How come this mofo survived the Ground Zeroes bombing/helicopter crash unscaved?
How come this mofo survived the Ground Zeroes bombing/helicopter crash unscaved?
Lucky
The same reason Kojima had a random medic survive it and be completely transformed into another individual entirely while retconning not only MG1, but also MGS1 by making Miller a fucking traitorous cunt and having Otacon's dad present in past games doing random shenanigans and also being a random ass cunt.
Kojima lost the plot after MGS3, it wasn't that bad in MGS4, but the PSP games and MGSV are a travesty of decision making and writing somehow even more so than just writing everything off as Nanomachines.
Chico took the brunt of the impact for him
nanomachines, son
shielded by paz's uterine walls
kino
unscaved
unscathed
lol
Yes, how did he survive the heli crash unscaved... EYES ON KAZUHIRA.
everybody is a spy?
Is that the twist?
Ocelot wasn't a spy, Miller was at least during the events of Peace Walker
Ocelot wasn't a spy
Doesn't he work for the soviets?
Or does he only pretend
He works for the CIA pretending to be soviet, did you not play mgs3?
Big Boss, Ocelot, and Miller are all spies in FOXHOUND spying on Zero and the rest of the Patriots.
did you not play mgs3?
Dude it's been like 20 years.
And I never finished V.
MGS4 has by far the worst writing on the series, that's not to say the psp games and V aren't bad writing either, but from the start he didn't want to make 4 and it shows
NTA but I disagree, MGS4 has at least a self contained narrative that actually pushes the series towards its ultimate conclusion without causing too many issues in terms of continuity. MPO has issues with Gray Fox and Foxhound/San Frontières, MPW has issues with Zeke and Mother Base, and MGSV, lets not even get into that when it comes to Big Boss, the existence of Venom Snake, Ocelot/Miller running around still, Otacon's dad being as prevalent in PW/MGSV as he is, the entirety of the language virus nonsense, Sahelanthropus, Liquid and Mantis running around for some reason, and fucking Skullface in his entirety actually being the best super secret covert operative in the world, etc.
MGSV is a goddamn trainwreck. MPO and MPW are largely fine and self contained like MGS4, barring Zeke's existence. But MGSV is such a fucking mess.
Ocelot is 1000% loyal to Big Boss no matter what, while during Peace Walker Miller was working for Zero all along
He likely still is considering he still has a job at FOXHOUND after Big Boss is ousted and Liquid personally kills him in particular rather than recruiting him like he does with Ocelot.
He works for Cipher. Dead serious.
XOF uses the same helicopters Diamond Dogs uses in TPP. In OKB Zero XOF holds Diamond Dogs inventory.
It's implied he was sandnigger's sexslave
any proofs?
read Edward Lawrence
Fair enough, but how the hell does working for Cipher make one bomb proof?
Everyone in the higher echelons (BB, zero, Miller, ocelot) was in on it. The attack at the first mother base was a false flag attack by Zero to "kill" what was seen as the only hope against the patriots AI/skull face faction, as well as to create a BB copy who would distract AI/skull face. After learning the truth, Venom decides to betray Zero/BB and go for the original goal of Outer Haven. The cassette that you find near the end is Miller and ocelot discussing how BB went against the plan and still chased his interpretation of the Boss's dream instead of sticking to the plan of restoring order in the patriots, using Venom as cover so that he can set up Zanzibar in secret. Miller is shocked at the betrayal and decides to follow venom (while really being with zero as shown in MG1) while Ocelot states he is on BB's side.
That is the convoluted story of MG. Basically 4 separate plans going on at the same time
Remember when PW ended and MSF was turned into Outer Heaven and it was supposed to be a direct lead in into MG1, whereas Miller was beginning to set up everything to take him down for the Patriots, hence training Solid Snake and still being on their side by MG1?
I remember, instead we got some of the most retarded shenanigans in the series in an open world game where 99% of the world is completely empty and the few good areas it does have are pretty much mission tied in a system that deserved to stay in the PSP games because of how limited they were.
MGSV is a fucking goddamn shitshow and its a shame that it's actual core gameplay is otherwise good.
