Does the same apply to the competitive gaming scene?

Does the same apply to the competitive gaming scene?

not really true to its own series even

Hard Work is great!

No, having fun is.

Baki clearly enjoying all his genetic advantages, because eugenics, yay!

Yes, someone who enjoys the game no matter what will always grind while someone who's desperate for wins and status will get burned out.

IMG_9255.png - 690x650, 165.55K

yeah if a 15 year old martial artist can go up against a group of soldiers in cqc combat, you know something is up

If you work, you lose!

If somebody who works hard beats somebody who enjoys himself, then each one considers himself the winner and everybody had a good time!

The whole point of this panel is that talent is the most important thing to succeed in any activity which is true irl.

I hate Manga like this.

"Hey, who's gonna win the next fight? A Hanma."

No, the context is that Baki enjoys fighting to the point he is training 24/7 (literally and metaphysically), which is what truly makes him strong.

It's nip self fellatio.

muh jap genes

Talent is bullshit. It doesn't exist.
Nepotism is more prevalent today than at any other time in history. It doesn't take skill or talent or even competence to attain a high-ranking position in the very vast majority of fields.
Sports are basically outliers because as a player you need to be skilled, but you will never become good if you don't play. So persistence and consistency is the most important thing, which has nothing to do with talent. Nobody ever became the best soccer player after their first time playing. That shit only happens in anime (Not real life).

Rock Lee destroyed an entire generation of anime watchers. He convinced them all that all shonen anime is about talent vs hard work. Rock Lee was a mistake.

Explain. All the top tiers in the series are zen buddhist fags.

Reminder that Baki's dad was taken down by a bunch of no names with tranq darts. Talent and hard work are nothing in the face of surprise motherfucker.

Fuck, wrong reply

Naruto's original schtick was "I work hard and can compete against those that have natural bloodlines and talent." Then it turns out that Naruto has those too. Bleach too. One Piece too.

Now, hold on there. You're forgetting something important.

They also had a big net.

Talent certainly exists, retard, whether talented people are rewarded by the system with high ranking positions is a whole different discussion.

Don't forget the doorknob.

All I'm getting from this, is that making Porn/Ecchi Games pisses off the people in power and as such, we need to make more Porn/Ecchi Games.

It's okay when america does it.

Whoops, sorry. I have multiple threads up.

False

This seems like bullshit.
If you enjoy the game and don't work hard your ass will never make it out of low elo.

But if I enjoy it then I'll work hard

Where do you draw the line between skills obtained by working hard and the mentality of enjoyment? You can't.

Talent is bullshit. It doesn't exist.

Oh yeah? So go and run as fast as Usain Bolt. G and lift as much as Eddie Hall. Go and swim as fast Caeleb Dressel. Talent doesn't exist, so clearly all you have to do is work just as hard as they did, right?

Okay. Who would you say is an example of talent. NBA players? Which ones? CEOs? Name me ONE.

Nowadays Yujiro would see those darts being fired, in slow motion, expression unchanging, while the text rambles on about some bullshit about the speed of a bullet compared to a dart somehow being faster because the arrow-like shape of a dart "helps it pierce the air to achieve super sonic speed" and then go on a tangent of

With these many darts, catching them would be impossible. Because humans only have two hands. Yes, only two. A simple numbers game that doesn't lie.

but these hands possess a hidden weapon: fingers. More notably, the FLEXIBILITY of fingers. With each finger you can apply pressure to "squeeze", "grip", and "bind" things, just as a hand normally does.

Therefore, if one were to use the "flexibility of fingers" efficiently...

He would instead have "TEN HANDS"!

And then Yujiro would catch all the darts in the middles of his fingers, mouth, feet, and somehow his ass, and say "That was even slower than the shit I took last night!!!!!!"
I fucking HATE BAKI.

What was the other thread? That post sorta fits ITT

Porn/Ecchi Games = people enjoying themselves

AAA slop = no fun allowed corporate tryhards

Usain Bolt literally spent his whole fucking life running. Eddie Hall is a fucking steroids abuser.
You literally proved his fucking point lmao

It is unreal to me that people don't think talent exists after so many prodigies over the years.
Yes hard work is needed to properly foster talent, that doesn't mean that god given innate skills don't exist.

No, and not even in real life. No amount of having fun will make you skilled. Unless you specifically focus on what you're doing wrong and right, and try to intentionally improve, you're not get better.

As for talent, it only denotes how much you get out of training. If you don't train at all, an untalented person will still be better than you. But only then; training can overcome talent only when that talent is untrained; trained talent is unbeatable except by even greater trained talent.

They never gave up and kept going until they beat the competition. That's not talent that's persistence which is an actually tangible thing. Talent is not real. Persistence is. Talent implies you're just good. Persistence implies you keep going until you get to where you want to be.
What about that is so confusing? You can't get good unless you keep training and challenging yourself. How else are you going to improve? Doing mental gymnastics? Lol.

