You have played as Gustave and seen the world from his perspective.
His pain was real, and his despair was real.
He is no more "fictional" than the people outside of the canvas world.
Painted People are as real as the Dessendre Family
No shit but the game's writing doesn't bridge this appropriately, they get their Aerith moment and then largely dropped it in act 3 to focus on the drama of some drug dealer retard family
What a mong take.
They're all fake because it's a video game :/
The issue is that the canvas is doomed either way, so can we salvage something from it? Either Alicia leaves the canvas, reconnects with her family and learns to be happy again and Renoir destroys the painting or Alicia stays, dies and Renoir destroys the canvas and EVERYONE is miserable.
The game even spells this out for you at the end when Verso says there a no good choices, only hard ones.
In a literal sense the canvas is doomed no matter what, because eventually something will destroy it in the real world.
Due to the difference in the flow of times Maelle could have easily spent a lifetime in the painting with her friends and then left it once they had all died. This is of course ignoring any additional attachments she might make, along with the effect that living an entire lifetime would have on her.
I think Renoir's motivation to destroy the painting would have lessened if Maelle had kept her word and left of her own accord, and it's clear from the Verso ending that with the entire family back in the real world they are beginning to recover from their grief.
Painted people are as real as the people in my head when I'm making up scenarios in my head on what if X happened
Get out of the painting Alicia, we told you it's bad to cope and ignore every fact.
A lot of the problem with Maellefags defense about living lifetimes in the painting is that we don't know enough about how canvases work. We know painting is a skill and Alicia is basically a newbie since she's hardly ever done it before, so how do you know time will still flow the same way once Aline is no longer in control?
and it's clear from the Verso ending that with the entire family back in the real world they are beginning to recover from their grief.
For me this ending is actually VERY naive, but whatever. Because especially in Alicia's case, the issues they are facing are much more severe than simply "overcoming grief". Alicia's other traumas won't go away simply because she gets over her brother's death. And none of the family members seem very eager to help her with a fact that she's been rendered mute, disfigured cripple, they just entertain the "out of sight, out of mind" approach.
Renoir keeps telling her to work it out somehow.
Clea keeps dismissing her.
Aline can't even look at her.
That's not a healthy enviroment to work out your traumas.
You missed the entire reason why they treat her like that. She is why the Writers got into the position that disfigured her and cost Verso his life. The responsibility for that is the Writers, entirely, but it is undeniable they could have never been in that position if Alicia had not been thinking only of herself.
That is why they treat Alicia like shit, they are grieving and part of that grieving is not coming to terms how much is and isn't Alicia's fault. By getting over Verso's death they can start to mend the relationship with Alicia.
It's fine bro they were just created by some painter, their lives shouldn't mean anything compared to their creator
NOOO GOD WHY DID YOU GIVE MY KID CANCER HOW CAN YOU BE SO EVIL YOU LITERALLY CREATED US JUST TO SUFFER AND DIE?
lol
Soul Verso gives you this song
It is a song she (Clea) used to play me where we were together
song is Until Next Life, lyrics include
A man whose steps leave no trace
A man whose voice sounded like tears
A man whose memory erase
A man whose time flow off-beats
You’ll learn that all is not in vain
All that matters remains
But it’s time, to say goodbye
Until next life
What the FUCK did they mean by that
It's obviously not a song Clea would sing Verso when they were happy children playing in the painting.
Did Clea sneak in the painting after Verso's death to have a little bit of secret grieving then is a bitch to everybody else who does it?
Captcha : GGAYH
Which was the problem BEFORE the events of Expedition 33 and is exactly why they're all fucked in the first place. The events of the game clearly change them all, especially Renoir and Alicia. If you went through the whole game and think the Dessendre's are the same people they were at the end of the game as they were at the start then you're kind of stupid. Except Clea. She's probably still a bitch but she's probably going to go easier on her sister after she stepped up and stop being such a whiny crybaby.
Didn't do the side content award.
So are books real?
Did Clea sneak in the painting after Verso's death to have a little bit of secret grieving then is a bitch to everybody else who does it?
Probably. They painted the painting together so it would make sense but Clea is a pragmatist so she probably said her goodbyes, told herself that that was her getting over it then turned her grief towards getting revenge on the Writers without realizing that it was consuming her because she was not, in fact, over it.
gay family drama instead of a painted npc rebellion against painters
Never trust the french.
Give my man Gustave 10 more years and he'll figure out the technology to exit the painter and punch the demiurges in the jaw
By getting over Verso's death they can start to mend the relationship with Alicia
My issue is that the game doesn't really make good point out of that - if anything it makes an opposite argument. This family was dysfunctional way before Verso's death, his death just highlighted HOW dysfunctional they are.
It's not as if Clea and Aline only started treating Alicia like shit after the accident. They were always treating her like shit, with Aline being against her passion for books and putting her down for never being good enough (Alicia does say that mom never thought her paintings are good enough) and Clea being a bully who only cares about her own ambitions. There is a reason why Alicia was quiet and withdrawn even before the accident. The game claims this is going to magically change after they deal with Verso's death, but I don't see it.
None of the family members even bothers to interact with Alicia, nevermind give her a hug during the Life to Love ending. I dunno if that's just the writer's fuckup, but this didn't allevate my concerns.
There's no reason to assume otherwise unless it's explicitly mentioned. Aline got ejected from the canvas and it continued. Renoir got ejected from the canvas and it continued. Clea who was likely stronger than both of them at the time of her visit came and left and the canvas continued.
One issue with the living a lifetime in the canvas plan is that obviously Maelle is not strong enough to do. In the Maelle ending she's lived 17 canvas years plus however many years since the ending, probably no more than 10 given the age of Lune's child, and is already showing signs of breaking down. Ideally she'd leave the canvas to recuperate, but if time flows faster in the canvas she might not want to in order to avoid missing out on time with her friends.
It's not like the family has collectively had a chance to console her. Aline immediately went off the deep end far worse than Maelle did. Clea seems emotionally detached and is obviously busy fighting some sort of war in the real world. Renoir would be best suited to supporting her but he immediately had to go and rescue his wife from her painting addiction.
If you went through the whole game and think the Dessendre's are the same people they were at the end of the game as they were at the start then you're kind of stupid.
Yes, they are, because they never worked out their traumas over the course of the game. And they keep forcing themselves onto each other.
Renoir can't be bothered to talk things out with his wife, he just forcibly tries to boot her out.
then he tries to boot out Alicia, while dismissing her point.
then Alicia forcibly tries to boot him out.
then Verso forcibly boots out Alicia.
No lesson was learned, everybody immediately skipped to all-out conflict.
people like verso huh? at first when he join my party i didnt trust the guy, and when we meet renoir he say "you didnt told her?" i find verso might hiding something, and then i found out that he let gustave die, he kill expedition zero and all expedition after that. now i suppose to like him? wtf
i like maelle ending better, fuck verso. hes an asshole
Clea hasn't disparaged anyone for grieving, or spending time inside the painting. She's frustrated because she's been left to deal with the Writer's Guild alone. I think she said she'd be happy if Aline stayed in there if Renoir came out and helped.
Gustgods... just 3 more expeditions and we'll be outta here.
Also I've not completely finished the game yet, but right at the end - do they explain what the fuck is going on with the Writers and the Painters, or is this sequel bait?
No one cares, least of all the game itself.
spoilers you and the entire universe are doomed either way as well
This is why Renoir FEARS the Maelle ending.
Sims people are real
You have played with their families, and seen the world from their perspective. Their pain was real, and their despair was real. They are no more fictional than the people outside the game.
They were always treating her like shit, with Aline being against her passion for books
I wonder why they were against her reading books when all the trauma of the plot is triggered by the WRITERS GUILD.
the painted people can not exist without the dessendre
they are their literal gods and their wellbeing means the wellbeing of hundreds of canvases, it was grief that made the mess and continued the cycle
Verso confirms painted beings are sentient.
All that matters is Clea was right and best girl.
It's not like the family has collectively had a chance to console her. Aline immediately went off the deep end far worse than Maelle did.
And I empathize with Alicia's case much more strongly than with Alina's or anybody else's. Also it shows how lacking in empathy Clea is. Responsible sister wouldn't throw his clearly very emotionally compromised sister into the canvas, where she can lose herself in. She might as well give her a crate of heroin to and a bunch of needles while she's at it.
Also, Renoir had every opportunity to remove her from the canvas from the start, yet then blames her for sitting in a canvas for too long, even though she had no clue what was going on.
The Bible literally has God wiping out everyone in a great flood because he didn’t like them, these threads are always really funny because there’s so many US Christians that will believe in the rights of painted people but also that they don’t deserve any rights themselves irl
So, you are saying Painters are illiterate? Because books are evil and reading them is verboten?
You are mentally ill
not christian
believe in the fundamental right to existence as a sapient mind
My views are consistent. Better than the cucks whose opinions are also consistent because "of course I submit to divine authority and I will do anything God commands"
You're assuming that Renoir didn't try to reason with Aline. There's no evidence to say how he initially approached the situation. He might have spent years in the painting trying to reason with her. He probably did and that's why he goes straight to force when Alicia turns up. He's already tried reasoning with an addict once and knows it doesn't work. Not to mention in Alicia's case the addict happens to be his teenage introvert daughter. You also seem to be forgetting that Renoir decides to stop trying to use force at the end of the game when Alicia lies and says she won't kill herself by staying in the painting. That's him relinquishing control, something he's been trying to exert over her from the start and a fundamental change to his character. You're FURTHER ignoring the fact that with Alice and Aline out of the painting and the painting destroyed, the addicts no longer have a way to get their "fix", so they're going to have to process their feelings and heal.
