Any Zelda

every Japanese game Anon Babble likes

Spongebob.

Skyrim

Crosscode.

Horse shit game made for fags and redditors. Dude lets make a single player MMO but still follow terrible MMO quest design. Also classes exist but not for you faggot. Buncha vapid empty husks for characters and an excessive amount of puzzles. It had some good music and combat but everything else makes the game such a fuckin slog.

Just didn't really get the appeal of warcraft 3, it felt like it was making me do the same chores every single mission and got old really quickly.

OoT is crazy overrated

Any 8/16 bit-like game that are mostly platformers or rpgs. What a drag. Such games shouldn't be made in 2025.

Horzion: Zero Dawn

what kind of subhuman animal gets a game because it's what everyone else likes? Look at a fucking gameplay video and decide if that's something you wanna do.

Bioshock

Pikmin sucks major ass. Kidding. I didn't like Fire Emblem, though. And I've definitely tried a few times.

Really? What didn't you like about bioshock?

Demon's Souls and Dark Souls
I gave them the benefit of the doubt when I trusted them the second time but it turned out to be another shit game.

Same, felt like some boring game of thrones knockoff instead of slavic monster hunter.

Penny Arcade and a lot of people made Zombie's Revenge seem cool

Stiff and bad combat made even worse depending on which character you play

Flat out just inferior and less fun than Die Hard Arcade, which came out several years earlier.

Original mode is single player only for some absolutely retarded reason

meme created by Jennifer at Buzzfeed

tried to like it, but it's so extremely boring

Morrowind
CyberPunk 2077
Overwatch
Zelda shit

Everything but the setting and the art. The epitome of the worst of modern game design. It is rise of game design being about "curating experiences"; the gameplay and the story. This game make Zelda titles look like La-Mulana.

Botw
Kenshi
Skyrim
Any Hollywood aping Playstation exclusive
Stardew Valley
Terarria
Minecraft
any survival game that revolves around obnoxious eating and drinking mechanics and logging out makes your corpse and base vulnerable
counter-strike and its clones
Mobas
Any Diablo clone with shit kill feedback
Any game where the fun comes from interacting with friends rather then the game, like Repo, lethal company, or Fagmaphobia
Sea of thieves
Dead by Daylight

scen_writer.png - 1920x1080, 1.24M

Dark souls just isn't interesting.

any yakuza game

The epitome of the worst of modern game design.

Vita chambers. Small weapon limits. RPG elements. I feel you.

It is rise of game design being about "curating experiences"; the gameplay and the story.

Yeah it's a movie game, the opening sequence makes that pretty clear, style over substance but I thought that the gunplay while mediocre was still serviceable.

Minecraft
Undertale
Persona
Xenoblade
Five Nights at Freddy’s

ex33. prologue was too boring
stardew valley. mechanics are too tedious

The second I got to Novigrad after finishing Velen. I had no desire to continue the story anymore. I hate the drama/political shit in the game which just involves killing guards n shit.

Baldur's Gate 3, I am going to try again when the update comes out but goddamn, I didn't liked my first attempt.

I can get why people don’t like morrowind but I really think it’s one of those games that you had to experience when it released. it seemed a lot more advanced and good looking back then. I really liked fallout 3 when it came out but then I played new vegas and it fixed a lot of problems I didn’t even notice like ADS and the subway system

Hollow Knight. I genuinely don't understand the appeal. It's like zoomers just discovered this amazing new genre called "Metroidvania" and attribute that to being a good game since it was the first one in their minds.

Yeah I sort of just tuned out and went on autopilot with the main story. Something something kings war assassination blah blah. Where's all the weird ass cool monsters I need to research to bring down? Why do I have batman vision?

people will really give paper mario ttyd a 6/10 for backtracking and glaze a game like hollow knight

Xenoblade 2

Baldur's Gate 3

I'm curious about this game. Why is it so popular? Is it just riding the popularity of DnD?

I got it for free and played for 10 minutes before I uninstalled

Expedition 33.

elden ring

The first area is a bit of a drag and the main choices between the grove and the goblins are kinda lame.
It picks up considerably when you go to the Underdark and/or the gith creche temple.
imho that first part at the crashed ship and the surroundings should've been much shorter.

Baulders gate 3

I really just don't like turn based games at all. I got past the first map to the mountains and was jumped by some dudes i couldn't avoid or run away from and was locked into combat that wouldn't end ans would .ost likely die from and my last save was a half hour ago.
I just had it at that point and stopped playing.

It went from easy to insane hard in act 3. The game expects you to read the developers minds and communicate nothing to you. It's such a shit game and everyone acts like it's this massive win. I just don't get the appeal.