And what about all the countless other athletes who spent their whole lives running, what about all the other dedicated powerlifters who use steroids? What about them, anon? Why haven't they reached the same level, huh? Did Bolt and Eddie cast magic spells on themselves that let them reach higher levels than their peers despite not working any harder? Is magic real?

Why can't I just shot him during 0.5 second unconsciousness or whatever

He knows you are there idiot

What if I ambush him?

This one.

The world is full of people who are 'talented' but never attain their full potential. Only the ones who never give up are the ones you hear about. Or cheaters, there's plenty of those today unfortunately.
People can't seem to tell the difference most of the time because they're mindless and grasp for false equivalencies all the time.
Ignorance is really common today.

This has to be trolling. Lmao, what about the 8 year old little kids who can beat old Chess grandmasters? Guess they're not real, then.

This conversation is so retarded I can only assume you're actually delusional, there's no point even talking to someone so disconnected from what's blatantly obvious.

It's just like I'm reading the manga itself. Amazing

this is literally not true for anything in life, not even social things lol

Okay autism moment

erm boot straps aren't a thing and capitalism is a rigged game

unless you get a certain amount of luck or advantage you will never be rich

But also believes

Anybody can draw, do sports or any other hobbies

you just need to put in the right amount of effort and determination: D

WHICH IS IT YOU FAGGOTS????

If you mean that everyone has the same potential as their peers, that's wrong. Not all people have the same attention to detail or outlook as another.
Usain Bolt looked at what was working and kept changing it up in small increments to improve over time. The others had the same chance to do what he did, but they didn't make the same changes to their approach that he did.
If you experiment and limit-test constantly you're going to find what works and what doesn't.
Does this mean Usain Bolt was talented? No. It means he wanted it more than the others because he was willing to keep looking and pushing for the fastest results.
That's persistence. That's why he got where he did.

this is true. if you're having fun, you win even if you technically "lose". Someone who only plays to win already lost, because they don't enjoy it for what it is.

You're just a bitter faggot who blames a lack of talent for his own pathetic failures. You wish talent was real because then it means you just didn't get a good hand to play.
You pathetic unmotivated faggot.

1 and 2 are cope opinions, even the people saying it don't believe it
3 and 4 are factual for 99% of cases

thinking every anon is the same person is severely autistic. when you see different opinions, it's not the same person beign a hypocrite. actually i take it back this isn't about autism, you would only think that if you're actually retarded

Hidetaka Miyazaki

I fucking HATE BAKI.

But you just explained why I love Baki.

Baki is about 80% talking about Eugenics and the rest is men pissing, either on themselves or other men.

If you enjoy it then no matter how hard you push yourself you arent working hard in perspective

Even when people mock baki's writing it reads like kino

Basedest manga ever.

kike

When I was in school I almost never had to actively work hard, study, or really apply myself in any way even though I was in advanced classes. Literally all I did was pay attention during class. Despite this, I consistently pulled better grades than my friends and classmates who did study sessions and meaningfully engaged with the material with the intent to learn better.
What would you call that?

you can't train 24/7, your body needs recovery time or it will not get better.

kino

I more meant, the people who spew the top opinions also believe the bottom ones given most artists tend to be left leaning desu.
Also unironically being rich actually helps you draw (kinda) turns out if you dont work you have more time to do other sit. Having to devote eight hours of your life to waging kinda dampens time for developing art/practicing sports lol.
Waging truly is a cruel fate....

Do you seriously consider having slightly stronger muscles fibers or a more efficient heart than the average as 'talent'?

Baki is trash tier. gain taste

Anybody can draw but not anybody can draw well without spending a thousand years practicing.

I agree, read Kengan Ashura.

Just....eh....don't bother with Kengan Omega.

I'm convinced the only people who say talent doesn't exist are ones who have/had some sort of talent and are oblivious to it.

Sort of, yes.

hard work

stressful, makes you want to quit

enjoying oneself

fun, makes you want to keep going

You also can't improve on the spot, no matter how hard you work, improvement takes stepping away from the game, so your brain can process information, after a night of sleep you'll instantly be better at the game you played yesterday without putting forth any needless effort

gain taste

GOOD MORNING SAAR

Onega is such a wild ride. Completely shits on the consequences of Ashura and has some really fucking boring shit but some of the highs are equally as good if not better than the highs of Ashura.

This is going to be a personal anecdote but I personally think talent exists for a very stupid reason. Back when I was in elementary school, about 8-9 years old we had post-class computer classes that anyone could sign up for. Obviously we all just wanted to play games on the computers. One of the games we could play was Rayman 1. ALL the kids struggled like crazy and could NOT pass the Blue Mountains, except for me. I breezed past that shit and way into the Caves of Skops. I was the only kid in the entire school who could play Rayman and not look like a complete bumbling retard pressing buttons randomly. And my family was poor asf so I didn't have any games at home. The only explanation for why I was good and the other kids werent was because I had talent. It's a useless talent (thanks God) but its a talent nonetheless. It's an innate ability that I never had to cultivate, I was just born with it.
Talent is absolutely real, and I fucking hate it. I wish life was just a blank slate and you truly could do anything you wanted, but it ain't true. You're pre-destined from the moment of birth to do X and that's that.