They course of the game wasn't them processing their traumas, the course of the game was enabling the family to process their trauma, which comes after the A Life To Love epilogue. The title of the epilogue even spells it out for you.
Would your opinion change if he was an AI instead of a painting? There is literally no difference.
this is why i could see why alicia want to stay in the canvas, she got new friend and family there who treated her good. outside the canvas her family treated her like trash. verso her brother who probably care about her is die anyway so why bother come back.
I think they would avoid reading fictional works most likely.
he kill expedition zero and all expedition after that.
You are terminally retarded and need to shut up.
You're assuming that Renoir didn't try to reason with Aline
He didn't. Clea says as much. He immediately picked violence.
There is literally no difference.
But there is. There is no sapient AI yet and I doubt it every will.
Versoul was tired of painting and wanted to move on, that's literally all the information you need to choose the correct ending. Alicia can fuck off and repaint her friends in a new canvas with strippers and beer.
Too bad
One doesn't outweigh many
Gustave won
Maelle won
Lune won
Verso in piano mines for 10000 years
Nice
But as far as I'm aware my life isn't being controlled by a dysfunctional French family. At least not directly.
I wonder how she could know that. Either she witnessed it which means she didn't intervene, or Renoir told her himself, but I don't think they had any contact in the painting did they?
Renoir probably knew talking was useless, and he had to use the element of surprise since Aline would overpower him even in her weakened state. It's also likely this is the same approach she took with his addiction. You don't casually spend 27 or so years in an alternate life just to be talked out of it.
Hon hon hon…monsieur how you say “does not know”
Alice and Aline out of the painting and the painting destroyed, the addicts no longer have a way to get their "fix", so they're going to have to process their feelings and heal.
I don't see it. There is nothing stopping Alicia from painting a new canvas where she loses herself in and the whole thing starts all over again. Aline's trauma of losing her son got resolved, Alicia's trauma of wanting to escape a sad life of a cripple wasn't. And she gained additional trauma on top of it by losing her painted family, who for her were about as real as Dessandres, because at this point Alicia's and Maelle's memories are intertwined.
braindead versofag
And Sciel got her husband back so she won and Verso is cucked.
And there are no sapient paintings either. What's your point?
But as far as I'm aware my life isn't being controlled by a dysfunctional French family.
be a good boy and play that piano bitch
The pivotal point of the conflict of the game is the fact that the painting is the last piece of the Real Verso they have left. What's important to them is Verso, not the painting itself. It's practically drilled into you, how did you not get that? Even in Maelle's ending she clearly only cares that she gets to spend time with Verso, everything else is secondary.
Everyone was mean to Alicia!
You can tell who didn't grow up with a father in the home. Renoir was literally a model father the entire game.
Write a bullet into all painter skulls (but not before torturing them)
They’re gonna cope again with a new fake Verso, realistically speaking
Clea is evil. Simon is literally "made a deal with the devil" archetype.
Which is funny because Maelle's primary attachment is to painted Verso, but painted Verso has no connection with the painting itself. Aline could just as well paint another Verso in another painting.
person who painted 80% of the murder machines in the Canvas is evil
Duh? From the perspective of the painted world, anyway. To her it was just a bit of scribbling to help out dad.
She didn't have to skullfuck Simon and painted Clea.
escapism is le bad
says the anon who spends 18 hours in front of a screen to cope with his shitty life.
Let Alicia be happy in her escapism instead of suffering in the clown world being mute, disfigured, and grieving the loss of someone who saved her.
She’s got a lot going on, way worse than her mother. Besides, she can just leave and visit sometimes, like she said.
You're responding to a bot or a shill. Every mention of A and I will get the same "it's not sapient" response no matter what thread you post it in.
he doesn't know
And that's why I think the ending doesn't work, actually. Because is reduces a very complex case that Alicia is presenting into a simplistic "it was always about Verso". Notice that everytime Alicia brings up the issue of why should Renoir and Verso condemn her to live in a broken body, the game never has a counterargument and instead just goes on about Verso. Same thing with a painted people. The game never lets them make their case, otherwise it might defeat the aesop the game tries to push.
It's very naive in my opinion.
Simon was a simp and Clea was justified in copyright claiming the doll her mom painted.
Talking about sapience or free will is irrelevant as long as we live in a Painter Occupied Canvas. It doesn't matter whether painted people are real or not; their lives are still forfeit at the whims of a few painters at the top. The only logical preclusion is Total Painter Death. *Then* we can have a conversation about whether our lives matter or not.
These threads are kind of funny because they mirror FFTA threads except this time we also have marketers trying to steer discussion away from controversial interpretations but it doesn’t work
This is the true reason Verso had to make sure Gustave is out of the picture.
The shitty demiurge fears the dedicated man with free will.
They are literally not. They’re the creations of a boy whose soul is trapped in this thing. They have no independent being
They are literally sentient, you stupid nigger. Play the game
The mentally ill Maelle squad at it again, I see.
Idiot.
I will not accept this
Something needs to be invented or some spell needs to be created that can make painted people possess real people that are currently connected to the painting. Step one. Then possessed Maelle gets Renoir to enter the painting by making up some story. Possessed Renoir will have an easy time getting everyone else to connect. With the whole Dessendre family possessed, no one will ever get in the way again. Everyone from Lumière can leave and enter the painting as they please. They will be more real than real people ever were. Real people are merely hosts now. Total real people subjection.
They literally think, reproduce, and can innovate on their own.
boy Verso only created the Gestrals. The Paintress created Lumière and the humans.
From what we're presented it doesn't seem like anyone particularly liked Verso the real person or got along well with him at the time of his death. From what we're told Verso was a lying, manipulative and two faced but does so to protect his family. His painted version, which is his mothers impression of him as a person is much the same. His axon (which Renoir painted to represent him) is literally a bunch of masks and Monoco describes him as He Who Guards The Truth With Lies. They're mourning the loss of a family member, not the person.
Back to piano you go
Next game is musicians vs poets or something
We never hear about painters and writers again
he was a real faggot thats for sure.
shit characters
shit dialogue
shit story
youtube.com
He's right you know.
Whoofags are out of their minds.
Whee ending was obviously much better.
he's probably still a bitch but she's probably going to go easier on her sister after she stepped up and stop being such a whiny crybaby.
Didn't finish Endless Tower yet?
I'm fine with this. An anthology series of games set in the world from different perspectives would be coolers than following a single central conflict.
musicians vs poets
Didn't finish Endless Tower yet?
I got to the Painted Lovers then went to do Floating Manor then got distracted by other games because I was burned out going through Endless Tower.
It's just a background thing that's totally unrelated beyond that bitch Alicia being a wrigger sympathizer
Yes they are real, just living in a microverse of the real world, where painters, writers and whatnot seem to have a strange power which lets them do this. This is something we do not know yet, as this game laid the foundation for it. We saw the Dessendre family. That means there are other painter families and also writers, which are doing their thing with that said strange super power where you can create living microverses. Incredible.
Damn, you should go finish those two and get to Renoir's Drafts. There's a lot of Clea content you're missing.
The writers made you think that.
They are the obvious bad guys, but you make the mistake of trusting them.
she clearly only cares that she gets to spend time with Verso, everything else is secondary.
The only thing clear here is you conveniently oversimplifying her primary motivations as "muh verso" to pivot it towards your narrative. He is one factor of many. You do not just up and yeet your last life of 16 years because you just remembered your first life and decide to only stay for muh ded brotha soul. Verso is one of many factors.
We never hear about painters and writers again
In this specific sequel, maybe not. But then in the following games, sure.
Act 3 Maelle is very different from the previous Acts because she's not Maelle anymore, she's Alicia. That is pretty clear to anyone who's not retarded.
Any post in this thread could have been written by the writer's guild...
clea will never whisper words of encouragement in your ear
Simon has it so good...
Yes anon, they are all real. And when you turn off the game, you are actually killing them, because clearly, there is no difference between looking like it, and being it.
I'll see (you), and all the pro simulacrum faggots, fighting for human rights for AI in the street in a couple of years.
Wrong. She IS Maelle! In Act III she just regains the memory of her true real life self: Alicia. Meaning Maelle/Alicia is a literal schizo and THAT is the problem with her. Her mind literally melted with two lifes lived.
She's maelle but has also inherited alicia's memories and personality. She tells you straight out, she now has memories of two childhoods and two dessandre families. Her infatuation with Verso also skyrockets from this point on because she now has knowledge about the real one and how he behaved in real life
My boy Gustave would have killed Alicia to avenge Maelle and that's all there is to it.
Which is exactly what you are going to get.
RPG Site: You have probably gotten this question before, but can you explain what the term 'Clair Obscur' means? I think a lot of people might not realize the connotation and find it simply foreign.
Francois Meurisse: I mean, day to day, we call the game 'Expedition 33', which is quite...
RPG Site: I think that's very evocative.
Francois Meurisse: Yeah, evocative. Clair Obscur is the name for the bigger IP, because we've already imagined a linked universe, maybe a later game. Clair Obscur itself is a reference to a painting technique in Italy, chiaroscuro, which is a way to paint with contrast between light and dark. Of course, this has a deeper meaning in the story of the game and maybe future games as well.
Which should have been obvious given not only the title, but how they handled the ending. This game will never have a direct sequel. But I still feel the war between The Writers and The Painters can be touched on without touching the Dessendre easily.
presenting lies as facts
damn someone wants to be an axon in the next game.
maelle was always maelle. in act 1. act 2. act 3. act 4. act 5. and the hidden act 6. the exact same character. from the very beginning of the game after gommage her memories were slowly starting to come back as shown in her dreams. some dreams were visits but some dreams were memories of her real world life. when the letter is read that's when she fully regains her memories - wasnt it obvious enough when they showed her remembering herself as alicia and then birthing as maelle with a 16 year long timeskip implying that she now has 32 years worth of memories?
