after Leerson's death
Mount Holly wasn't related to this specific war
Looking at the discord every now and then is pretty funny, it's fucking insane chaos in there. I can't believe people think it's a good platform for collecting and storing info, every single thread or topic is a mess of people joining late and asking answered questions, or disrupting any actual discussion on insane attempts at finding more puzzles
There's definitely more content coming. Dirigiblocks, for one thing.
To be fair, datamining wouldn't tell you certain shit. Anything ARG or just hidden messages in shit already in the game.
I don't think there's anything like that given how direct all the other clues are, but I can see how people might think otherwise. The dumbass robot kinda primes the player base to expect more than what is in the game.
its almost like discord is worthless or something
angel tower is not mentioned anywhere, not even on a map unlike the Colossus
Actually it's on the guidebook and subway maps.
dirgiblocks is a tetris reference negro.
He didn't see the signs.
The game outright says dirigiblocks is coming in a later patch, dipshit.
Yeah. There are attempts to make databases and someone registered a wiki that still seems to be in the onboarding process but on the whole the Discord is ridiculously inefficient because of its nature. I'm just watching it to see if someone can prove me wrong and actually find something huge, but there's just been nothing. The wiki is personally going to be the best closure I can get personally for the game since I can put my notes there and forget about the game.
I know. The only sane thing left to do is wait for that.
Well, the thing is the dev said he wanted people to be able to solve the game on their own and specifically said he didn't add ARGs. But the dev also said he wanted to sell a complete game that won't need updates or DLC but the game breaks the fourth wall to tell you to wait for the Dirigiblocks update so who the heck knows what's going on over there. The game's pretty huge and dense so it's definitely possible for dataminers to overlook things, but again, they've found nothing so far.
oh my fucking god
I read this book 50 hours ago. I also saw the metro map but skimmed through it, decided it's probably for the new clue and I left it for later. That's a lot of faraway clues for a single exam question.
the devs said there aren't going to be any patches.
I'll join you
I don't understand my low Erajan score, I really studied that shit
I believe that alone would have taken me to A territory
Not him, but that's news to me. Link?
dirigiblocks home edition doesn't imply that
he didn't study for the final
You don't say.
I didn't and managed to squeeze out an A- and get the trophy. ggez
No, it was 2am, I was 1 hour into the run and wanted to get it done. I never was good at those kind of games.
Also
day old last
you something first something large
night day
not your word name?day
Any erajan masters can help me understand how ULRAAJORAM breaks up into specific words? Of course it's the only word which makes sense here. I guess "raa" means "name" so it's ul-raa-aj-or-am? Where did this OR come from?
Jor = name
Of course it had to be in A New Clue.
The only solution to the Office being in the Foyer is rough.
I solved it entirely in the office somehow. I found the intended solution later.
"If we count small gates..."
Any idea why Clara Epsen's diary has a map of the West Path?
Based on the tile placed on the Outer Room, it's supposed to hint that you need to monk the Antechamber there for a clue. I've seen people also try to connect it to the spiral but I don't think that goes anywhere.
lolwut
at least do it on the floor wtf
It spreads to the floor eventually the more dirt you spread.
First time I get to the middle block in the chamber of mirrors; I have an idea of what I need to do now but my middle button is not interactable anymore
Is this intended
game put me to sleep within an hour, is it even worth playing
game keeps teasing at you visiting cool new locations
it never happens
legit mad
How long did it take you to reach full end? And how many spoilers did you use to get there? Don't lie. I know anyone saying under 150 hours is full of shit.
Well if you some slight hints (I'm not going to spoiler this whole message), there are two separate clues you're missing, each on individual pages so they're kinda easy to overlook while you're doing the whole book puzzle you've already done.
One is on a text page, one is on an illustration. They're both very simple, but the illustration one is so simple of a hint it's hard to even consider.
What in the fuck
used the Axe on the Vault because I was tired of finding deposit box keys and not being able to use them
I didn't know that you can only use the Axe three times
There must be an all-true box. There must be an all-false box.
White has the gems.
Ov=towards)(eld=my)(aj=1st)(iris=daughter),
(Ul=you are)(eld=my)(dau=day), (ul)(eld)(nai=night), (ul)(eld)(mora=? everything?)
(Ov=towards) (ul=you,)(el i)-(gift, give)-(eld, my)(hew=house) (Ov=towards/in the)(iss=south). (Nev=new)(dau=day) (ul=your)(arei=future) (le=without me, not me, a new future/beginning for you when i'm gone?).
(Nev=new)(dau=day) (eld=my)(arei=future)(lu= not you/wont?). (Aj=last)(el=i)(bid) (ul=you)heed (eld=my)lor(word): (Ul=you)(odd=??)(iris=daughter)
(Hew=house)-Sinclair-(lu=wont,isnt) &? (Hew=house)(Epsen)(lu=wont)... -(Forget)- (uld=your) (ein=dreams) inn (north, northern dreams). (is it saying "you'll never be a sinclair or an epsen"?)
