it's good if you need something in a pinch to play souls or racing games

submarine/poorfag core

I just tried to play a fighting game with this one and I literally could not do a single move. Completely worthless dpad.

Thw king is not out yet

I bought one of these to play DS1 14 years ago.

Just used it for AI Limit and E33 (and every controller game in between). Still works great.

Of sea

Press A!

>presses B

i fucking hate the microsoft layout

When will Logitech redesign this piece of shit
I'm pretty sure I had one when my PC still ran Windows XP

press X

Nintendo solved this and Valve followed suit. The universal naming is North, East, South, West.

i love using that controller to bind moves in dfo

Let me guess you need more?

no console that names the buttons NESW

you'll never push the N button

fuck

May we all have such interesting deaths that they become jak-worthy

this controller legitimately fucking sucks
ive just been using a psx controller with an adapter

my left thumbstick gets stuck constantly
what do?

buy another one they're like $19

I bet the submarine pilot pressed the mode button.

Does this one work seamlessly with new games? I had some Logitechs back before the Xbox 360 came out or the "Games for Windows" initiative that made its controller the de facto official PC controller, and it made my Logitechs pretty useless. Even when games did "just work" with it it never tell you the real button to push or anything

I had one of these cheap logitech controllers and it was really low-quality, felt horrible to use in comparison with the proper xbox 360 controller I eventually bought

Yes, it’s the simplest controller I’ve ever set up. Just plug in and it works.

So the undersea squirrel removed a nut from the sub, that's how they died?

Ahh yeah I found my old one and I guess it just had numbers for the buttons. It was a nice controller just kind of a pain in the ass. They were called the Rumblepad 2

its so popular logitech jacked up the reccommended sale price
its like $40 now

wtf

They’re alright controllers. I’d say they’re better than Xbox controllers based on longevity alone, the modern Xbox controller (not elite) is super garbage.
The PS5 controller has a worse battery life too but the buttons are nicer to press even though they have stick problems as well. But I’d never in a million years pay for this.

It would have been so kino if they were actually trapped at the bottom of the sea. Movies would have been made about it. Instead they all just exploded instantly. Lame.

Yeah that’s just how it works. Dale Earnhardt died instantly on impact, Amelia Earhart probably passed out due to whiplash and died, shit like that.

Most of us have hands shaped for gripping round things, so yeah.

like my PENIS

Do they use different sticks for these old controllers ? My PS3 controller doesn't drift to this day but all my modern shit went bad in 6 to 12 months.

The only thing I've ever been able to figure, is that earlier in the product's existence, it must've been made with better materials and better QA.
It's such a fucking awful controller at the present, that I can't make sense of its popularity any other way.
TBF though 360 wired was so goddamn good, that it's hard to compare anything else to it.

Better, higher quality parts and manufacturing in general. Old = good, new = bad is not a meme.

I believe the PS3 controller actually used hall effect like the dreamcast did, so in that specific case, that'd be why.

I must be remembering wrong. A decade ago this or some Logitech controller got shit on by everyone. This looks like ass

Yes, because the old ones are actually good. Don't waste your time trying to buy an F310 in current year, though. They haven't been great for 7 or 8 years now.

It's a blend of ALPS making shittier potentiometers over the years, and modern controllers having higher resolution and smaller/no deadzone so it isn't masked as well. If you dig you can find the occasional old forum posts complaining about sticks malfunctioning in 5th-7th generation controllers, but it didn't have the stick drift label until current generations. That said I never experienced it myself before 2021, unless you want to count unlubed N64 sticks grinding down and not centering, but that's unrelated to potentiometers.

Early DS3 was made with hall effect sticks, yeah, so it would last longer. Modern first party controllers are all designed to break in no time. Only some third party ones can last long now.

why would you settle for anything else?

kekd

I still use one of these I bought like 15 years ago and it works fine.

Because it was ass. The only reason anyone bought it was because it was cheap. Now people are just nostalgiafagging

D-pad is bad

Yeah wtf I wasn't wrong. This controller is ass and I see lots of people mention how great this is.

PS2 analogs went fucky all the goddamn time. I had like five of them in the end + two third parties I used on PC before xinput took over.

Controllers just break. They're all fragile. If you want something tough just get an arcade stick or hitbox, they last forever because they're made of materials designed to survive being raped by swarms of little kids. (They're worthless if the game you're playing has camera control or some other gimmick that can't be controlled through a stick + a bunch of buttons, though)

The fact that it survived the implosion is beyond based

did he died ?