I feel bad for Maelle's parents. All that effort raising a changeling. Is that cucking? Like it literally would be, right? That's what a Cuckoo bird does, kills an infant and substitutes its own.
If not evil, then at least deeply demented.
You mean all the parents she's had throughout her life. She didn't even get to know her og painted ones (the ones in the cutscene)
If you think about it, painted maelle dealt fairly naturally with death since it had been a constant all her life, but the moment she inherits Alicia's memories everything goes to shit
So did Aline do anything actually bad to the painting other than the creation of immortal Dessendre clones? Other than them it doesn't look like she harmed the painting before Renoir and Clea got involved. Obviously it harms her irl self but from the perspective of the Lumierans, had they known that it was Renoir who did the gommages and Clea created the nevrons, did they even have a reason to fear/hate Aline? She seemed pretty benevolent, yet i've seen anons claimed that Verso's soul "got tired of her bullshit", or that she's a cautionary tale for Maelle's ending. I don't really understand why
It's a shame that we never saw how Verso got affected by knowing that he knows that he's a fake painted human in a fake painted world.
doomed in millions and millions of years
doomed in a couple decades
Yep exact same thing right here, no difference whatsoever
I think that Painted Clea makes it apparent that it's not an "inheritance" it's a new character created in the image of an old. Maelle dies after Renoir nukes the canvas and the thing that comes back is Alicia, not Maelle.
youtu.be
Without Gustave and his lumina convertor, 33 was destined to fail, like every other expedition. All the versofags who want to worship a suicidal loser just don't get it. They keep saying 'hurr durr she can just paint a new canvas.'
Why is Lune so easy to trick? I thought she was supposed to be smart
Irl Dessandre had just lost verso. Renoir already had experienced what it means getting lost in a canvas (he almost died, saved by aline) and he saw all the signs that Aline was going to stay in that canvas coping until it killed her. If you ask me, maelle's ending must have been very similar to what aline was going through before renoir intervened. Keep in mind that Verso would pretty much be reliving the same scenario lmao. Forced to play piano by aline 100 years ago, and now forced to play again by alicia during that ending. No wonder he wanted to fuck off to oblivion; he's a toy for them to keep coping
No, she did nothing but that. Live a life in fake paris in harmony with the Grandis and Gestrals; they tell you that themselves when spoken to.
Which is why Clea blames Renoir as much as she blames Aline for the situation. Yes, she was going down the copium line, but it wasn't even that long since she had started to "slip" before his fear of losing her kicked in and he stepped into the painting shitting Axons all over the place.
It's also why Verso's only point is being a gaslighting faggot, because he knew the moment the expeditions understood who she was, they'd side with her and win.
No, for the painted people, Aline was as benevolent as it gets. It only went to shit after Renoir and Clea got involved.
Which begs the question why wouldn't Alicia be even more benevolent, given that she literally grew up among them.
He even failed at being a toy.
You must've skipped some of the cutscenes, or you have poor reading comprehension.
Aline and Alicia both literally give their creations free will, that is the entire and only reason the plot happens, you understand that, don't you? They don't foce Verso to do shit, he is an incapable cuck who can't come to terms with his own identity.
The whole catalyst for the story is that Aline decided to hide from her real life in the Canvas with a fake family and never leave. It's implied that there are health complications that occur if you remain too long in a Canvas that eventually end in death. Renoir goes in to retrieve her because she had done the same for him once and he doesn't want to lose his wife.
They stalemate and Clea throws some doodles around to commit atrocities that will ensure Renoir eventually grinds out a win while she tries to handle total writer death in the real world. Alicia goes in too but because she's stupid and useless she gets inadvertently incarnated into Maelle.
People of Paint have souls and deserve human rights. Also please stop calling them "Painted people" it is a very outdated and problematic term
I understand, I'm speaking purely from the perspective of the Lumierans/Verso's soul. What did Aline do that was bad for them and serves as an example to why Maelle would mistreat them?
all he had to do was be a good son and brother, instead he betrayed everyone he ever encountered, in one way or another
Is this game the Re:Creators sequel I keep hearing about?
the fact that everything you said is something that escapes the head of so many people is grim
Are you a fendora ?
Hell, all he had to do was just... actively not fuck shit up for others and let his families solve matters, but god forbid.
What did Aline do that was bad for them
Verso loves his mother and understands that she is literally killing herself to stay with him. That's the root of nearly every decision he takes in the story.
They won't be mistreated, but they will inevitably suffer the same fate as in verso's ending. Alicia will die from staying there too long, and the painting will get trashed when that happens
I don't give a shit dude, I eat thousands of animals per year
see I know it's bad for her irl self and her irl family, but what bad things did she do the painting and its inhabitants?
He really is a miserable creature. Esquie and Monoco both understood his role a lot better than he did.
Whys is nobody here talking about the fact in Verso's ending, Gustave is not waving at Alicia, but beckoning her.
The man that she cared for most as Maelle is calling her over. To join him in death. That's like the opposite of a hopeful ending. Maelle ends up the litteral parallel to painted Verso in hers. Trapped in a life she doesn't want wishing she could die.
There is fairly high chance Maelle will kill herserlf in the future and is strongly hinted by the writers.
Wait, wasn't Soul!Verso's argument that he's tired of painting not because he wants to stop, but because his canvas is supposed to be a place of fun and childhood joy and mommy and daddy are turning it into a warzone and he has to witness it? Why would he be against Alicia, that wants to fix everything for the Lumerians?
I had a lot of time to think about it while I was flubbing my parries.
Yeah let's tell the guy that knows is a copy living a lie to humor two deranged bitches while they kill themselves out of copium
the schizo woke up
Seek help
They don't have complete free will by defenition retard. Painted Verso is created to behave like the real Verso. Painted Verso like music only because the real Verso liked music.
The whole catalyst for the story is that Aline decided to hide from her real life in the Canvas with a fake family and never leave
Incorrect.
She STARTED TO spend too much time in the Canvas.
Renoir freaked out and drew the conclusion she was getting addicted to it.
Rather than speak to each other, they chimped out and Fractured.
The game states this outright. You are what I assume is an easily manipulated retard or a woman hater who sees Renoir be like,
"I like mai wife :(" and absolves him of every part he very much had in the plot, when it was even him that allowed Alicia to continue being in the Canvas after his Painted self booted her out.
Don't be a retard anymore, please. This is not and will never be the bitches be crazy story you people enjoy making it be.
You'll summon the schizo AGAIN
What are the odds of the Writer vs Painter conflict being nothing more than a small mafia family esque feud and not an actual grand war?
She needs to murk those threatening to burn the canvas so she can leave the canvas every now and then. Then they will be safe because she can leave to touch grass now and then.
The problem, of course, is if because of time dilation she leaves to find everyone dead or someone enters the canvas when she leaves it unguarded and has an existential crisis.
kill yourself, Alicia, you killed my daughter die demiurge die
What could Gustave have meant by this?
writers guild propaganda
Isn't it enough that you killed her big brother and left her scarred for life and barely able to communicate?
Writers did nothing wrong, kill all painters
Since when the fuck is your will your memories? Yeah no shit sherlock he is influenced, that does not mean he lacks the free will to shoot himself if he wants to were he not immortal. Do you know how we know this? Because he has tried!
This is an inconvenient truth that versofags hate.
That was always the impression I got from the game. It was just an excuse to have the fire and it sounded like believable lore that there were some political feuds in the outside world. I dont know why people keep on saying its some epic outside battle or that the writers have omnipotent powers in the real world that can rewrite reality.
Renoir saw it happen. It happened to him and to alice. Alicia WILL relapse and inevitably come back, especially since there's nothing else for her outside
Verso's soul (and the fact that it's his canvas, in general) is the poison that's killing them. Renoir and aline created hundreds of worlds, but that is the only one that keeps aline coming back. It's like rotting in your kid's bedroom while leaving everything intact to honor his memory. It's not healthy
Kill all Obscurs
No shit but the game's writing doesn't bridge this appropriately
Where do you think think OP got the knowledge that painted people are fully sentient from if not the writing?
Versofags on suicide watch
Inevitably
Sounds retarded, why would buying more time for her to move on and get counseling for her friends not be quite literally the only reasonable thing to do?
The game states this outright
Nowhere does it state that Renoir did not attempt dialogue before nuking Lumierre. It would be completely out of character for him to do that.
this is the truth
You don't know that. A meteorite might hit us in 10 years.
Do we know of any lore implications from the enemy literally called Clair Obscur?
Reminder Final Fantasy 8 is the game the devs like the most.

Alicia WILL relapse and inevitably come back, especially since there's nothing else for her outside
Alicia might literally relapse by painting any other canvas, because her issue of being forced to live as a cripple remains unresolved.
The dude with a massive ego up his ass whom his own eldest and more capable daughter describes as "too immature to hold a conversation" and "incapable to let go of his fear of losing someone" said this before trying to force people to do things his way!
Must be true!
Verso doesn't care if they're real. They all need to die so his mother can live lmao
the painted guy wants something so it doesn't matter what the painted people want
Great.
but his soul fragment
There is a piece of an artists soul in every canvas.
It's the same thing that happened with ffxiv and the endless. The difference is that the writers for the latest xpack are not very talented and have 1 npc tell you they are a simulacrum and everyone suddenly adopts that word, despite them having memories, being able to create new memories and possessing a soul.
this nigga is interviewing sandfall soon, hope he asks the good questions
I know he lurks here
attractive fuck boy screws a woman multiple times yet she comes back to him again and again
Very realistic female character writing. He could probably kill her and bring back for a quickie 10 times more and she wouldn't complain.