(Uld=your)(jor=name)jeari (je ari family name).. (Uld=your)(arei=future) (Ov=towards)(iss=south);(fenn)(vo=away) (your future is south (in oraja), far from fenn?). (Uld=your)(ein=dreams) (joro=father)(vo=away, far). (your father's dreams? are far?)
(Ov=towards)(eraja). (Ov=towards)(iss=south) (nev=new/start)(arei=future).
my theory understanding is it's clara's mother lady ashlynn who is actually the one with desilets bloodline, grew up in eraja exile, and I think kaitlin ja arri born in 1924
but if letter is from clara side, and clara is a desilets i'm confused how it relates to herbert, and simon senior feeling so strongly about orindia
notice her saying "a new future in the south", is subverted in the holly mansion, herbert letter and sanctum says "a new future in the north"
I half guessed white and it had them. I understand white is false but blue and black trip me
-Next- means immediately adjacent in this context?
White must be false because only one box can have gems. Either blue or black is true — it doesn't matter which — which means white has the gems.
Yes, "immediately adjacent" is correct. One wouldn't normally say that blue is "next to" black in this context.
thx
whats the deal with angel tower
thats what next to means. yes.
a line of three objects object 1 and 3 arent next to eachother.
I mean that's not the worst room to axe. It's like a worse Attic if you hit up enough shops.
But yeah, not the best Axe target.
I think it might be a letter to Je Ari Yenna from her Erajan mother. We know Epsen and Sinclair are crown loyalists and going off the book clues in the Office we can assume that Je Ari Yenna referenced in "Flight of the Queen" is both a queen and an ancestor to one or more persons within the house (likely Clara due to her having Ajeran symbology associated with her). If we assume the letter is old enough, it makes sense for it to be a letter to Desilets IV's daughter from her mother at the fall of the old dynasty. We know the survivor(s) fled to Erajan. Would explain why Je Ari Yenna is identified as a queen that fled. It's her mother telling her to abandon her old name and take on a new name/title with her relatives across the border. Everything would fit.
How long did it take you to reach full end?
I'll let you know if I ever get there. I'm still working on the trophy case, collecting all of the Blue Tent and Treasure Trove notes, and experimenting with the Blessing of the Monk.
Erajan*
I got the blue prince at like 130 hrs, around a new clue i started looking for hints and basically gave up at the castle sipher (just find 2 adjacent letters in the whole house bro). I didn't find the final final thing because i've got no hints and cant be bothered
This thread made me look this game up, looks cool.
30 is a bit steep for my poor ass atm though. Maybe soon, wishlisted.
jor means name.
Grab it from cs rin ru. Nothing wrong with pirating if you can't afford to or want to try before buying.
Hmm...
That puzzle's pissing me off. I've got 6 fucking letter clues and no idea how they connect or where to use them.
Pirate it and cheat engine it. Not worth paying for malicious time wasting.
Anyone know if there is a limit on the number of duplicate floor plans I can get from the Chamber of Mirrors?
Because of the arcade machine, I expect more content to be added later.
I just found out that Repellant stops spawning if you have 3 repelled rooms. Just got a Lost & Found with a single item.
Was gonna try and break the Outer Room by repelling so many rooms that 3 couldn't spawn when drafting. Guess this limit's there to prevent shit like that.
Not to my knowledge, but I wouldn't be surprised if you can only get each room so many times so you don't brick your save by flooding your drafting pool with dead ends or something. Also I'm sure either way there's definitely a hard limit just by way of how programming works.
placing the secret garden at E4 erases the statue outside
which means the room swapping mechanism extends beyond the bounds of the house itself
Man, imagine the schoolhouse Herbert helped build in Reddington was part of a larger suite of construction and actually there's some greater mechanism that can swap around the whole town for when the family line is ready to rebel. I read a light novel where the MC could move around buildings and it was hilariously busted in war.
cacat?
To me it's just fucking weird that the whole "rosewary" actually leads to a genuine clue that makes sense AND is physically acknowledged and represented in the Solarium... but you can't do shit with it.
Like, the whole spiral/does it never end thing as a theme is fine, open the box, get dissapointed, see the spiral and go on insane chase that will never end. Good and fun theme that speaks that really speaks to the people playing these kinds of games.
But when it leads to actual clues that just can't be used for no other reason that apprently it's just no in the fucking game, it feels less like a theme and more like a not-so-funny troll.
What do you think?
That's because it was never the house, but the ground.
This game is near 10/10. It's so fucking addictive to the point where it annoys me.
just 1 more run
I mean, there is a whole outer room that can lead to a building the size of the estate. And given the name "atelier" and it being made of literal blueprints, I think it's pretty much confirmed the owner of the manor can create new rooms.
Only time I did was when I had the buff that allowed you to draft with steps instead of gems.
That was a bad idea.
are you french?
Here's the thing: is this a bug or clue?
hey i saw on reddit a redditor made a website with the 5 9 grid and it let you pick rooms to make a custom house, anyone has the url?
It's a clue, you need to water the stamp with still water and then bring it in the freeze which will create a lock that you then need to melt in the powered furnace, but only when it drafted from secret passage in the corner, then you unlock it with the Aries key which will give you note saying "so close, yet so far" in blue with Dracxus's statue replacing the stamp , which is an hint that you actually needs to unlock it in the Atelier gallery room, which will reveal an alternate note spelling BLACK backwards in old Erajan.
