You prefer that it’s not necessary? Fine, but at least add a flag in the menu for people with disabilities like me, so we can enable it. How much does an extra accessibility option cost?
I Am Begging Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 To Patch In A Mini Map
How about you learn basic spatial orientation skill retard ?
literally git gut, filtered by a minimap in a pretty linear game
Furthermore, they should fix the battle UI, particularly the turn timeline, and make it more similar to that of FFX. (In addition to making character rotation possible.)
no fuck off you retard
I don't think retardation is generally considered an accessibility issue
Lmao, the maps in exp33 are literally only one-tenth as deep as those in FF.
imagine shilling a turd game from a chinese funded 120 million company and they cant be fucking assed to put in basic qol
lol. cant imagine shilling a turd shit company like that
FF
deep
it'll be on switch 2 soon no need to keep seething
The Grasslands alone are larger than the entire map of E33.
Why would they have a minimap of a place they've never been?
No. Git gud.
Develop some spatial awareness, you're expeditioning after all.
how come people didn't notice that the main routes to proceed are all subtly illuminated with lamps and shit (stuff left by older expeditions). Do you people need fucking yellow paint and the Crazy Taxi arrow 24/7 in your daily life?
big empty field
wow
no map or or onscreen objective that tells you where to go
Zoomers lose their minds
Haha
Are they talking about saving any time you want?
Being stupid isn't a disability bro.
Low IQ is not a disability.
the devs going out of their way to say they aren't putting in a minimap because their game isn't that complex and you're just lazy is what got me excited for this game in the first place before it came out
"There won't be mini maps in the levels," said Meurisse. "When there's a mini map, you can end up relying on it. And we want players to discover the world as the expedition does it. They don't have a map because every previous expedition failed. So yes, sometimes it can be difficult to find their way."
no manual saves
That I agree with, though. I'd love to have some saves for specific bosses.
this guy is a fucking retard
Funny, I saw a lot of calls for a minimap from japanese players too.
This game need an italian dub. That is all
I might just wait for some patching
theres the typical digital foundry stuttering nonsense thats not necessary
the lipsync needs more work
and whatever else they couldnt fit but now have money to implement
this pic just convinced me to get this game
Bad game design is a feature
Its really annoying since a lot of areas all look the fucking same
They don't have a map because every previous expedition failed. So yes, sometimes it can be difficult to find their way.
Maybe they failed because they didn't chart out where the fuck they were going?
Assassin Creed Shadow is a better game
No markers and quest journals
Theres less than 10 sidequests in the entire game, most of them either get done on the same place and a few that tells you to go somewhere else (which is like 30 seconds away on the overworld)
How can your attention span be this fucking low that you actually forget this shit.
Maybe they failed because they didn't chart out where the fuck they were going?
the main path is literally scattered with lights to guide you
Just got git by a reverse men in black flash pen, i completely forgot this piece of shit even exists.
is in act 3
still complains about a lack of overworld fast travel
What? You're super fast, flying in the sky.
It would make sense to find maps left behind by previous expeditions. Not a minimap and they wouldn't have every secret area or vendor/quest icons and all that stuff, but it would help idiots like me while adding flavour as you read stuff like map notes.
Can we at least get custom icons on the world map map? I'd be nice to check off locations I've already been to or need to explore further.
Honestly I think the best solution would be to have lune creating maps of areas as you explore them, maybe you have to rest at night or something for her to complete them, but like you're an expedition.. why the fuck wouldnt you create maps? it just doesnt make any sense
I don't need a map for the main path, you retard. I need a map to help keep track of all the optional shit liter throughout the entire fucking map.
Remember that really strong enemy you avoided because you weren't at the right level
You don't? Well neither do I.
Now have fun finding all the shit you missed.
Not being able to keep track of locations in a game where you play as explorers is fucking retarded. Like make me make my own map then.
Just use steam notes bro
nooooo i cant play the game its not telling me where to go!
skyrim markers ruined a generation of gaymers
Like make me make my own map then.
you're posting on a computer, just make one if you want one. or just always go right and get some spatial awareness like a man is supposed to have
get to Lune, she starts mapping off what you've been to
find maps left behind from previous expeditions
get Sciel, she marks off areas she was at before reaching the Gestral Village, including secret areas a new player might have missed
get Verso, same thing
Lune, Sciel, and Verso's contributions would be based on what they're interested in and what information Verso wants to share with the party as the story progresses
I hate games designed around mini-maps or markers as I end up staring at them rather than the actual game.
Is your disability being retarded?
Kill yourself. Mini maps just make you focus on that like Witcher 3. They're worse than yellow paint.
its crazy how much the narrative and characters lend themself to this idea... why the fuck isnt this in the game??!?!?
Why does everyone make this stupid face in the game, is it a french thing?
we dont need minimaps, what we should get is this
why the fuck isnt this in the game
because they don't want you to follow the arrow like a toddler following his mother at the store, they want you to explore in a game named expedition.
seethe all you like but they've clearly been rewarded for not making a game for 8 year olds
im not talking about a follow the arrow type map you literal fucking mouthbreather. im talking about real life type maps. you know.. where people map out geography and paths so that they know where they are going? i dont expect or want the game to tell me where i am with a fucking arrow, i just want some basic cartography in an expedition game.
they want you to explore in a game named expedition.
Charting a map is part of exploring
How long do I need to fucking wait until I get a mod that just removes the cape from Maelle's default outfit? People have nude mods out for her on patreon, and people on Nexus are removing Lune's cape so I know it's simple. I would pay someone if I had someone to pay
By the same logic, we should've been able to climb that mountain ourselves instead of relying on handholds and whiprings left behind from previous expeditions.
A FF13 player would be completely lost in 33, that's how linear that shit was.
Like make me make my own map then.
What's stopping you? Pick up a pen.
open world map
areas you've been to before are named, areas you havent been to just have an icon
wow where do i go guys very hard
Stellar Blade Director Kim Hyung Tae has completed Expedition 33 and says it is his Game of the Year!
You clearly never reach Gran Pulse in ff13, that's the biggest problem with that game... the first 20 hours are literally a tutorial
I'm in favour of optional maps/other navigation helpers, as long as they're off by default. (If they're on by default then inevitably the game gets designed around them.)
But... sincere questions, not trying to be an asshole:
What's your disability? Do you have difficulty finding your way around new places in real life?
OR, I could play a game where every hour is fun. What low standards.
Hmm u noticed it too. Has to be.
Is there a mod that removes the 2 tag-alongs while traversing?
the french are oversensitive pseuds
this is why french movies and games suck so hard
retard gets lost in hallways with minimal branching paths
Mini maps ruin immersion and especially so in linear JRPGs, If a game needs a map, the map should be in a separate menu. As if your character is stopping and looking at the map.
They are very smart in leaving it out and I'm glad more devs are catching on.
It would be smart if the game didn't have the most retarded invisible walls
We need the mini-map just to know where all the retarded invisible walls are
trying to solve his problems
these guys have friends
cannot think of solutions
causes problems for others
this retard does not
spoiler
Figured this out immediately. Modern gamers are just retarded.
Pretty much. Good design talks to you subconsciously. 1-1 from SMB always gets touted as a great example of how it teaches you mechanics of the game.
Modern gamers are used to having everything indicated in a list of map, they became accustomed to it. and the same shit happens to those who use AI as a crutch. They'll be screwed sooner or later