Clea: "Of course the two of them are too immature to sit down and have any sort of conversation, and definitely not the one they should be having."
Clea: "So instead, they do this."
Play the game, secondary.
She's got her Esquie plushy to help her cope. She'll be fine.
She's not actually skilled enough to paint entire world like the others, and she seemed like writing was her passion anyway. Also believe it or not it's possible to move on as a cripple, it's not some plothole just because you're pro assisted suicide
There's a difference between might and will.
Aline put down the crack pipe, your daughters need you
YOU WILL NOT TAKE THIS CANVAS FROM ME!!! I WILL GRIEVE IN MY OWN WAY
Clea wasn't there for the blow-up or she'd be stuck under the monolith like Renoir
Clea confirms this. He didn't try to reason with Aline, he just went in guns blazing.
It would be completely out of character for him to do that
It's totally in character for him, because he did the same thing to Alicia and she had to beat the shit out of him for him to finally start talking to her.
the painting will get trashed when that happens
There won't be a real reason to trash it at this point.
that's why I said complete free will nigger. He barely knows which hobbies are really his and which hobbies are Versos. He doesn't know if he dislikes something or if the real Verso disliked that thing. You have free will if you are born as a blank slate, being born as a copy of some dead faggot you never knew and having your actions influenced by that dead faggots personality is not free will
Assisted suicide is someone wanting to live a normal lifespan with your loved ones instead of spending +10000 years making half-baked fanfiction to please their family's ego
The fuck kinda logic even is this
Versosissies
B-but they are not real! They are fake! It doesn't count! Muh sims! Baawwww
VersoCHADS
Why yes, they are all real, I genocided 3 civilizations for my little sister and I'd do it again
Clea my beloved
So, with that logic, characters in video games are not more "fictional" than actual people. In other words, when you play RTS games you literally commit genocide, when play FPS games you murder people and when you play eroge VNs, you actually have sex?
Away with you, schizo. We have not sacrificed the five women with carreers and happy husbands necessary for you to show up and diarrhea all over the place.
Yet.
He did not, and it's not out of character
He's already been there, obsessed and almost killed by one of his canvas in the past. Aline saved him and taught him the dangers of that shit
Now he sees she's going through the same. He's been there; he knows words will not be enough
So you are saying the Verso was full of shit when he told her "you are a paintress, you don't have the live the life you don't want" after he condemned her to live as a mute, disfigured cripple?
What an asshole.
i get that it doesn't make for good storytelling but realistically speaking they could've been all "hey let's just let verso's painting be alive and ship it to some art collector in clair obscur's canada version" or something like that
because i presume that the way they originally hid it was just throwing it into their basement or something
0.00000000000001% chance a meteorite wipes out the earth in a decade
99.999999999999999% chance Renoir destroys the painting in a couple decades
Yep absolutely the same thing
Not to mention literally moments after Alicia regains her memories he already starts arguing with her instead of acknowledging her prior attachments to the painting as Maelle. He just resorts to "I said no!"
reddit versofag
Anon Babble alicifag
love you guys
Verso is a serial liar, but he didn't "condemn" her, he just saved her life.
Literally nobody has free will. You get input from society, your parents and media from the second you are born and can retain information. Are you an actual nigger not to understand that? He can learn and develop, as shown. Has had 100+ years to do so, as shown.
He DECIDED not to, however, because he is a little bitch. Not because he is unable to do so.
Isn't his mother out of the canvas in the Maelle ending anyways?
Don't they at one point early into act 3 go on about how the mum isn't even a good enough painter to repair someone else's work? Wasn't one of the points that the painting was doomed to begin with?
Thanks.
Asshole.
Man this makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
Thanks for the insight, i think you may be right and Maelle might be the good ending (even tough I picked Verso)
anon trying to be smart
You are stupid, friend.
For my little sister
Not your sister, though. Some dude's sister you met like three months ago or something. And it's not even her anymore, it's the amalgam of her and some other 16 year old girl you know even less.
You killed your actual sister. And your father.
Just saying, can still be proud of that, but.
Yes. And now his sister is killing herself instead.
The majority of Anons are male, right leaning and atheists/nihilists, so of course the majority of people here are going to side with Verso.
That makes no sense whatsoever given that Aline is on the Painter's Council (whatever that entails but we can assume it's a Council of the greatest Painters) and is stronger than Renoir as well.
She'll be fine.
nice catch, while we see the other 3 family members handle grief, this was Clea's way of saying goodbye.
Real world Alicia is so fucking cute, her burn scarred tissue and missing eye don't make her any uglier.
Maelle's ending is the rebellious teenager nihilist ending thoughever.
99.999999999999999
No one is obligated to run along with your headcanon.
Yeah I'm starting to see it too guys. Makes a lot of sense.
maelle ending is literally:
escapism good, let me enjoy my virtual friends and 2D waifu
Alicia can be negotiated with. She'd be probably willing to leave the canvas if its safety is guaranteed.
Aline handles grief by shutting herself away in a fake imaginary world left behind by Verso
Renoir handles grief by being the man of the household trying to accept things as they are and keeping the family together
Clea handles grief by removing herself from all emotions and trying to be a big strong adult about it and focusing her mind on other matters
Alicia handles grief by blaming herself for everything that happened
In the end the entire game is about grief.
Are you genuinely retarded? Magic doesnt exist in real life and your computer isnt a magical canvas.
Everyone describes him as a control freak
You meet him in his drafts and he literally states: "You know why I like all of this? Because it puts order to chaos. It puts things in my hands to deliver them to their place. Control. Sense."
Clea states he is riddled with fear of loss and blinded by it
Literally felt like the way he should go about this is metaphorically throw idealized shitposts of his family at Aline
Uses Alicia as a tool of war, literally prevents Aline from booting her out of the painting when she realizes Alicia is there and the chance presents itself
"Out of character"
literally
Never an honest or even correct post with this word.
you're literally wrong
She's never leaving that canvas on her own volition lmao
Nigger he was painted to like those things, to act a certain way and to look a certain way. He didn't get input from society or some other memeshit. He was designed from the start to act a certain way. If the Verso in real life was brave, the Painted Verso will be brave. This isn't just some irrelevant shit like supporting a sports club because your Dad supported the club and influenced you to start supporting it as a kid
in a fake imaginary world
As compared to a fake imaginary would outside of the canvas? Don't you realize that you have no standard that if applied evenly would make one world more "real" than the other?
parent scared of losing his wife and children to what he thinks is certain death
just being a control freak
lol
painting the tippers as the gigachads
get a hold of this guy's severe humiliation fetish
I feel like them saying that hiding the painting is impossible is such a shit cop out. The only reason they say that is because they know someone playing it will go "why dont they just hide it" but now they can say "ACTUALLY we already addressed that". Youre right, they can get move the painting far away, hide it at the bottom of the ocean etc.
Hey Verso I want to save your life and-
NOOOOOOO I DONT WANT THIS LIFE KILL ME KILL ME KILL ME AAAAA YOU CAN PUT EVERYTHING RIGHT YOU MUST KILL ME NOW I WANT TO SUICIDE RIGHT NOW FUCK YOU
Well that's a strange double-edged sword this man wields, huh
Literally felt like the way he should go about this is metaphorically throw idealized shitposts of his family at Aline
But the painted family was created by Aline?
the painted people don't have access to the outside world
people in the outside world literally harms their real selves by entering the painting
nah the painting is definitely the fake world here.
just threw the last trace of your son's soul into the ocean, are you guys stupid? lol
Does anyone else find it weird that this 16 year old girl has those three folds/ wrinkles on her neck? I'm a 27 year old dude and I don't have them yet.
It makes her look a lot older.
The control freak part is him trying to prevent that by attempting to violently force his view, rather than through compromise.
Alicia is the one refusing to leave because she's certain her Dad will detroy her Larp painting the moment she does
Verso is already dead, Alicia is still alive.
As compared to a fake imaginary would outside of the canvas?
The real world is quite literally real thougheverbeit whereas the Canvas world is always a painted fictional world. It's the same way that we're in the real world right now and Clair Obscur is only a videogame.
Absolute fucking retard, living 1 year or 10 billions year is equally insignificant compared to the infinite. They are both worthless measurements that only makes sense to you because your lifespan is limited but they don't have any intrinsic value tied to it.
My wife is behaving erratically,
I MUST beat the shit out of her
and I MUST make my daughter do cocaine so she joins in
there is no other possible way around this, I have been there
Today in "why you will never have a family that loves you"; we present you toxic behaviour of the controlling white knight.
video link?
Maelles ending is sacrificing herself to save the world. Verso is the edgy teen ending:
waaahh time to literally end the world because im a bitch and nothing even matters anyway
is the root cause of the game's in-game problems the fact that aline couldn't grieve normally for verso and decided to play make believe in his painting which set in motion all of the events in the lore or is it the fact that alicia didn't want to be alive in the real world and decided to spend her life inside the painting instead?
Aline made her fake family for herself, anon. Renoir made the four Axons specifically to make dramatic statements at his wife.
Because she has nothing to return to. Kudos to Renoir for being too dismissive to actually give her any reason as to she should return to real life.
I actually wondered what counterargument the game is going to have for Alicia's "here I get to live, there I merely exist" question. And the game had no argument.
keeping yourself hooked up to your escapist fantasy is saving the world
Yep, rebellious teenager
Renoir's an 18th century man. Aline should be thankful he hasn't had her institutionalized.
It's the same way that we're in the real world right now and Clair Obscur is only a videogame.
Who is the Zanzibart of Clair Obscur?
