GTA V has zero memorable missions. Seriously, try to name one without looking it up.
GTA V has zero memorable missions. Seriously, try to name one without looking it up
There was that mission where you had to kill that guy and do that thing
that one heist mission
also the starting mission in minasota or whatever was very fargo-esque
ummm, and some others, too
that mission always stuck with me
because it is so fucking bad
Davey!
I like the mission where you end up in the morgue and it teaches u how to use michaels special ability while you try and find ur clothes and guns
Bet you everyone remebers the story though
i couldn't name a mission from any gta game
Damn, zoomer memory really can be measured in minutes, huh?
hood safari. going to grove street with trevor and lamar and shooting up ballas? based.
they're like goldfish
in the time it takes to say "frfr" they've already mindwiped and began searching for new stimulus
The one where the lawyer chick gets turned into soup by a jet engine
oh I member that one
Trevor's first missions are really good. Shooting at coyotes and cars with the redneck is the one I remember the most. I like rednecks.
the ufo trippin monkey shit one
spending your tuesday afternoon on here
don't you have to go to work grandpa
the only cool thing i remember is the missions where you manipulate the stock market to make tons of money with franklin
I remembered the one where you kill Mark Zuckerberg because fuck that guy him and Steve Jobs ruined the internet
the one where trevor and michael fight and they end up in another fucking state
it's okay if I stand really still and avoid eye contact you'll lose interest in the conversation and go back to watching ur ticky-tocks and ur insty-grams, whippersnapper
actually did love bringing the lifeinvader hipster with me on all my heists because by the end of the game he's solidly levelled up and always takes a low take even if him messing up keeps things *interesting* during the gameplay
rly did not mind ricky at all, he came through in the end
Bullshit, all the government missions were really cool. The one where you scale the building. The one in The wilderness where you rob a train. Apart from those, the insider trading assassination was cool. Michael' hilucinations were cool too, the mission where mike and trevor slap around lazlow. Fuck off op.
JIMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
The one in The wilderness where you rob a train
thats read dead redemption
OP here, sorry I meant to say TES V
missions shown in the reveal don't count
name a memorable mission from the previous games
some of the missions were badass like the lighthouse one or the hood one
too bad enemies die in one hit
i wouldn't know, gta 4 was the game that proved rockstar games aren't worth your time, so i didn't play any after
i heard what happened with max payne 3, how sad
that mission where they pull the house off the mountain
only remember it because it's plagiarized from Lethal Weapon, though
Michael is getting cucked
destroys a mob boss' house in a fit of rage
does a jewelry store heist to pay off the boss
Trevor hears about this and comes back
also Franklin befriends Michael for no reason other than the plot demands it
government starts forcing them to do heists to fund another heist for government work or something
they steal a secret weapon off a ship for fun but then give it back because that would be too fun and rewarding
Trevor gets mad at Michael because he learns he sold them out years ago but then comes back and forgives him for no reason
they do one final heist which is the only one that is actually beneficial for the charafters
also there's an asshole businessman who wants them dead for some reason
Ending C just lets you easily and conveniently wipe out all of your enemies without any ramifications or sacrifice
Haven't played in over 10 years, how did I do?
Vice City - tits on skyscraper, minicopter, rescue lance, honestly half of all missions, same for San Andreas
that one where you sneak into a movie set and steal the james bond car
i always purposely drive off the docks so i could skip it
gta 4 had that mission where you would call someone on the phone to lure them into a snipers line of sight
Trevor plane mission
Michael introduction mission
Franklin Hollywood backlot "stealth" mission
Chop missions
Michael rescue mission where he starts shooting upside down
Lazlow humiliation mission
Heists
GTA V isn't that great compared to Vice City and San Andreas but it had plenty of memorable set pieces and missions. Those are all the ones I named off the top of my head
The first (?) heist where you rob a jeweler and escape through the sewers
That one mission where you infiltrate Facebook and booby trap Mark Zuckerberg's phone
That one heist where you ge to play as a Juggernaut from MW3 at the end
I think that's it honestly. Never was a huge fan anyways.
