Switch 2 also has 12GB of RAM and DLSS. Series only has 8GB of usable RAM. It has a better GPU, but the Series S has too many bottlenecks. 8GB RAM kills it.

8gb ram is fine. it's the same as a 4060 which is the most used GPU by pc gamers globally today according to the steam hardware survey. the issues it has is related to bandwidth more than anything else. bandwidth is required for ray tracing, foliage, effects and stuff. memory isn't an issue.

I'm going to assume that was a typo. Full size electronics ALWAYS perform better due to heat dispersion. It allows more power draw and higher performance because of that. Small form, smaller fans (sometimes none at all), heat generated doesn't get dispersed, etc. So mobile devices have to use restricted hardware to prevent damage to the components caused by overheating. Basic thermodynamics.

I thought the audio chip in the XS/PS5 was for spatial audio and raytracing.
And the point is that not all of the remaining memory on the S is used purely for graphics like the VRAM on a PC GPU would be.
Generally speaking, the Series S seems to cap out at maybe 6 GB of memory used exclusively for graphical elements, so the comparison to a 4060 isn't accurate (from a memory standpoint, in terms of actual power the 4060 takes a giant steamy shit on the S, as it should, since it's like $350 alone despite being shit), it's more like an RX 6500 XT or a GTX 1650S with 6 GB of VRAM.