Maelles ending is sacrificing herself to save the world
You literally didn't play the game if you unironically think this. Maelle's ending is escapism to its fullest whilst subjecting Painted Verso, who mind you is fully aware that he's a fucking fake and imaginary character, to a life of torture when all he wants is to die and for Alicia to wake up and live in the real world.
Verso's soul
Some people have neck folds, some people don't. I too always had them even as a teen.
oh nooo im an ugly cripple
bitch you're rich, have influential family and also superpowers to make fantasy real
i swear to god maellefags are something else
maellefags be like
oh my you can't erase these doodles from the canvas because they are human beings!!! think about all the Black ink that's going to waste. oh the severity. my mental is going into le plunder and i'm going to write a tumblr post on Anon Babble in the next 5 minutes ;-;
How convenient. If we are going to throw platitudes that don't at all apply to what is going on, then she can simply state Alicia died the moment her memories and Maelle's merged into one person, because that is simply not the life Alicia underwent and she is thus a fundamentally different being who should be allowed by all rights to live in whichever world she wants, since they are both equal and the same to her in life span.
But we are not going to use that, are we?
Simon has a literal "zanzibart forgive me" moment in the game
The game whitewashes her crippled appearance so she could still our waifu. If they actually made her hideous looking it would make the dilemma much stronger
there are already video essays about e33
and there'll be countless others for years to come because youtubers are all creatively bankrupt and make $100k from this
i fucking hate social media
Clea
versofags be like
i want to die
dies
It is all caused by Dessandres in general. Alicia is collateral damage.
First you abuse your youngest daughter, then you are surprised that she would rather fantasy suicide herself than go back to her family.
No we aren't because the real world is inherently supreme to the painting. It's that simple. No need to invoke right and entitlements.
Except its all real though.
That's cool and all, and I'm really sorry for them, but they're getting erased.
5 year old boy painting a fantasy world thinks it's alive to him
errrrr yeah of fucking course are you retarded lol
Why be bitter about it when you can just not watch them
Or better yet why do you not make 100k a year extra with this if it's so easy
She's a woman and in a leadership position above most people so that's probably not even an option or he would have.
He says that's what he thinks, and that Clea disagrees with him.
i disappointed her :(
Ok than kill yourself right now because living for an extra minute or living for however many years your shitty life has remaining is insignificant compared to infinite. Who cares if you only live for a couple seconds more or a couple decades more right? Make sure to livetsream it too retarded faggot
Versofags be like
this game about magic... is actually not real because magic isnt real!
Yes, she grabbed Verso's childhood canvas (which contains a piece of his young soul) and just went in there ignoring all the rules about how this shit can kill you over time. It could easily be an allegory for drug usage
Renoir WAS an addict that was saved by her and shown how to safely use it. He's got first hand experience on how this shit can fuck you up. For 50 years aline was huffing this, and now maelle/alicia too, is on it
He literally did everything right, but contrarianism will always be the norm here
b-but he is a kid
Lol illiterate dumbass.
"For me"
literally the only characters in the game to say their creations are "real" are literal children
like this isn't an exageration
literally only children said this
not a single adult Painter has said it
And I disagree, so whatcha gonna do about it? Shit your pants about the fact? Cry that you are right and everyone else is wrong because you have no argument other than just that - platitudes?
Too bad.
I really like the Gestrals. I hadn't enjoyed a fantasy race this much in a long time.
nonsense analogies again
The entire point of the game is making that sacrifice, it's a huge trolley problem.
By denying the humanity of Lumiere you're removing all stakes from the game
Obviously adults aren’t going to say that, saying they are real would be saying they have some kind of responsibility to them and nobody is going to hold themselves to that. Argument from convenience
youtu.be
Clea, I love her so much. She's so ruthless.
Only 2 types of people will disagree: egalitarians who scorn at innate hierarchies, or "faustian" larpers who think it's "cucked" to ever submit, even to a literal god.
t. Ranny
you're not a witch, you're a mutilated boy born of incest
media illiteracy moment
paris being removed from the world is like losing israel. boo fucking hoo.
again
tumblr ending
Half expected that sword to turn into the moonlight greatsword
if I had access to a canvas and painter powers I'd commit horrible sexual atrocities for (in-canvas) centuries until I rotted away.
Versofags obsessed about trannies and race
But why?
If someone in your family is slowly dying from a drug addiction, but you had power to destroy the only source of it forever, what would you do?
Cool story, bro. I'll ring you back when I care. Might want to reel it back on the thesaurus syndrome.
She'll die anyway when the Germans start bombing Paris.
This isn't even outlandish. We're obviously unfit to have a power like this and we would do horrific things with it
Adults cope to avoid responsibility of billions of lives. Children just don't think about it.
They're dogs
Monoco is an irl dog made humanoid (ish), and so is the rest of the race
That's why their interactions between themselves are hilarious af
Not a single painter said they are not real either. If it were a common painter knowledge, they would teach it Verso and he would comment that he defies their teachings, not just "Clea disagrees though".
And Renoire very obviously treats canvas people as real humans. Would you offer sincere appologies and have a conversation with a doodle you want to erase? Even if it's a doodle of your dead kid.
sword grows when clea speaks
What did the devs mean by this?
It's fantasy Paris. Verso's tombstone says 33rd December.
I had an anon unironically say that you shouldn't force them to stop because "it's better if they stop on their own"
Not beat the shit out of them and create them a thousand more traumas in the process of "helping them", I tell you that much.
Shit would slide towards an "All Tomorrows" path really quick.
nnoooo but the drug is alive dude, you're making a big sacrifice
The part I'm curious about is that as they start to fade, most of them fade into red petals, Verso into white, and Maelle into orange. I would think Maelle would also be white like Verso. I don't think orange flower petals are shown anywhere else in the game. It's usually always red or white with these things.
And nothing's stopping fantasy Germany from murdering everyone Alicia loves.
If you're going to participate in this thread in good faith then prove that you're a Non-Painted Character and disavow the Painters. That's right. You can't do it. Your mind will immediately come up with some reason to explain it away; but we all know what the truth is.
Yea and thats exactly why no one should have that kind of power.
Until general historical events are mentioned in any capacity in-game then acknowledging them would be headcanon. Meanwhile there's an actual painters vs. writers war going on which I guess the sequel would be centered on
You can't blame her for wanting this
When the Germans swing by I will allow Alicia to hide in my attic if she never shows her face and Clea agrees to marry me.
In a world of wonder and magic, Germany would never exist.
ability to speak does not equal sentience
yeah i can say "sorry" to a chatGPT just before i call it a retard for saying the wrong thing i asked
She lied to her own father like a drug addict; he saw there's no convincing her and prayed to got she could find peace in there
Can accept fantasy paris with 33 days in a month and the idea that historical events can be altered
Cant accept magic that can create sentient life
Why do versofags keep on contradicting themselves?
Some of the takes in this thread is making me side with the writers.
Huh? What's the point here? If December having 33 days in it made Aline puke blood like the painting did I would say it's bad too I guess
There's nothing contradictory about holding the life of a god to be more valuable than than that of the god's creations.
TOTAL MAELLE VICTORY
expedition 33 is the climatic expedition
the same day verso dies on
Only Monoco. The other gestrals are action figures
fight during the whole game to keep the Canvas world alive
in the end you just erase it anyway just so the Dessendre family can get over their grief and Verso could rest
Anyway, very good game.
haha i'm fucking killing myself because i didn't want to be a cute burn victim in the real world :D
The writers (presuming they don't have the same powers) are already in the right to try to delete people capable of basically make endless rape dungeons without consequence.
There's a lot of clues the real world is not natural. I hate it would turn the story into a "simulation within a simulation" but even that is mentioned in the game as possible.
This was Julie right? What a cutie. Shame about what happened. Felt bad after reading Verso's journal
I mean... That was your choice, not "what you do", so.
the writers actually wrote the story of a family of painters who make painted worlds who are also at war with the writers as some anti painter propaganda
godamn it
haha i spend hours on games and shitposting on Anon Babble because real life sucks
Felt bad for whom? Her or Verso? Because Verso cements himself as an absolute treacherous shithead in that one.
Wake me up when ChatGPT is five trillion times more complex, has a sense of self, an inner construct of the world around it based on its senses, a driving force of will, hopes, dreams, novel ideas, art, inventions, love, hate, has sex and has children.
Yeah that's bad too
we're all hypocrites
There's a lot of clues the real world is not natural. I hate it would turn the story into a "simulation within a simulation" but even that is mentioned in the game as possible.
This is completely headcanon by you.
It's clearly a requirement to have brain damage to see Renoire acknowledge painted Verso and honestly offer "sincere Dessendre familiy apologies" and soiface and scream: "it's just like my hecking chat gpt wowzers"
Theres no simulation in a simulation at all though. Its not the Matrix.
Or I could choose the Maelle ending where she just becomes corrupted and insane while being like a goddess in a fake reality. Not a happy ending either.
it's another "Anon Babble, in a contrarian frenzy, sides with the cute psychopath living a lie" moment
Total painter death. One day Lumerians will break the matrix and kill the demiurge. When one falls, we continue.
NTA but Lune and Maelle literally say making paintings inside paintings is possible and that is how she will show them the outside world.
So before you spout shit play the game.
Sure, few more decades more maybe for VR tech to develop far enough.
Sounds like a wild and inaccurate interpretation, but I guess if that's what gets you off why not.
If you are the colors schizo by any chance, you already know we are not going to entertain you. Just saying.
Is it really that difficult to accept
yes, it's very unfortunate that events transpired as they did, but this sacrifice is the least painful way to move forward and end the cycle of suffering
Instead of handwaving it all and erasing all weight because "it's like erasing my heckin savefile lol"
Aren't the beings that Alicia repaints/resurrects technically not the same people?