Omega is only good when reading alongside the thread.

Talent doesn't exist, it's just the result of loving something and continually doing it because you love it, have fun with it, or are autistically focused on it. There is no hidden stat that denotes talent out the gate. Some people can be better at others at things despite putting in an equal amount of effort, that's just material limitations on different human body configurations. But the way people use the word "talent" is like it's this god given gift that cannot be attained if you do not have it.

But guys, how can I do anything meaningful if I don't have 4000 years of Chinese Martial Arts behind me?

If anything, this post proved talent does indeed exist, and yours is being a completely delusional fucking retard. Jesus christ, what a goddamn bumbling, blundering idiot you are.

And Ali Jr. Made him look like a punk

Worthless post with no substance, just like you!

file.jpg - 360x360, 17.54K

It's the context, dude. People only bring up 'talent' as an excuse. Think about the situations where you would discuss someone's talent in a given field. You are either a) trying to demean the effort they've put in, by attributing their success to some innate instinct, or b) trying to excuse your inability to reach the same heights as divine chance. Have a serious think about it. There is basically no other reason to discuss someone's talent, not even for academic theoretical purposes.

I like how you ignore the swimmer knowing that hes completely correct.
You could be swimming professionally your whole life and you will never be as good as Michael Phelps because he was simply born with a better body structure.
Yeah, Usain worked extra hard to beat the other 1%ers but he wouldnt even be in the 1% if he weren't genetically better than the other top 5%

Talent raises the performance floor and makes it easier to reach an individual's performance ceiling. Natural talent does not always reflect a higher potential. Someone can be untalented at something, work very hard, and eventually reach a performance ceiling higher than someone who is naturally talented. That amount of effort requires more time to achieve. More time is afforded to individuals that have a patron (wealthy parents being the most common example) so they can devote more time to practice. Since you're fags, I'll put it like this:

just because you got a huge dick while soft dont mean its bigger then everyone elses when hard and dont mean it fucks for a long time to make girls cum hard you gotta do them kegels to git gud

if it's not fun why bother

I'd argue that nepotism was worse in feudal times, but those are coming back really soon.

Very funny that you posted a rat as they are definitely smarter than you ever will be.

Naruto's original schtick was "I work hard and can compete against those that have natural bloodlines and talent."

Wrong. All Naruto wanted was recognition from the Leaf after being hated on for being the demon fox. The only time Naruto brings that up is in the fight with Neji, who was an insane doomer at the time. Hard Work vs Talent is Lee's thing, it's not Naruto's, and it surely isn't Luffy's or Ichigo's.

being able to work hard is a talent, checkmate fags i win

Eh, even the highest nobles got killed all the time so at least during feudal times everyone's lives was shit.

Do you not understand basic English? I think you exposed yourself instead, saar

It depends on if the competitive game is team based or individual based. In Counter Strike you need a good team of smurfs to push you to global elite really fast because you'll never make it on your own due to the fact you'll lose half your matches statistically. If it's something like Call of Duty, you have to geniunely enjoy the game to make it to the top.

Technofeudalism is already here

Pickle literally beat Baki
Not even going to get into Jack

be me

medieval serf

massa sends his knights to raid the neighboring barony

local knight dies

massa promotes the village rapist

now local knight not only takes too much food

he also rapes

That's quite literally what talent is. An inherent genetic advantage that you're born with.

I'm convinced Itagaki wrote this fucking post. Fuck you, gook.

No. In fighting games you can have all the fun you want but the tryhard using top tier and flowcharting good moves is going to beat you 100% of the time unless he gets bored of trying hard and also starts to fuck around. It doesn't apply to any competitive game, not just fighting games. Metas and top tier shit in modern games are so oppressive and set in stone that there isn't any wiggle room for someone to be decent and also have fun. At some point you will have to stop "having fun" because the only way to beat certain things will be to lock in and actually try and win.

Thirdie post of the day lol

Kino

Firstie's are the ones apparently obsessed with le hard word and self made men.

Hanayama bros...

Well I dont blame them, white men conjure great feats out of nothing but talent and drive. Everyone else just sort of lives in the mud and rapes each other. I will not be reading any replies posted by niggers of the soul.

GOD IT'S KINO
KIIIIIIINO

Absolute mangaka

Genetics aren't synonymous with 'talent'.
Get a fucking refund your teachers failed your ass.

They are if we talk about non-athletic activities like drawing or talking.

Eh, feudal society had a shitload more social mobility than most people are taught to believe. Kings would actively raise competent peasants up to nobility if they distinguished themselves after a battle. Life was quite often too volatile to just ignore merit entirely which is why monarchs were commonly voted in by the aristocrats

Yeah it is. Talent is inborn. It's 100% down to genetics.

Yes it fucking is you bumfucking retard where the fuck do you think talent comes from?

Grappler Baki manga is finally getting an official english release

We won!
