Because the "politics" in those games are the ethics and moral dilemmas of modern governments and society that makes the player think while the politics we don't like in games is progressives patting each other on the back and demanding the player agrees with them unthinkingly.

When people say they don't like politics in gaming what they really mean is they don't like politics written by retards.
Or sometimes when people say they don't like "politics in games" its not actually about actual political commentary in the narrative of the game but moreso aspects of the game that are used to push an agenda outside the game. This closer to "activism in games" rather than "politics in games".
i.e. politically charged historical revisionism. When this is done its not to support some message the game is trying to portray with its narrative, its to make people think about certain events or time periods which in turn affects their views on the present.
A lot of post itt seem to think the difference is about how specific or contemporary the political themes are but I disagree. MGSV narratively has some pretty specific and pointed commentary on US actions in the "war on terror" but its actually good because Kojima is a better writer than American consulting firm #57362826.
