i genuinely dont understand how some people can hate rebirth so passionately as to want to erase it, especially when its literally a direct sequel anyway. it has some tedious parts but honestly the game had so many fun bits too, it was the equavilent of a ff7 theme park.

I think it's fucking disgraceful how it shits all over the story, world and characters of the previous games. It uses their names and branding for cheap marketing power and then retcons their story, turning the characters into jokes or completely undoing where they ended up after 2/ToB.

It's especially bullshit because it's doing that to one of the most foundational CRPGs in existence, a series that it owes its very nature to.

Fuck BG3, it's a game that shouldn't exist.

I agree completely, honestly. Zack was fine in FF7.

The whole point of him was that for everything Cloud looked up to about him, he died like a dog and was completely forgotten since. He dated Aeris for like 2 weeks when they were 15 and the games since have somehow spun that into this huge amazing love story on par with Cloud and Tifa.

It's obnoxious that everything Zack has is taken from cutting off bits of Clouds story too.

The fact all the usual tumblr adjacent crowd latched onto it said more than enough.

You will never meet a Crisis Core fan who doesn't have autism or some other neurological defect or emotional issues. It's fascinating.