The truth tapes say Skull Face went behind Zero's back with the MB attack.
the most retarded
I'd say that's PO, by making Outer Heaven be basically Gene's idea.
As the other anon said Ocelot had a unbreakable mancrush on Big Boss and never even thought of betraying him
They're both equally retarded. PW is fine in theory, barring ZEKE, should have been like a middle ground between Shagohod and D.
Okay, so that means that Outer haven was a Patriots front that skull face was trying to destroy to remove the last bit of power from zero.
I think Kojima wanted to make MGS 5 to be a final twist that everyone in some way was in on it (man who sold the world) but it very much muddies the waters. Making a story in which good/bad is greed is fine, but making it so that basically everyone was a good guy except for one guy who died in one game is not so good. Even the Patriots AI can be seen as "good" as they are just acting on their program made by cipher who is also "good".
The message at the end shows that ocelot never betrayed big boss himself, only venom. Miller betrayed Big boss and works for the Patriots
yes, as i said he never even thought about it.
Tell it brotha.
I don't mind what he was intending to do in spots, but there's just too much there that doesn't make sense when its a game in the middle of the series. It'd at least make more sense if it was literally MGS5 and set after MGS4 and there was some clones of Solid Snake or something instead. Honestly it'd make more sense in the longrun, you'd have a new younger Snake again, could have Skullface be the Patriots last resort that is betraying their ideals for his own goals, there's no Ocelot around, but this younger/clone or Venom Snake takes more after Big Boss than he does Solid Snake. The technology would make just as much sense, you could include more varied things like Cyborgs and Nanomachines to better make sense of things, and you could get into old Patriots stuff with Big Boss, Outer Heaven, LET, etc. The only real difference is there is no twist when it comes to Big Boss/Venom since Solid would be old and pretty much near death at that point, you can write off Raiden too as just having it taking place during Rising.
True. Those technology inconsistencies bother me to no end. Not to mention the Drones in PW and V being more advanced than the ones on SoL. In my mind TX-55 should always have stayed being the first Metal Gear.
Lost a leg and an arm
Unscathed
Inb4 he lost those after. No he didn't.
I think ZEKE is fine from a standpoint of, Big Boss loses a lot of funding to recreate a Metal Gear of that caliber thanks to the events of MGSV, but that's not the case. The dude runs two entirely separate countries basically with Outer Heaven and Zanzibar Land (at least prior to the whole OH/Venom retcon, which is beyond fucking retarded).
Sahelanthropus however is a fucking travesty of technological inconsistency entirely, it makes REX, ZEKE, RAY, etc. all look like toys. It's like if REX was re-designed 20-30 years later without a Radome. Like at least ZEKE still has some jank designs to it.
Remember when Miller had his arm/leg in MGS1 art?
Yeah, Sahe should've looked like the link between ZEKE and TX-55, obviously bulky and monstrous, which would've made sense to be animated with Psycho Mantis a bit more too.
What the hell are you talking about? He was active up to the day the Skulls got their hands on him. Not only we see him immediately after the incident (don't you die on me damnit), but we're repeatedly told that we was still taking jobs as a Diamond Dog, pretty hard to fight with half your limbs being gone.
At least with the TX-55 and D, they weren't finished, at least TX-55 wasn't. I forget if D was or not. It can at least also hold more nukes than even REX could, if I recall correctly it and ZEKE can only hold one nuke before it needs to be reloaded and TX could hold 2. I believe D could hold 8 if my memory of the design is right.
Another massive problem with something like Sahelanthropus is that it doesn't even have a cockpit, even Shagohod had a cockpit. The logic of having it powered by GW eventually as an AI system makes sense, but that never comes up again with REX, and only works with RAY which aren't even nuclear capable by any means. Not only that, the AI didn't even work with Sahelanthropus, but somehow it was programmed to allow an esper to control it? Makes no damn sense.
ZEKE I at least understand, it's basically like taking the chassis from it, along with the bulk of TX-55/D, along with sheer offensive capabilities in terms of durability and overall firepower (barring nuclear yield) and combining them.
