I liked the elegant solution to every class having its own story while also re-using assets.

In terms of atmosphere I still think Throne of Darkness came the closet to Diablo. It was also the first of these games I remember REALLY drowning you in loot. I wish there was a sequel to flesh out some ideas.

Warrior in wizard town was a joke, all they did was run and all you had to do is harpoon and charge them to one shot them. Its was more like an annoyance than anything chasing them all down when they proved no threat.
Where as going as a wizard to the warrior town was rough since you could be one shot even through barrier, and they would chase you down and harpoon you.

Depends on what you mean by "worse". Inter-faction hostility sucks major arse after you learn about the game's world and have to see (and unwillingly participate in) the tragedy firsthand. As for difficulty or maybe tedium everything pales in comparison to the swamp and everyone goes through that green hell like with Fields of Valour (which are fun).
Warrior really could have used some more abilities. He's fun to play but the other two classes have more fun things for variety.

Grim Dawn lets me be a magic gunslinger that shoots bullets made of fire and lightning which makes it the best by default.

Only really good in bombers with Stun or if you're willing to very carefully manage casting it directly (just remember that only one fist can be active at a time so either a bomber will fail or your direct spell). Force of Nature is way better if you do it right. But you get it pretty late.

Oh yea you can't go wrong. Honestly warrior is probably the best to start with to get used to the game since you only have like 5 abilities. And gets more complex with other classes. Luckily each class has a unique story and some of the areas are different unless its like a main questline thing. Also make sure to talk to all the NPCs to get side quests.

Yeah, it is. I felt way more immersed in Nox as a kid than I did in Diablo 2. It being my first isekai helped with that, but the shadowy lighting and the cool spells like hand of death and the cute little goblin guys that threw stones and the comfy swamps were also factors.