Any game before 6th gen consoles

But what if this one will get me into this genre that ive always not liked. I want to like more genres.

any silent hill
any yakuza
any zelda
the witcher 3
any monster hunter

New Vegas

Oblivion

Witcher 3

Deus Ex: HR + MD

Prey

Dark Souls 2

MGS 2

All of these games are fucking dogshit.

sorry man. we have at least another decade of bad hitboxes, input reading, and variable attack delays for that meme difficulty

Kenshi

Why didn't you like it?

I didn't get the overhype besides the coomer shit which wasn't above the average Bioware coomerbait storyline. The pacing was awful and the enemies don't do anything besides take it like a traffic cone while you dance around like a retard for the nth time.

Yeah it's a movie game,

Hey you can't skip this scene! You have to control the camera.

the opening sequence makes that pretty clear,

Why have the guy talk to himself if you are going to make him into a Half-Life style silent protagonist.

style over substance but I thought that the gunplay while mediocre was still serviceable.

The game won't even let me horde cash. I can't even pick out what I want from the drawers. What is the point of exploration if the limit is so low, everything is so plentiful, and enemies respawn?

I never gave Bethesda Prey a chance because of Bethesdrones and Immersive sim fags.

Mechanically it's similar enough to stuff like the other BG and NWN

Every single one I hate them all popular is shit

Skyrim
WoW

>MGS 2

i love the metal gear franchise but this was the worse one for me

Why?

whoa nelly you gotta play this game it's fucking hooooooooooooot best hentai game of the year all years furk year

beat the game without seeing any lewds

oh you have to lose on purpose to see the hentai anon

No. Fuck you.

I played 30hrs and then dropped it.

Not quite this, but Helldivers 2.
Main problem was how unlike the first Helldivers it was. From atmosphere, art design, and little things like how your diver actually got out of his hellpod (lifted out by hydraulics instead of crawling out of it from the ground) all left a bad taste in my mouth. Haven't touched it since but I'll still play the first one every so often.

What is the point of exploration

Listening to audio logs. It's a podcast movie game.

Persona 5 I suppose. After I finished up the arc with the pedo coach I just flamed out. I was already kinda losing interest half way through and once it finished I just did not care where the story or any of these characters were going. The whole dark world extra hour thing is the only part I found interesting. The characters were dull and I gave zero fucks how things in their life were panning out and once that first story wrapped up. I just couldn't slog through it until the next story started. It's just so fucking boring. And I play solo board games and Factorio and shit and I was still bored.

The game won't even let me horde cash. I can't even pick out what I want from the drawers. What is the point of exploration if the limit is so low, everything is so plentiful, and enemies respawn?

Especially egregious because it was claiming to be an immersive sim.

dragon age origins, the gameplay sucks

Steins;Gate

Twitter pajeet screencap thread

I've tried witcher 2, 3, and cyberpunk. Will never touch another cdprojectred game ever again.

Just janky, poor quality graphics that look ripped from 2005, and the fact early game is super punishing unless you do the same handful of cheese exploits. Tried to level anything combat related just starts with getting your ass kicked to death since enemies roaming are too strong to deal with 1v1. Just don't like how the whole package is presented

how bout this?

subversive.png - 1080x1035, 841.89K

its all just empty plains and nothing around

Doom Eternal

Small weapon limits

He wasn't talking about Infinite, though?

TLOU1. I honestly didn't get why it's so popular. The gameplay was subpar.

Basically any game praised for it's story/writing.

Witcher 3
Last of us
Bioshock
Baldur's Gate 3

From uninteresting to outright grating.

The only people who have ever liked it have been moviegame fags, they all think its some universally liked game but its the biggest giveaway of dogshit taste and anyone who brings it up to defend them not liking movie games accidentally incriminates themselves.
There is a bunch of games like this that no one calls people out on because we use it as a silent filter

people loved the story...that was interrupted by crouch walking, strangling people, and collecting gears every 5 minutes

skyrim, doom 2016 and eternal, CSGO, dead by daylight, WoW, TLoU and hollow knight

Final Fantasy Tactics

Have you considered that maybe you don't like story-focused games in general?

Based
Do you paint maps?

Nier automata

I honestly don't get it. I like Nier just fine but automata was just kind of boring and uninteresting

At the time it was pretty impressive. But playing that shit as an adult in 2010s.. nah it's just meh.

Nobody likes Horizon Zero Dawn

how did you fuckimg know

GTA V and RDR2

oh yeah, bioshock let you carry all the weapons, i thought it was one of those 2 weapon maximum games that got popular during that era. didn't play inifinite because the hook wasn't interesting. After ancap city undah the sea they did city in the sky but racism and disney waifu. pass

It's apparently incredibly popular. It has sequels? I bought it knowing nothing about it because it was being so hyped up. Found it to be boring, way too easy, the story and voice acting to be cringe. Dropped it.

Earthbound sucks.

Final Fantasy 6
Most boring game of all time

Outer Wilds was way better than I expected.

The project moon games

Stop replying to yourself.

