Any discussion about strong characters or a good story is immediately thrown out the window when this fucker is on screen. I was actually going to capitulate that I tried 4 recently and thus most little tone setting details from the PSP game were lost on me, but then I remembered this fuckin guy. Yeah no, game sucks.

I still remember flipping my shit at my friend for how vanilla 5 (the one I played) ends, with it being complete Gnostic nonsense of "ooough humanity needs to rebel against God using the 7 deadly sins!!!!!" (Joker literally summons Satan-el and shoots Y'ballin'doh with a 7 Deadly Sins bullet) (I'm a hard-core Catholic and think Gnosticism is gay, so I just interpreted it as the protagonist summoning the devil and killing God because free will lul)
I endured anime bullshit for the good cases in Danganronpa and Zero Escape, I could do it for the cute girls and not-actively-terrible turn based RPG combat (very high praise coming from me) in Persona.

But the entirety of p5 is just teddie on steroids. They have an even more obnoxious mascot character.

Morgana is one of the weakest team members from a character perspective, but I never found him actively grating. Imo he was just constantly malding because he's the only non human in the party of humans, so he's got a manlet complex on overdrive. Teddy doesn't have that, he's just all bubbly. Reminds me of my cousin, a total failure raised by a landwhale of a single mom. Why do the male characters in the Persona games wear towels during the hot spring scenes? Single gender and mixed gender onsens in Japan require men and boys to be completely naked and only let women and girls cover up with towels and robes.