Minor Turbulence - I remember it because of the music. Where Trevor takes a plane and lands in the cargo bay of a bigger plane then jumps from it by parachute. Similar to Freefall from GTA SA (fuck that mission)
the story really does suck ass. even gta 3 has more going on than this
The meth house raid, the assault on grove street, the one where you rescue the fat fuck son.
shouldn't you be in school?
What story? Like seriously half the game their doing him the worst heists possible and I can't remember fuck all reason why they're doing them, lord knows it ain't money because the one thing I do remember is heists don't pay shit
i couldn't name a mission from any gta game
kek me neither, but I bet you remember the helicopter mission from Vice City
"All we had to do was follow the damn train CJ"
Entirely from San Andreas from start to finish
GTA4 Four Leaf Clover
gta iv is the most boring game ever made
game was so bad that saints row 2 almost destroyed rockstar of david
the one were mikael smokes something from a hippie protesting something, and you have to shoot waves of aliens lookalikes
I was really struggling to find the point of GTA V
like I dont like swapping between 3 characters, I'd want to focus on 1 character I actually liked and switching feels meaningless
Then the gameplay is usually pointing a static reticule at a person, left click and they die but you dont because you're superman.
The money was meaningless, and most of the missions seemed to be about doing something boring to get more money. So I get to experience boring to achieve nothing.
I suppose the individual character interactions were high quality, but it wasnt motivating me to play. So I dropped it after a dozen hours or so.
michael retires and starts living his new life
why does my family hate me?!
hey man, wanna get totally wasted all the time and start doing crime again even though that's why you faked your own death?
okay
then something about the FBI and one of them dies at the end
Game just gets weird once Trevor gets involved. Like the plot is pretty grounded and seems like a lot of the development went towards Michael + Franklin and they added Trevor as PC later. Even in the first trailers, Trevor isn't seen.
Franklin has no father figure, sees gang culture as beneath him and wants to actually make money. Michael is depressed and miserable over his family and realizes he can only do one thing. Always felt like that was the strongest parts.
It's Trevor that does this.
the first heist is cool, I like riding through the tunnels on bikes during the escape. But at the same time its kind of gay how that entire police chase is 100% scripted
a mission does not have to be memorable to be good. often, the missions with the best gameplay will also tend to be the missions that have the least amount of interesting context. after all, the more fun a mission is to play, the less context it needs surrounding it to make it interesting. i usually find that the best missions in GTA are the more traditional shooting missions, the ones where you go throughout an area and just shoot people, like the missions in GTA IV where you shoot your way up a hotel, or in a factory. not very "memorable" most of the time but they play the best.
The one where you rob the bank/store near the Beverly center and you get crew mates to assign to different roles. and then it never happens again in the game.
GTA V's map feels so soul-less and the fog that they added in the next gen update makes the whole game look so desaturated. Yuck.
the mission where you blow up a train
thats because it is soulless
It's ok when GTA does it.
You are lying everyone remember shitty missions like intersection of a jet on Dodo in SA.
Last good missions were in Vice City for porn studio + the last mission for taxi where rival taxi drivers decided to kill you by stagin a derby
youtu.be
There is more than one of these
The misson that you torture the saar and snipe a foreign
GTAV the stolen boat, the alien experience, the cheating healer where you fuck up his house.... There are a bunch actually.