The entire Metal Gear Solid series.
It just takes itself so seriously when Kojima obviously only has a surface level understand of whatever topic he hamfisted into the game because he just learned about it and needed to let everyone know he did.

oh you have to lose on purpose to see the hentai anon

This design in porn games always bothers me. Like people play them specific to see porn, why they show it only when you play badly? Second thing that bothers me is how unusual in those action porn games you play as woman getting fuck by various men when really for me it should be man getting to fuck various women.

Nta but I agree with him. Bioshock and tlou are two of the most disappointing games I've ever played. Last of us story is just another zombie post-apocalypse story that was already cliche by the time it came out. Bioshock was just pseud shit. Story games by western developers are always shit because it's always 2deep4u shit

i swear it wasn't a RTH
i got actually spooked by that how the fuck did he know

thumbnail.png - 1080x1080, 50.24K

It's all marketing hype and promotion, Sony thinks it's their new Crash Bandicoot lmao

Single Player MMO with a predefined character when MMOs are basically shitty life sims is bewildering to me. All the weirder is that a game that supposedly took a lot of inspiration from Crosscode called Secrets of Grindea is actually surprisingly good despite that. Maybe download the demo for that one and see if that tickles your fun bone.

every co-op shooter since left 4 dead and Killing Floor have been absolute slop.

Does Infinite count? Everyone shits on it now but it was trendy as fuck when I hated it.

Stardew Valley really weirded me out in that I'm still in mild disbelief that so many people are into that.

Farm progression is all about hollow soulless MONEY, you don't feel like some trad living off the land mtoherfucker at all

The Harvest Moon esque "buy my friendship with more tomatoes" shit that makes every villager feel dead inside and like I'm not connecting with them at all and like I will never matter to them as a person

Just the general a lack of adversity and risk makes it feel as numb as working an office job IRL

GTA 4
More relationship simultor (I AM LONELY AND NOW IT'S AS IF I HAVE FRIENDS AND A GIRLFRIEND), more mini games that doesn't fit in an openworld (holy shit HOW FUN can it be to be in a cybercafe in a video game hahahaha!), longer cutscenes only for a mission that will have next to nothing to do with what they were talking about, very basic missions, heavily scripted. At least, the driving and the shooting were better.

Bit hard to tell if they're story focused before playing. Except the likes of Metal Gear where people go on about how much cutscene time there is. Never played MG, though.

Shoulda been clear that HD2 was Helldivers only in name the second it transition to third person shooter slop instead of Magicka with guns. Helldivers 1 was its own thing, it wasn't just a top-down shooter. 2 is pure lowest common denominator pandering.

Nine Sols. 30 dollars is bullshit but with a 40% discount I begrudginly bought it because it's just about as good as a metroidvania can get.

Crash bandicoot but instead of cool an likeable we made him a caveman girl with a bad attitude who ties broken iphones all over her dress, is way uglier than her model and fights pic related. that will be 100 dollars + tip please.

Hollow Knight sucked dog poop

Monster hunter x
Dark souls x
SMT x
Witcher x
I'm sure I forget a lot

just based off steam reviews, cult of the lamb is probably the most overrated game I've ever played

I have to like whatever others like.

I have to consume whatever others consume.

I have to fit in.

Debtcattledom in a nutshell.

Any bethesda game except oblivion

This

Dragon Age Origins I just can't get into despite trying multiple times. I always lost interest around Redcliff. I have thought that maybe I just don't like isometric crpgs but I later I picked up Pillars of Eternity and I enjoyed it a lot. Still want to give DAO yet another chance.

Dark Souls isn't for everyone, and I'm not making a smug reference to muh difficulty when I say that. I love them but I can easily see how they don't do it for everybody.

I haven't played Pillars so I can't compare these but if you like the genre then yeah I would think DAO would be right straight up your alley. Strange.

It took me years to get into them bouncing off several times and after finishing them I have to say they are fine but nothing ground breaking and in fact really short. The difficulty disguises a lot.

Hollow knight and also this

Metal Gear games.
This.
This.
And this.

What's your favorite game?

These for me. I fucking hate Zelda and find it terribly boring. Witcher 3 is probably one of the single worst video games I ever experienced (aside from some specific side quests that were interesting), and Bald Gay 3... not even worth talking about. DOS2 was better and that's not a very high bar.

I don't know. I enjoy games with very different genres.

unicorn overlord

I saw it got some great ratings. I regret buying it. Maybe I'm some ADHD zoomer fag, I don't know. It was just the most uninteresting and soul crushingly boring gameplay I have ever seen in a game. But then again I didn't like tactics games much in general. It's a shame, because I absolutely loved the other 2 games I played, which was Muramasa Rebirth and Dragon's Crown, both of which I bought for the Vita.

Clair Obscur. I actually did enjoy it somewhat, but it's MASSIVELY overrated right now. Also the story/worldbuilding is by far the worst aspect, which makes it concerning that so many people apparently got really invested in it.
