Why are there no rpg games in the Dune universe?

role playing game games

aren't most of the powers and abilities in dune just things like commanding others and what not? seems boring.

Yes. Imagine a From game where you fight against spice monstrosities.

The little sister of Paul is supernaturally skilled with knives

I don't get the story of dune at all.
How is it good?
Are people just enjoying the world and ignoring the shit story?

go poo on a street pajeet

Morrowind

Indians took Timmy’s worthless job :(

there is no dune universe

there is a dune universe

Sir

>seems boring

Mentats are living computer and sensors, could make a detective game pretty easily.

Suks are legendary-tier doctor & surgeons, can slap any melee healslut gameplay on one.

Weapon Masters are borderline supernatural fighters, literally can do any random action game with whatever combat style and fighting bullshit you could imagine.

Bene Gesserit have space kung-fu and happily cross past the "borderline supernatural" threshold when it come to mobility and combat bullshit.

The last 3 could easily be used to reskin any standard action-rpg.
The huge melee focus with light-ish supernatural scream Nioh-like to me.

Just like Frank while he wrote it, you need to read/watch it while doing massive ammounts of cocaine.
Other than that, it was the first more complete and intresting Sci-Fi of it's time that everyone else tried to then copy.

2nd best, dune2000 exists. i can fap to both.

How would you implement Dune's melee into a videogame?

I think Dune sucks

can you fuck your sister?

The books are garbage though, absolutely awful prose.

Because Dune is for nihilistic shitlib losers and is actually a faggy book series. “Waaaaahhhhh you aren’t supposed to idolize great leaders! Objective morality doesn’t le exist!”. Tolkien rightly demolished it.

I need a father figure because I'm too scared to grow up

I played this game long before I knew what Dune was. So when i watched it for the first time with my father I was like "wait a minute... I know these people" and my dad asked if i had seen dune before and I just told him I had some vauge knowledge. Little did he know...

The only way to make a RPG is to play as a noble house member. Otherwise the entire setting is build around toiling your designated at birth job and dying never even leaving the city section you were born in.

Paul isn't a great leader. He's just a eternal child that used his powers for revenge and unleashing on the galaxy a bunch of religious fanatics that killed trillions of innocent humans.

name a better use of his abilities than killing the people who killed his family

The people that did that were dead by the end of the first book. Yet he still went on to murder innocent people for fun.

innocent

What? How were they innocent at all?

yes

It's basic as hell and everything it ended up inspiring have done more interesting things with its concepts.

with mouse swings like die by the sword
you have to actually slow down your attacks and change pace mid swing to be able to get past shields

Because he indulged into the Fremen ideology that everyone that isn't fremen has to die. So people that had nothing to do with anything got bombed to death.

Paul is a based cold psycho who swindles an antire race of desert retards into being his army as he becomes the emperor of the galaxy and they die for him in droves.
Then he huffs too much space mech and becomes a worm.

I don't see how this is a controversial story. Yeah, the kikes in power want you to die for their interests, no shit.

Pual dies like a cuck to his own psychopath priests.

Which book even is this, third? I'm mostly talking about book 1. He does take over the galaxy, so eh, he did better than most. I don't personally "love" him, but I like the type. Cunts like him are rarely the main characters

Then he huffs too much space mech and becomes a worm.

That's not Paul, that's his son: Leto II.

Paul is a based cold psycho

His son had to do it because Paul saw the amount of suffering needed for the Golden Path and chickened out.

The crusade swept across all known planets Anon, it was a bloodthirsty killing of all who didn't bow to the Fremen way, it was Paul's greatest fear and the tragedy of Paul is that he knew it was coming and was powerless to stop it

Book one is the story of Paul and the dangers of messiahs
Book two is the aftermath and the breaking of Paul
Book three is strange in that Leto arguably plots a more tyrannic future but it's clearly objectively the right thing to do and also Paul dies miserably
Book four is the end of Leto's reign and explores how he sets up his own end and the future of humanity
Book five is sloppy Duncan anal with bene gesserit
Book six is sloppy Duncan anal with bene gesserit but also lesbians and killer vagina ladies

What the fuck happened between 4 and 5

>because I'm too scared to grow up

Worse. Because he's a spiritual manlet. If the "man" part even applies.

its a sci fi story you read for fun, not for its critic assessment of values and society
don't be a retard, consider the source before elevating art
tolkien's criticism of society is so dumb its not even brought up seriously anymore, but its a fun story and its well written, that's all that matters about it

because it's a boring universe