I actually like the heist set up missions the best. I thought it was cool how your objective was just to steal something that was on the map. It made them feel more open than your traditional GTA mission. It would be cool if there was a GTA game with way more of those.
my two favorite parts of the game are early on when you're coming back from the very first franklin opening mission and lamar does the "niggaaaaa" bit and the employee of the month bit
they should have just scrapped michael, franklin, and trevor and literally made lamar the main character he is fucking hilarious
Missions peaked here
SAY GOODNIGHT MR DIAZ
The one where Michael falls from the sky
the one where you are chasing the yacht
the one where you are disguised as highway patrol troopers
The one where you chase Lazlow
That one at night in this warehouse with Lamar
The one where you explode a plane and jump out of it
The one where you chase a plane on a bike
The one where you chase some woman on the airport and she runs into a turbine
and the heists
That's what I remember
i only vaguely remember the one where you have to stealth into some dude's mansion in the hills. but seriously, that really is about it.
hood safari
GTA 3: Espresso 2 Go, the shittiest mission ever
Vice City: Blowing up the building site with the remote controlled helicopter, actually the shittiest mission ever for real
No, San Andeas, any Zero mission with the remote controlled planes, by far the shittiest missions ever.
Now that I think back I actually agree with you. I remember hating how after the first heist the game all of a sudden siderailed you into doing desert redneck shenanigans and the Michael/Franklin subplots got completely abandoned. Then it would briefly revisit them way later and I would just think "oh right that's a thing".
Trevor's actions and motivations made no fucking sense either, like how he basically declared Michael dead to him after learning his horrible secrets only to come back and rejoin him for absolutely no reason other than to have an epic finale. It was extremely lazy writing.
That one heist where you ge to play as a Juggernaut from MW3 at the end
This one should have been more fun had they not given you literal plot arnor. Heaven forbid the player gets a mission with a 5-star rampage that doesn't hold your fucking hand.
I don't remember a single GTA IV mission except Four Leaf Clover. I think you had to go bowling like 10 times with Roman at the beginning. Too bad Rockstar never fixed the PC port or else I'd replay it since it would be pretty much new to me at this point.
i really like the border patrol random encounter where you have to chase a band of mariachi
The mission recap cheevos thing is memorably shit.
Everyone who played it remembers this.
the one where you chase lazlow in the fucking semi truck might be the worst scripted bullshit chase in any of the gta's
Games that try to look as realistic as possible just aren't memorable in general. I'm serious, think about it.
A Titan Of A Job
I was going to ask whats wrong with it because I had no issues running it on my old as fuck PC back in 2015 but thats prob why it ran so well
haven't tried on modern hardware
I can atleast remember a few from V. Like the one where you crash into the car dealer, the drug deal on grove street, the boat chase, the first heist, the submarine and the forklift one (for better or worse). I can remember dialog from the first few trevor missions, the bank heist with the mini gun, the skyscraper heist, sneaking around michaels house as franklin. I cannot remember a single mission from IV except for the sniper one. I'll never understand the hate that V gets, it felt like a complete return to form after IV.
Hood Safari, too bad it was so short, I wanted to shoot more niggers.
The one where you shoot at the plane and then you followed it on a dirt bike while it crashed. Or the one where you destroy that house after Michael gets cucked.
GTA V had the best missions in the series. At least they tried to do something more creative than "go there and kill everybody"
op didnt specify story missions but the thing is the assassination missions are side missions. you don't have to do them to beat the story, and it's funny you're also proving op right, you only remembered the outcome of those. i only sorta recall the redwood cigarettes one. also you can trade stocks with all 3 characters not just franklin.
it's weird how much emphasis the story puts on the heists as being "the big one" when they only make the main characters sorta rich, if you hold the assassination missions until after the story you can get wet soggy fockin stinky rich by abusing those.
I legitimately don't. Meanwhile I remember the how Mass Effect Andromeda ended for some reason.
The one where you stop glowies from doing a terrorist attack.
The one where you shoot up a small town while wearing bomb disposal suits.