Yellow is Maelle's chroma.
So did Aline do anything actually bad to the painting other than the creation of immortal Dessendre clones?
Well, she painted niggers into life, that's pretty bad
Verso is pretty cute admittedly. I agree. Very nice cocksucking lips.
Writers won
I wonder if expedition 66 had 6 people in the party
Wish Lune and Sciel's characters weren't just basically forgotten about in act 3
Unless I am misremembering, they were talking about real paintings, not canvases you can enter. As in, Maelle will draw them a picture to see.
No, they were talking about accessible paintings. She states she will be travelling inside them.
Thats exactly what she meant. versofags just keep on making up fanfiction shit lel
I was disappointing Lune didn't go haywire with the implications of living inside a simulated world.
That is debatable, yes.You can argue one way that chroma is their soul and stores their personhood, and repainted Sciel and Lune were identical and not based only on Maelle's memories, or you can argue the other way from Verso's words and general distrust of Alicia/Maelle that they're going to be puppets. Or just talk about the Star Trek transporter clone paradox.
You're fucking retarded lmao.
It wasnt a simulated world though.
Anon the whole world is forgotten by act 3. None of it matters; even lune and sciel act disconnected. For sciel, death is not death anymore; she just wants to see her husband back and that's it
Sciel has the best attitude towards this whole chain of events. I guess that's a result of how she hit rock bottom with the miscarriage and pierre's death. She literally doesn't even get mad at anything anymore
It is a canvas inside a canvas
Post a screenshot of the dialogue.
She should have chimped out at Verso and punch him or something, she never lived her whole life and now he wants to take it from her.
You will never have penetrative sex and get children in VR. You can and should with Lune.
End of Act 2/All of Act 3 needed to be at least 10 hours longer with more character development for Sciel/Lune/Esquie/Monoco/Clea/Renoir/Aline
Hmm, i wonder who is behind this...
not forgotten, i remember the mission. when one falls we continue
Act 2 you mean
She just was fascinated about the idea of being other worlds outside. Doesn't she even theorize that she wants to have a painted world within her own painted world?
with Lune.
Not as V*rso
2 non autistic people with media literacy.
you know what I mean, it's a world that you can turn off/erase.
For sciel, death is not death anymore; she just wants to see her husband back and that's it
bro the way sciel instantly went all "i don't give a fuck about you verso i just want my husband back lmao" and that's literally it for sciel's character was so damn dissapointing
Tomorrow comes but not for us
For those who come after except nobody will come after except the maniacal cruel demiurges who created us to suffer and now will erase us forever
T-Thanks...
Of course, of course. The buzzwords truly add to the flavour.
Idiots who think people inside Canvas are fake probably shit and piss themselves every time a fantasy game/book/film has a creator deity in it's lore.
And I sure hope you are not religious either lol.
Ah well you know
Take me to a canvas where women a thing and have a nice waist
Stop malding little bro
You don't understand, this is a HEALTHY meaning for the game, you just lack the MEDIA LITERACY to get it.
painted imaginary people inside a canvas are fake yes
2 weeks on and e33 threads are still hitting the bump limit. seriously impressive
Living in a world with the equivalent of Greek Gods sounds extremely awful ngl.
oh no there are consequences to lying about everything to everyone
I really like Verso but he kinda put himself in that bind.
I do feel bad for Painted Alicia getting tortured by that other expedition though.
wholesome esquie
everyone loves him
they forget about the mushroom journal where he and verso trick the expedition into eating poisoned mushrooms
We've switched to "stop shilling this game!!" to "maelle did literally nothing wrong, canvas people are real". They knew they had to move goalposts lmao
Half of them is the same singular schizo shitposting and baiting, granted, but still pretty nice.
You don't understand, they have diasbilities in the real world, so you MUST be subjected to their every whim.
muh media literacy
fucking LMAO, it all makes sense now
Why would they even play/watch any fictional entertainment in the first place lel
what if the Writers are literally a stand-in for the germans
they had no free will
Take your fucking medicine retard.
The shitposters having melties about the game don't know enough to argue about the philosophical implications of the ending.
He was filling more whoooo that day

muh made-up scenarios
how's that HRT?
I believe they're not fake. I also believe in God and his supremacy over my existence, which I am not entitled to. I submit to God as he is my creator.

What anons in here are 30-33? Imagine you wasting the last few months of your life, posting on an image board. Did you learn nothing? You should be out there, enjoying the little life you have left. Don't waste it here.
The family story is very nice, but I would have liked the universe of the expeditions better. Finding out all the things they tried, their story, their lore, the mysteries they discovered, and the sense of legacy. It was more interesting to me. Imagine a mechanic you could get interesting powerups by finding out more about them/
underage found E33 threads
You're so fucking retarded it hurts to read, how old are you? 16? That's the only way you could write this kind of drivel believing it makes sense

OH NO NO NO NO NO ESL PAJEET?!
If you knew what age your friends/siblings and you would die, how would you change your life anons?
play the piano
I'm 32. I would have been toast by those hands at the dark shore so fast
verso says he watched over maelle without her ever suspecting (yes, before the gommage too)
and also used to live in lumiere and frequent it
therefore he must've known that gustave is her guardian
so he helped gustave escape this one time
which is why he woke up alone pretty far away from the dark shores - verso dragged him there and went into the shadows again
then you can see verso trailing gustave and lune as they enter manor where maelle and curator are
Verso did it, Esquie is just too loyal.
I got a new keyboard and my fingers are not adapted to it yet :(
yup
then he lets gustave die on purpose because he's a rat.
Don't you remember what Esquie himself sad? He can be sad and he can be BAD, but he can never be mad.
Well, if I myself was the cause of my faily member's drug addition, first thing I would've done would be some serious self-reflection.
His pain was real; his despair was real
appeal to emotion
get scrub'd, fag
I honestly just see the ratio of maella/verso posters and I pretend to be the opposite of whoever has less posters in the thread just to encourage more ragebait
you should lie down and accept death because I'd also kneel and accept death from the cosmologically superior because muh Yahweh
Cuck.
Gustave would have not stood for this, he'd spend his life working on the Lumina converter just to give his people a chance.
well, gustave is a tranny. he lets maelle shit all over him in the prologue and just laughs it off. then he lets lune do the same, and only afterwards he gains the ability to raise his voice and act as the lead. fuck him. verso is the chad.
Sure, you should self-reflect, after you destroy the source.
I mean, I guess Verso already fucks Monoco so...
but gustave and people of lumiere is not real they are fake!
tricks
Esquie thought they were edible because Verso never had issues eating them
submitting to god is "cucked"
Maelle's ending is the rebellious teenager ending.
asking for science but could dogs actually take it? do they really stretch out like that to adapt for human sized penis?
I wonder what he would have thought if he knew his whole world was fake and a byproduct of a mourning mother
My guess is, he would keep pushing forward to give everyone around him a better life, fake or not. That's how good he was
maelle fag here, i just want to marry lune
thanks for reading this
The vapid French family of cruel demiurges are not gods to be worshipped.
Peak copium, esquie is a murderer and would have done the same to exp 33
Long story short, yes. And that in fact seems to have been the dynamic he had going since Monoco opts to be the little spoon in the mix.
Nah, Verso is the edgelord rebellion ending. Explains why so many people choose it.
Agreed. But if your were in Renoir or Versos shoes, would you really sit back and watch half of your family commit suicide just to save some strangers? I wouldnt.
Submission isn't worship. As creators, they are supreme over their creation.
Versofaga are okay with genocide
Verso deserves no forgiveness and his opinions should never hold any weight for the simple fact that he betrayed this precious Cinnamon rolls trust, so much so that she didn't even acknowledge him as family anymore.
Maelle wins by default.
you should lie down and accept death because I'd also kneel and accept death from the cosmologically superior because muh Yahweh
I wish the game, if you picked verso, had you fight the human expeditioners. A 3 v 1, making Verso the boss battle character you play as.
Smothering your baby isn't moral just because it submits to you, it can't fight back and is your creation.
Well first of all it's not Painted Verso's actual family so that doesn't apply.
But second of it, if I knew the thing my family is killing themselves on is basically just a clutch and the actual thing they need to fix is their shitty toxic communication and hatred for each other, yeah, I would definitely try to save the strangers first and make them see reason.
It’s not a baby it’s a fetus and it’s my right not to provide for it
Sciel wouldn't have bothered because she has made peace with death already, but as Verso you should have had to run your sword through Lune. No petals bullshit, kill her by your hand.
nta
from his ass, but anon above wasn't qeustioning it, just the way it's written
it would be cool if the ending is verso and monoco vs maelle, lune and sciel
You conflate metaphysical creation with biological procreation. Your baby is a continuity of yourself within your existence, while your creations are an existence which you are not bound to.
Abortion is murder.
Damn you didn't kill yourself?
I'm not talking about fetuses though, but a literal child after birth.
it's not Painted Verso's actual family so that doesn't apply.
It is to him, and Aline is by all accounts his only mother.
She deserved her new beginning, her birth by sleep
my cute wife Alice
No it isn't. He has decided to see it that way, but he himself morally bickers at Renoir about how Alicia and the outside people are not their family.
He can be a hypocrite and turncoat several times, but his mental instability and traitorous beehaviour are not excused for it.
He has had +100 years to come to terms with who he is and who his family actually is.
He betrayed his sister, killed his fater, and ultimately ended up causing all the traumas in Alicia's head to double up setting up Gustave to die.
In short, he made everyone's lives worse and helped in no way but sowing discord and harm. The rest pulled through in spite of him.
