It heavily relies on it's implementation. Some games are fine, others have been worse off by it. On average, the performance loss is about 3-4%. Obviously, since Denuvo doesn't do anything for the consumer and only serves to prevent piracy, it's considered a non-acceptable loss by some. While other just shrug it off. Games that draw heavy on the CPU do get a bigger performance loss.
All in all, it's unneeded cancer that only serves the corps and is marginally harmful to the consumer or end product. I have a good rig and I don't really pirate so I'm generally not affeced by any performance loss but I still think it's a shit tool that should be banned from use since it's by default consumer unfriendly and yet another bullshit anti piracy method that relies on central servers while we already have Steam and all sorts of different launchers tied to games.