There's that one pretty memorable mission where the baldy MC spends a couple of missions preparing for this one awesome heist, i think it's the one with the little submarine or something? He then tries really hard to convince the other 2 MCs and they tag along, but then the heist was a failure, the target wasn't what he thought it was, you earn absolutely no cash from the mission, all the preparations from the other missions were for naught and the other 2 MCs just walks out silently
I remember it well 'cause that's where i dropped the game
only thing I remember from 4 is roman and little fucking jacob and not understanding a single word he was saying
felt like I played one segment of the game for 5 hours and had no idea what was going on cause that retarded nigga was yappin nonstop
Car hydraulics rhythm game
Three Leaf Clover
I remember being extremely annoyed at the mission where I had to jump into the Pacific and swim after a boat for waaay too fucking long
Meanwhile Chad Andreas
the mission where you and your homies escape from the police and crash into a billboard
the mission where big smoke sets u up
the mission where you steal a harvester and run over rednecks
the mission where you shot down a helicopter in a highway
the mission where you board a cargo plane and blow it up
the mission where you invade area 69
the mission where you go to liberty city
the mission where you rob a casino
the mission where you rob a militar jet
the mission where you start a riot in los santos
the mission where you take down a crack fortress and chase samuel l jack in a firetruck
and more
The Franklin-Lamar arc of missions is really good but it ends too early
The Michael family dynamic arc is also really good but also fizzles out too early
The Trevor arc is the weakest and sort of kills the other two arcs. I don't hate Trevor unlike some people with weird hangups but the game didn't need him as a playable character. Should have been an NPC.
agreed
he is overly goofy honestly and mainly where the game goes from "decent story missions" to fullblown saints row goofball tier
I want my jetpack back
I remember all the heists really well.
I remember the boat chase.
I remember the submarine collection thing.
I remember the jumbo jet fight and bail sequence.
I remember the weird dog that talks to you.
I remember the blimp.
I remember getting spiked with LSD by Michael's son.
All that said, prior entries were definitely more memorable. It's hard to top Lance Vance's Last Dance, Big Smoke's last stand, or the final showdown in GTA4, but it was a breath of fresh air to have a 100% nice ending for GTAV if you pick suicide mission. The other two are more in line with past endings where there's always some nasty consequence no matter what you pick, but I think it's fitting for California, being the land of happy endings in film and all.
I'm guessing the ending of VI is gonna be way nastier, Miami crime movies skew far more toward negative endings.
GTA 5 has been out so long I can't remember much from the game it was pretty bland. Like God war 2018 it was just so boring and forgettable.
Niko escaping in the diamond heist gone wrong, Playboy or Dwayne, Little Jacob first mission, robbing the bank. For San Andreas has too many to list but Catalina.
Im 32 and I beat the game back on ps3. Of course I dont remember shit from it. I hardly remember any missions from 3, Vice City, San Andreas, and 4 as well. The only things I really remember were the rc helicopter in VC and the rc plane in SA. Fuck those missions. I also remember doing stuff at the air strip like a barrel roll in SA. There's also rescuing Lance in VC that I remember and dressing up as a cop and golfer. I dont play these games anymore though.
no but who let unc cook
Friends Reunited
Burying the Hatchet
Franklin and Lamar
Minor Turbulence
Surveying the Score
Friend Request
The Third Way
The Paleto Score
The Big Score
Caida Libre
Reuniting the Family
you can bump into that guy with all 3 characters
mfw franklin doesn't get high and calls it trash
Was this the high point of the entire franchise?
The one where you have to save jimmy from the stolen boat, and Michael cares more about his boat than his kid that almost died.
Fuck you for reminding me now I'm mad.
Finally getting to kill Lance
Every mission in San Andreas
The golf mission from Ballad of Gay Tony
I can't remember anything else from IV, and I don't remember anything from V.
I'll always remember the ending of the Thieves Guild quest line. I maxed out my one-handed, allowing me to sometimes decapitate during a power move--of which I quickly forgot about. When I took on the head bad guy when that cistern was filling up, I was slashing and slashing and then a little cutscene happened and i lopped off his head. That was the first time the mechanic allowed me to do that and I assumed it was scripted