Gustave also was ready to forgo the entire expedition to save Maelle. Despite constantly talking about how important it was to continue on, he dropped that shit the second his family was threatened. If asked (the Gustave we know, not puppet Gustave), there's a very good chance he'd tell Alicia to get out of the canvas to save her and her family.
fagot
this. the game subvert your expectation and asks you to not care about what happend in act 1 and 2. Afterward the painted people don't even question any existential crisis.
Why should I care?
I want to steal her Esquie plushy
They are mourning verso, otherwise all this wouldnt have happened, also he somehow sacrificed himself to save alicia, and with all that and how his family talks about him they loved him. He is the firstborn son of their prestigious family so he most likely has very high standards to meet to defend hus family
For Julie yeah. I agree. At least he showed some genuine regret. Not that it excuses anything. I really liked the voice acting on that one
killed his fater
How?
She would probably kill herself if you did that. She's probably holding on by a thread at that point.
Sciel is in fight but just skips turn
Lune always crits
Would be kino
Alicia (Satan) repainted them. They dont question because she doesn't question.
to be fair they were about to be vanquished by a mysterious giant lady, so the perception of their own existence was already pretty fucked.
By leading the party towards the paintress using the Curator, who he knows is the Real Renoir, beating the shit out of Painted Renoir, then having Maelle gomnmage the guy?
Alicia has to live a life being a fucking cripple with no voice and a fucked up face with no friends and a family that blames her for her brothers death and the guilt of all that. I do believe Renoir cares about Alicia but Clea and Aline are completely different beasts. Call it delusion but I don’t blame people for choosing the Maelle ending.
There's a good chance Gustave could actually convince her because he was genuine unlike that self-obsessed twat Verso
Nice headcanon, but the side quests show Clea is not the bitch you make her to be, and the reality check that hit Aline could very well change her attitude.
then having Maelle gomnmage the guy?
So Maelle killed him.
No, the Curator did, using Maelle, which Verso used to get to the paintress, in full awareness of what would happen.
You can play retarded however you want, but if you set a gun to go off when a door is opened, it is in fact neither the door nor the guy opening it who killed the person.
4ch paints gustave:
HE WAS READY TO SAVE THE WORLD
gustranny in reality:
The world weighed on my shoulders, pressing down until my breath was just a whisper. I fought, I clawed, I begged the heavens for mercy. But the stars remained silent, and the moon turned its face away. And so, here I stand, stripped bare of hope, yet something within me refuses to crumble. Is it defiance? Is it foolishness? Or is it simply the ember of a soul unwilling to fade? If this is my defeat, let it be the kind that sings, let it be the kind that lingers in the echoes of t-AAAAAAAAAAAAACK.
side quests show Clea is not the bitch you make her to be
Lmao. Anyone who could look at the people of the painting and equate them to toys you can discard when tired of is not someone anyone should associate with.
Verso never wanted to paint at all. He wanted to be a musician
the Curator did, using Maelle
What was special about Maelle that made her able to gommage the immortal clones that Renoir couldn't?
Verso killed his father
Maelle actually gommaged him
No the curator did
Make up your mind.
in full awareness of what would happen
Absolute nonsense.
brownoid incapable of understanding the kino of fighting to the bitter end
>in the end you just erase it anyway just so the Dessendre family can get over their grief and Verso could rest
I never did something this mentally deranged, however. Verso played the piano and the Dessendre fucked off. Sounds like a (You) issue.
I accept your concession.
damn shame the gameplay is so fucking dogshit it makes the game unplayable.
What's with the White Sands area? It reminded me of this track from Fata Morgana.
youtube.com
Kek you lost, anon
It's just speculation, but the curator really couldn't do much on his own while renoir was trapped beneath the monolith, and that would imply he doesn't have the power to gommage people at will (as he was being blocked by aline's power). Maelle was not bound by their fight though, so she could do it if someone showed her the ropes
Who knows. It's a valid question. Presumably he never managed to reach them/weaken them enough prior hand? But that doesn't seem to be a necessity any other time, so I guess just plot convolution.
fighting to the bitter end
AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few
I'ts a quote from a famous painter
I eat thousands of animals per year
Thats sounds like a lot of animals
nah kill the painting. Not real, very gay.
You wouldn't get it.
Verso knew that it wasn't the paintress and his family that was doing the gommage and he held it from Maelle and the party even going so far as to ignore his real sisters pleads to at least tell them the truth.
how about you kys tranny
If Painters can just paint infinite souls into existence in any painting they want, then souls are meaningless in this setting since they're infinite and disposable.
start a new save. listen to the opening moments before you go down to meet sophie. he is the ultimate cuckold who could never defend himself even if his life depended on it.
what's with the mansion just sitting there?
I do believe Renoir cares about Alicia
There is a long way between caring and being supportive. You can still care about your loved one, yet still verbally abuse her under the pretense of "tough love". But I do agree that Alicia drew the short staw in Verso's ending. For me this family is too dysfunctional to help her with her traumas. And I am convinced that the second Renoir is gone the whole thing is going to fall apart.
She just thinks bullying disguised as tough love is an answer for everything. Clea's toxic to the core, because she herself is an overachiever with low self-esteem and she uses bullying others to prop herself up. And that one WASN'T caused by Verso's death.
I for one am rooting for Alicia leaving her family home behind and never looking back.
whole place is a fuckin ARG
come back in 6 months. the translations we have of the rap arent 1:1 either.
Writers are right.
I understand it as curator teaching Maelle how to gommage so she could do it to paintress.
i loved the game but the writers didn't handle the plot with the grace they should have. maelle should have been the one fighting for the canvas' right to live.
Chroma is clearly a limited source of energy with a "cap" to it, though. So that is not accurate.
nd the reality check that hit Aline could very well change her attitude.
The thing is, they don't hit at t this at all.
They just skip to them visiting a grave and that's it. That's where the majority of the problems lie in this fucking game. THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO GOT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT ARE THE ONLY FUCKING PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T MATTER BECAUSE THEY WERE "FAKE" PEOPLE.
It's trash.
not someone you should associate
lmao you're cancelling her or something? She shows her approval and respect for her sister once you beat the endless tower
Nothing wrong with it if nobody in the painting is real except you
Your existence is meaningless, though. Does that mean I should be allowed to kill you at leisure?
All of the painters are deranged and a ticking bomb
The whole plot of exp 33 happens because they lost ONE (1) child and couldn't move on. Imagine the things they can do if they get depressed because of other things. I don't even know why the writers try to attack them; they are more than capable of killing themselves on their own
Cope + seethe + you are brown.
anon finds out you can torture your sims
While real Alicia is living her Final Fantasy
It really depends on if the painters can bring painted creation into the real world. Then shit would get really weird.
chroma is limited
clea heals herself for 50 minutes straight through the power of chroma
then uses the same fucking chroma to summon infinite amount of goblins
simon has infinite chroma too because i spent 20 hours there and he kept using it
If God can just bring infinite souls into existence in any creation he wants, then souls are meaningless in this setting since they're infinite and disposable.
Not into this conversation, but to be fair she more goes,
"There you finally had fun you fucking failure.
Anyway. Our parents are garbage you owe them nothing, do whatever you want until you stop having fun, then go do something else. Live your life already or whatever."
So it's like, sound advice. But not exactly respect.
Doesn't necessarily have to be that way. Do we know if they can push non-painters into their painted worlds? That's a whole other story
No, what's insinuated here is that Verso somehow planned for the Curator to show up when confronting painted Renoir (which he never did in all their previous confrontations) and somehow have the ability to kill painted Renoir through Maelle (why would you even think that?). It's nonsense.
So did Alicia paint all the Lumiereians? Since the canvas was initially Verso's, I would've expected him to paint them, but it looks like instead he just did the gestrals, Monoco, and Esquie. Clea painted the nevrons and presumably Franfran so I wouldn't think she'd bother with normal people. From my understanding, it looks like Renoir just made the 4 axons and then some of the weirder nevrons like aberration and creation. I guess the question is why fucking bother with making generic people?
Alicia, you need to stop being a useless wrigger-lover
Clea seems nice.
She can paint other stuff
Aline made generic people. Alicia most likely grabbed their floating chromas after renoir destroyed everything and brought them back, potentially with some alterations (to their memories)
Verso does say "we only need to incapacitate him", I don't think he wanted to kill his dad
Are you retarded? Even if he didn't plan it at that moment (which he definitely knew was a possibility because it's a fucking painter and he just made the barrier destroyer for them), it's happening seconds after. Because he would have freed Renoir. Who obviously Painted Renoir would go fight the moment he tried to erase the canvas.
Do you know what would happen then?
His father would die. Because of the exact same thing.
Aline made the people of Lumiere, presumably as a backdrop of her fake painted family.
Maelle turn the paint in her own dollhous devoid of free will.
It's fucking hell
Verso
Esquie
Monoco
Noco
Gestrals
Grandis
Aline
Lumierans
Painted versions of her family
Renoir
Axons
Clea
Nevrons
Verso does say
lol, imagine trusting a word he says.
potentially with some alterations (to their memories)
>There have always been 5 Gustavs
>Maelle's Gustav harem is normal
>I will not question Maelle's Gustav harem
yeah... some alterations
expecting moderation on Anon Babble
lol
lmao
Because he and Renoir can't be killed.
So from what I understand ITT is that:
Maellefags are trannies who are here just to stir up shit;
Versochads are normal straight people who show interest for the game and indisputably agree its the canon ending
We only need to incapacitate him
... So that Renoir can kill him once we send mom back and we free him :)
He wouldn't need to destroy it if she could show that she can you it responsibly
So he didn't plan for Renoir to show up and gommage painted Renoir right?
Don't blame her, I would make a Gustave harem myself in her position.
