Why was this game so shit even compared to pikmin 3
Why was this game so shit even compared to pikmin 3
pikmin 3 was good
haters will disagree
actually, Pikmin was never good
There, saved you 500 posts
2 and pikmin squared are the true best ways to pick men
It wasn't. 4 > 3 > 2 > 1
3 does multitasking best, admittedly.
I loved 3
1>4>3>2
3 was bad
Fuck you nigger it was great game
This, Pikmin is literally mobile game tier in terms of quality and depth. More people probably played the actual pikmin mobile game than ever played the console releases.
I played the demo it seemed fun and mind you I haven't played a Pikmin since 1 or 2 whichever was on The GameCube
The fucking dog and the type limit.
Why? They're very replayable.
it was trying to be pikmin 2 without really understanding why people like pikmin 2, but if it did what people like about pikmin 2 it would be seen as a dog shit game anyway because that would mean that its a broken unbalanced shitshow
Even Hey! Pikmin is better than 4
I liked all four. I don't get "rearrange the numbers" threads
The real Pikmin were the friends we made along the way.
all 4 pikmin games are good for different reasons
my biggest beef with 4 is there's no way to turn off the limiter that prevents you from going over the number of pikmin required to carry a certain item, and that the charge move trivializes most fights
Oatchi is the most overpowered thing ever seen in the series. Besides that, 4 is undoubtedly the easiest game in the series, even on a first playthrough. Even 'the hard parts' aren't that hard.
And despite that, I still believe we haven't had a bad game yet.
I have beaten Pikmin 4 8 times and I bought it again digitally so Switch 2 will fix the loading times.
Hating 2 is peak low IQ
Because it’s on the lowest end of that ranking doesn’t mean I hate it
I fucking hated the 3 type limit don't bring that shit back
Too easy
I still can't believe that people hate pikmin 3, probably just because it was short. It was the fucking best in the series. The 3 captain mechanic made it strategical and fun, flying pikmin are my favorite in the series and it was so satisfying seeing 10 little items flying over walls and water in a line.
The bosses were among the best in the series.
The mission mode is what truly made me love the series. Just 5 minutes to collect every item in an open map and get a high score. Fucking incredible. 4 had the dandori challenges but they weren't as good as 3s missions.
Bingo battle is the funnest multiplayer in the series, and pikmin 3 deluxe lets you play the whole damn campaign in coop.
hurr it was too easy, it gave you too much fruit
The series difficulty doesn't come from "too many days" it comes from speedrunning and optimizing routes, which 3 excels at. If that is your logic then 1 was the only kind of difficult game in the series since 2 and 4 gave you infinite time
3 was still too easy because enemies died too easily
This is true, but with pikmin 2 you could still beat any enemy with brute force even if your pikmin army dies, you just come back the next day with another army. once again pikmin 1 is the only game with actual difficulty even though everyone dickrides pikmin 2
but pikmin 3 didn't have caves!
Caves are a fucking cancer to the series. They are grindy wastes of time. Pikmin 3 did right turning the caves into mission mode. Quality over quantity. I liked the caves a bit as a kid because I had nothing else to do, but now I can't force myself to replay 2 or 4 because 90% of the time is in caves.
beat it 8 times
Fucking how? the first 3 fucking hours of the games is brainless fucking tutorials and cutscenes. I can't fucking imagine.
Then it forces you to do those fucking awful night missions which is the most disappointing addition to the series, I also can't imagine doing those 8 times.
3's only issue is the game being too short and the final level being ass. If you think no Olimar and battle caves make it awful, then you've been filtered
the final level being ass
You mean the formidable oak? I loved that level
Granted on a first run through it can be jarring. And it becomes MUCH easier if you know 1 or 2 tricks to skip some shit. But I think it's a fun gimmick for sure.
Please give us Pikmin 4 Deluxe with a new "Oatchi went missing lmao" zone and ten more Dandori challenges plus a hard mode/new game plus.
hard mode
LOL, enjoy them just giving you less pikmin.
On a side note I had a dream of a "hard" mode in pikmin 3 that I wish was true. Enemies are much stronger among other changes, but you could power up your pikmin for the next day by giving them fruit juice. You could increase their attack power, make them move faster, or have the next 30 leaf pikmin bloom into flowers, at the cost of your juice supply. This would turn the game's huge overabundance of juice supply into a strategical decision, and add more depth to replays of the game.
Idk just never got the urge to replay old games I used to play on the GC
would easily pay for an upgraded switch 2 version if they added an expansion like kirbo
Am logistics autist. Got like 97% in my logistics classes in college and obsessively replay anything with a timer/schedule like Pikmin, Dead Rising, or Majora's Mask.
Did you replay the other games as much? I assumed 4 was your favorite by your statement but maybe you've beaten the first game 20 times.
NTA but I think you can just choose to insta-fail and have the game beat it for you.
Well, you should.
HOLY SHIT REALLY?
That actually does help me want to replay pikmin 4. Those night missions were so boring.
I imagine a Moss map. Christmas themed, Moss is gathering food, has max stats but no equipment, no captain means massive opportunity cost in having Moss do shit herself.
if you play 4 as dandori efficiency autism and restart days to be faster i think it's the best in the series for that kind of play. absolutely addicting as a stage replaying title.
kind of like mortol.
Fucked up that the night went from the deadliest thing on the planet to six heat-seeking bulborbs.
I have unironically put 1300 hours into Pikmin 3. Mission mode tickles my brain right.
I guess even though I'm objectively wrong, I think even the graphics of pikmin 3 are way better than 4. I'm sure it comes down to slight changes in artstyle, but pikmin 3 was the perfect blend of realistic environments being invaded by cartoony creatuers. It seems like they didn't even try that hard with the textures in 4. Sure maybe the polycount was higher, but that just made the load times fucking unbearable.
There isn't an instant skip sadly but you can either let your character and Oatchi get killed or have a Lumiknoll get destroyed. It's the 'speed strat'.