What is old Erajan you're going to ask me? Well, let me tell you about the hidden third Tomb statue order...
all true
I just found this note. Funny.
why are you told about LUNE but i dont remember it being used?
LUNE means MOON in french
I got the office safe by seeing that the note said MARCH OF THE COUNT and thought Oh March like the month and just spammed all the dates it could be, never knew how to get the actual solution lmao
Simon is canonically smarter than I am for figuring all this shit out. Also he's rich now. Also it probably takes place over summer break
Now I'm imagining Simon's bored reactions when his classmates tell him stories about their summer vacation.
Why is Randolph backseating?
I have such a love hate relationship with this game. It has VERY HIGH HIGHS and ABYSMALLY LOW LOWS
From the beginning of the game, the 8 Inner Sanctum keys and sigils, and getting your mom's manuscripts felt incredible and rewarding to solve without a guide. A couple head-scratchers but nothing too crazy. But holy shit the later puzzles just feel obtuse for the sake of it. Genuine ARG schizo shit.
I mean, the blue notes really help, but it's such a pain to get them all that it circles back to being horrendous game design
The post-throne mysteries are fucked. They both use a holly door. One is insanely easy to find and the other is extremely hidden. The easy one has the ending and the never end ending which makes complete sense to end the post-game on, and the other one will take you dozens of hours more to do and while it does give you a nice congratulations it also hints at many more things that never materialize. There's a weird timing issue to these two.
It never ends
Which is a lie
Except not really
*several days later*
Okay, now it never ends (lie)
imo the third item to ascend the Throne Room should have been in the Atelier Room 46. It would hint at the Estate owners lineage being for the return to the Orindia monarchy, explaining the Mary/Herbert teamup and then you get to the boxes where you chose your ending in a meta way, which is actually a pretty good ending to the story and your journey.
i'm in what's probably the final final endgame area and i'm autistically mapping it out but it's so annoying
Agreed yeah. Such a weird mess of a game.
No?
as a warning, the "reward" is incredibly dissapointing and won't advance your knowledge of the story nor unveil new puzzles
I have never seen this game before and these posts sound outright schizophrenic.
I have never once bothered much with puzzle game stuff but it does kinda sound interesting, as a normal pea brain would ot be worth buying? Would I even be capable of finishing this game?
Denoted in verse is just a reference to the music sheets clue and the poem that spells out SACRED in reference to the Sacred Hour.
I think getting to the credits isn't that hard even for a brainlet, and that's still a lot of content.
Everything after is a crapshoot.
To see the credit scene? Everyone can do it.
To reach the "true ending"? It's hard but doable, but you need to really involve yourself in the game, you can't just skim notes or forget things. Asks for rigorous note keeping or compulsive screenshoting.
For the last secrets that people are still going over? Most likely you won't be able to do it on your own, but there si a late game mechanic that helps a lot though it's tedious as fuck.
I would really not recommend this game if you don't usually play puzzle games. Go play outer wilds. It's better and more accessible. Then if you get hooked, come back to blue prince later.
It's not justed "Denoted in verse".
You have "Investor Needed", "Tended Rose Vines" and "Does it never end".
its just tonda asking for money
kike
I have over 2,000 screenshots.
Guys, is the I missing from the keyboard a clue or a mistake?
For that gigantic mansion? In this housing market?
Skipping a few classes or a year in school seems like a good investment to me
Explain this to me
A red dude snoops around and clearly at least understand that the estate is linked to Orinda
Blackbridge group as a traitor in it that knows about Mary, and by extension that Herbert is helping her
But somehow Herbet never gets reported or if he was the governement still let him be and doesn't confiscated his estate.
That feels like a huge plot hole.
The big twist is that Fenn Aries is actually a pretty chill place that doesn't mind this stuff and censoring the history books was just its edgy teenage years.
But somehow Herbert never gets reported or if he was the government still let him be and doesn't confiscated his estate.
Actually they outright say Mary's bullshit was swept under the rug by the government in one of the red letters.
Anyway the government never had any hard evidence against Herbert and arresting a high ranking noble and wealthy industrialist on *suspicion* of his involvement of the crimes of his relative isn't necessarily going to be in the best interest of the government. If they had proof he was involved that would be one thing, but it's easy to imagine a scenario where they decide it's less embarrassing to let him slide as long as Mary's in the wind and they've got nothing.
Ultimately it would depend on whether they're more worried about the nobles and business elites getting jumpy from the elimination of one of their own on a hunch, public perception of Herbert vs the government, and whether they think Herbert constitutes an actual threat to the government/is directly involved in terroristic activities or not.
Yes, totalitarian governments can go full "eliminate their entire family line and seize all their assets" with traitors, but they can also just fucking let corruption slide for the sake of stability.
yeah that makes sense, I also remember Mary saying Herbert removed the pump room from the draft pool so I guess they never really got any hard proof
thanks for the reply anon
What happens when a room is removed from the draft pool while someone is still in the room?
