This movie is on Netflix. Is it fun to watch for baldurs gate fans?

BG3 fans is a wide metric. For Baldur's Gate and DnD portions of the BG3 fanbase, it gets some 5e rules wrong so there is less value there. But for newfags coming into BG3 and BG3 being a modified version of 5e (geared towards newfags), I don't think that portion of the base will nitpick the errors so much.

If you love BG3, then you will LOVE this movie

It's alright.
I don't really care for the D&D TTRPGs that much. Overall the movie is competent, if a bit Marvel quippy, but that kind of fits the feel it's going for as being like how a played campaign might go. There's some fun gags tied to that (like the Paladin being a transparent DMPC and the druid autistically beating her head against a problem to make a plan work). Overall, I'd say I'm pretty lukewarm on the movie itself but I think the ending where he uses the tablet is very sweet and well-done.

Saw this in theaters with my brother. It was a pretty memorable experience, though there was this fat woman with a lot of food and her blankey cuddling up for her weekly movie or something. That had more of an impact on me since I started working out the day after, I didn’t want to become like that.

It's fun for an afternoon. A couple of the jokes are legitimately funny, most are marvel-tier. For what it could've easily been, it's pretty good.

I don't think there's as much overlap there as the studio would've hoped for. Not unless BG3's success caused the casting director to reconsider all their bad decisions, with its cast of traditionally attractive Europeans (and Karlach, Gortash, and Wyll). Nobody would've been falling all over themselves to romance Gale or Astarion is they looked like Chris Pine and Justice Smith. Shadowheart wouldn't have been a smash hit if she looked like Michelle Rodriguez. LOL

It's very solid, I was expecting a shitty quipfest from the initial trailer but it ended up being a really solid fantasy romp/heist movie. Just a really solid popcorn flick. There's a lot of practical effects, the cast has good chemistry, and the humor isn't annoying.

I liked the bit with using the portal staff for the heist. That was a clever and fun scene, it really captured the moments I remember of DnD where a plan really comes together.
