I've had my meme qd-oled ultrawide for almost 3 years. I took precautions when I got it and that lasted about 3 days before I gave up. I use this monitor for everything and I leave the screen on all the time

I got IPS mini LED 144hz for MMOs as my secondary gaming screen. QD-OLED 240hz as my main. I think that's the only scenario in which it will cause the burn in scenario and i don't trust the technologies defenders who say otherwise. But the way to minimize the issue is to use a screensaver, in my case i use a pitch black. Black desktop background, auto hide task bar and no desktop icons. It's such a pain for a flawed technology, but the results in games is totally worth it.

It was a game changer in the sense that OLEDs looked unimpressive to me before it. Colors weren't anywhere near as good before that and i rightfully called it overhyped and stand by that early assessment. As for the longevity you describe good luck because it will all eventually add up. If you're not checking all of those 50% 60% 70% etc. color screens like grey or blue then you're not keeping a good enough eye on it. I hope you're smart enough to know that.

What do you mean gray blacks? because of the glossy coating? that is solved by being in a dark room. The matte coating puts a slight hit on the color vibrancy anyway. I'm not that anon so I'm speaking about my experience.
