It's not the fact they lost Mick Gordon the reason why the music sucks as D16 and Eternal wubstep bullshit was gay as fuck but admittedly Mick Gordon mixing and mastering was outstanding.
No, the problem is that Id software hired, at Microsoft and Bethesda request, some fucking studio who only composes stock music for mediocre games. Finishing Move does not have a single damn OST worth a damn to their name and DA is still their best work because it at least sounds like something.
Besthesda's immense kikery is dragging Id Software down to the point I would not be surprised if they give the SLAYAR a matching skin supporting Ukraine or Trans Rights or whatever corporate bullshit the suits want next.
As for Mick Gordon, he was worked in like 3 other games after Eternal and nobody gives a fuck about him because he was never that good not to mention that his supposed fanbase find Atomic Heart problematic as it means supporting hecking Russia.
Simply put Id Software had to hire a bland studio that specializes in punctuality, and that alone because they did not want another situation in which they could hire someone with actual talent but it meant delaying the game and the crapstastic scalper's editions.