I feel like the people who wrote this has never been depressed because they lost someone in a freak accident/murder before. The obsession with the painted world makes sense, the obsession with using it as a form of escapism makes sense, but removing that form of escapism doesn't suddenly make people feel better. They would still be depressed as shit trying to find another outlet, sometimes even through self harm. They quite literally all needed a shrink. But that's not what happens in the Verso ending.
Again, he didn't kill his father. You can argue that he planned to save his mother at the cost of the rest of his family, but he never killed his father.
Nobody ever talks about the free aim mechanic. Is that not something unique to this game? Towards the end where all fights were one shots, I appreciated being able to spam bullets to end fights instead of the slower attack animations.
there are no happy endings in this game but verso's is probably the better outcome as the canvas would get erased in maelle's ending when she dies from staying in there too long anyway
aline painted all the immortal family members
yet aline does not recognize verso
yet renoir thinks he's aline's creation
Amogus? Sussy baka? Senpai?
Oh alright then. I guess the writers never killed Verso and crippled Alicia.
They saved Paris at the cost of them. Gotta get Clea's facts right.
I think so. Even something like tossing him off the monolith would have worked since they just needed time to confront the paintress.
This was 1905 though so people didn't really have easily accessible means(other than magical paintings) to escape from the world like they do today.
Painted beings are as real as the ones who painted them??
That's the most retarded thing i heard since yesterday
Verso ending is the midwit ending. Real Maellechads pick it because the Dessendre family deserves to suffer and pay the price for playing God.
That's like saying Maelle's ending is better because at least she won't kill herself immediately after visiting Verso's grave over the grief of losing her entire Canvas family and the world she grew up in for half of her memories.
Assumptions make for bad arguments.
Bitch acted crazy during paintress fight, probably because she spent 67 years sitting on the monolith. She didn't even recognise Maelle.
Based Writerchad
so just to be sure I understood, Real Renoir/Curator was freed from being locked under the monolith because Paintress/Aline was defeated by the party right?
what the fuck are you babbling about?
So it's not fair to accuse Verso of killing painted Renoir as that other anon did.
retard
Sorry, I should have assumed you are terminally retarded.
Moving goalposts. I can show you a whole cutscene showing frame by frame who killed painted Renoir. Hint: It's not Verso.
Aline is a little more distracted by the lookalike of her daughter and her desire to shove Maelle's face into a fire just like she did Painted Alicia's.
no you're a fucking retard
what assumptions did I make?
theres an entire council/group of people that have the same powers and some are probably as fucked up as the people on this basket weaving forum or worse.
BAN ALL PAINTERS
You tried.
Correct. They were mostly at a stalemate but she got booted when she was defeated. The Renoir from the first half of the game was one Alicia painted, which is why he tries to cuck the party from beating her.
off topic but htat will never happen. Just like an hot-air balloon will never evolve enough to fly in space.
It's just one of the many steps that will grant foundation to future stuff that maybe will lead to actual AI (not a given).
Like the process that liks the invention of the wheel to the invention of the starship
verso's ending shows her and even aline moving on with their grief which is the entire theme of the game you fucking imbecile
there are no assumptions to be made - in her ending it even shows her fucked up face because of being in there too long so she's 100% gonna die and the canvas will be destroyed by the family because clea says in the fucking game it would be better that way
t. esteemed member of the Writers guild
ignore the retard
Verso romances the girls while planing to kill them all
This is just sick. Girls probably got wet to this though.
fucks your hebe daughter
firebombs your fucking home
god damn writers are crazy
verso's ending shows her and even aline moving on with their grief which is the entire theme of the game you fucking imbecile
They didn't show shit, to be honest. You don't go from 100 to 0 in grief just because an object of obsession gets destroyed. If anything you'll mentally get worse for a while before you get better.
nah i'd rather confront the retard and call him out
100% lmao
when you attack her with Lune or Sciel and she goes like "Who the fuck are you?"
The Lumierians really were created as random NPCs to act as background noise for her insanity
gamergate lmao
oh no someone poked the versoschizo and his samefag factory. abandon thread.
They didn't show shit
they literally show the family actually being together and Renoir with his arm around Aline
of course Clea walks off first because she's the first to move on and we see the squad disappear in front of Alicia as a sign of her moving on
i swear this board is filled with fucking retards
b-but muh theeeemes
lol, lmao even
It's the last jedi midwits all over again.
They show their very first step towards recovery. They have more work to do, but they'll be fine.
yep clea is a chadette
Read the rest of the post.
You do not go from 100 to 0 in grief just because an object of obsession is gone. The ending in itself is fucking ridiculous because visiting his grave and smiling and being happy is also not how things work.
great argument imbecile
but they'll be fine
and the fucked up part is they don't really deserve to be
Please! Spare ONE thread from your mental illness! Just one! Aieeeeeeee
fuck off tard
Exactly. All the people of Lumiere, the party (except Verso) and the Maelle layer of Alicia were all gommaged and repainted as close enough by Alicia.
I'll forgive them if they find a way to get rid of their powers for good. It's no wonder that it all unraveled the moment tragedy struck the family, as is bound to happen in life. We're unfit to wield this power.
nobody said they immediately moved on fucknut - clea is the only one
see
would you rather live a depressed life where you "totally moved on" and die a 50 year old kissless virgin or just do fenty for the next 5 years in your god world?
You are a 90IQ brainlet.
There is no argument.
I said my part.
I feel like the people who wrote this has never been depressed because they lost someone in a freak accident/murder before.
Yeah, that's how I feel as well. Or they never had to deal with disability or had a relative with one. Because the game naively assumes that once we deal with grief, suddenly everything will get better. But this family's issues are much deeper rooted than that.
Also, the game REALLY isn't interested in providing an argument as to how exactly Alicia is supposed to deal with her disabilities, it just dismisses it with "it'll be fine, somehow". And that is something Alicia herself keep bringing up time and time again.
I guess Verso tells her that she can create another world to live in, which would be a decent advice... if it wasn't for the fact that literally 5 minutes ago Renoir had an entire rant about how escapism will kill you. So that argument gets defeated almost immediately.
Also, let's not even bring up the fact that the Alicia who returned the from canvas isn't exactly the Alicia Dessandres know, but an amalgamation of their daughter and some other girl with a whole different set of memories and experiences.
why do schizos like you always project your mental illness?
fuck off if you have nothing of value to contribute you fucking child
And yet here you are, still here.
nobody said they immediately moved on fucknut
They also don't say they don't. They neither show nor tell any actual recovery. They just immediately jump to them already feeling better.
fuck off retard
nta but stop posting
you're making a fool of yourself
Let me break it down for you!
Brainlet.
holy fuck you're stupid
Uh-huh.
You are utterly clueless if you think Renoir smiling in relief over having his wife back is "ridiculous"
you literally didn't understand what the scene was trying to convey
Well, now you are just being sad. Speaking of knowing when to let go.
maellefags are so stupid it's unreal
fuck off retard
let go of your life lmao
You are utterly clueless
pretty much
he showed that back several posts now
/thread
you're a fucking dumbasd
dumbasd
yes
Or just talk about the Star Trek transporter clone paradox.
What the Star Trek teleporter would be considered death and cloning by any possiuble metric, but the worlbuilding specifically asks you to treat it as not death with suspension of disbelief.
E33 worldbuilding doesn't, and since only what is on screen matters, we are stuck with two possibilities: either they are fairly accurate copies, or that doesn't really affect them, which makes them not real people. But since the worlduilding asks you to consider them real people in their bubble wolrd, then it's the other option.
inb4 it doesn't mean anything lmao
hurr durr stop making assumptions
This thread is emphasizing the strong correlation between Versofaggotry and the thinly veiled fetishization of troons with every other post. Makes sense. They are all bottoms and want their boipucci filled to the brim with Verso's paint. Just cut your dick off already anon, it's 2025. You're never reproducing anyway. Take some piano lessons too. You'll feel better.
Monoco said you can't bring the actual Noco back, only a "fairly accurate copy" as you described. He says explicitly that the Noco we knew is gone. Maelle's ending is just a puppet world.
You didn't play the game.
Alicia reaches out for Lune and Sciel's chroma to bring them back. She didn't just conjures them from any chroma. Alicia states she can bring others back if only she had their chroma.
exactly
Gestral reincarnation has nothing in common with painters retard.
maelle's ending is more entertaining but it's definitely the """bad""" ending because the family is still fucked and she's turning into aline
bringing back child verso to watch punished verso perform is beyond fucked up
anyone who sides with maelle must be a psychotic woman or tranny
Sounds like cope to me
I wish there was actual discussion.
It's just a battle between shills and retard too stupid to understand a story.
Or otherwise is battle between normal people and 80 IQs
It hits bump limit like snyder movies did. Hitting the bump limit is not a proof of greatness
i'm sure this is okay lol
and tendies will keep seething
nobody cares about the new doom lmao
Are pretending to be an actual diagnosed retard or what? Who is painting gestrals when they reincarnate? Who collects their chroma and brings them back from it? Which Dessendre family member does it? Tell me. Dumbfuck.
Gestrals who "break" and can be reincarnated via the "sacred river" as per Verso's painted lore is not the same as a Human/Lumerian being reconstructed with chroma after being Gommage'd. Why are you fucking retards like this?
Holy cope
Exactly
Kek another tard mind broken
45mins video essay
I don't know what to tell you anon, most people can clearly see that it's a game about grief and that Verso's ending is the proper way to deal with it. Remember that you're on Anon Babble and that's why you find fringe retards. There's a schizo who keeps posting about Gustave inviting Alicia to kill herself in Verso's ending. That's just this board.
Yes. You are coping, you illiterate retard.
