Actually, you need atleast 2000 mods to make it good. It becomes one of the greatest RPGs ever with mods. It's definetly a commitment, but it's worth it.

It's fine without mods for first playthrough. I do highly recommend at least SkyUI though.
When you're ready to mod, just do quality of life stuff and maybe some graphics mods. Some of the spell packs are nice too.
Don't waste your time with combat mods. They all make the game even worse.

Yeah but they aren't great. There's cunny specific animations, which is good, but they're tied to sexlab, an outdated and inferior animation framework. Every kid has a replacer model, which is good, but they all follow a pseudo-anime aesthetic.
There's other issues but I wont get into them. For those reasons I go to Skyrim for big boobs, impregnation and rape more than for loli.

Fast travel kills these types of games. Using the survival mod and not having fast travel except with carriages to major cities, and having immersive random encounters rocks

This is one of those popular games that you really don't need to play. The story is bad, the gameplay is bad, and the only praised aspect is the "exploration" which gets stale very quickly because of boring level design. Dark Souls (came out the same year) is much better and an actual gaming masterpiece. Even Dragon's Dogma (came out a year later) is 10x more fun.

Good in VR with mods. I just prefer to simulate shooting while I wear wrist weights. My shooting skills, and muscles, are improving.
