I've been playing a bit the past couple of days. Had a bit of fun, but also strongly reminded why I stopped playing 5 years ago. It's a poorly balanced game with terrible shooting mechanics and is full of cheaters. The heroes are overpowered garbage that ruin most matches too.

Theres tools for every class to do something about heroes, it's just that no one uses them. Stinger pistol can be a nightmare for heroes by drastically delaying their HP regen time which forces them to retreat. Never see it get used ever though. The repulsor canon never gets used either even though it can knock someone on their ass for a good amount of time, but it also requires your teammates to not have shit aim and actually capitalize on what you're doing. Officers have flash grenades that won't do much against an experienced player but they can screw over a hero that mindlessly throws themself at a group. Really the best way to counter a hero is to just to stick with a couple competent players, good luck finding them though lol

Being a hero isn't mandatory and you can fully enjoy almost any aspect of the gameplay. They even had the balls to set up scenarios where one side is absolutely fucked so overcoming that extra challenge as the doomed faction is a great time.

I've been mostly getting my ass kicked but a random match I went on a 30+ streak and another I solo'd a conquest spawn point for a solid min so I'm unsure, but I've also seen the "looking for needed players" thing stall on the big 40 player mode, and I've had matches which were only 7 v. 7 and hard as fuck to find anyone.

Galactic Assault and Blast do not have bots at all. Supremacy has bots mixed in with players and I think it spawns more bots if a team is short players.

Don't think that would be doable, game predates wide adoption of stuff like DLSS by a good while. The TAA does work very well though, especially at higher resolutions. What you can do if you've got the overhead is run it above native via the resolution scale options, effectively giving you DLAA.

I already put 100 hours into it when it had the first resurgence like 2 years ago. Still a very based game though so it hurts that EA sent it out to die. What a fucking garbage company.

I played the old battlefronts and 1 was a lot better than 2, but the only map I enjoyed was Jabba's Palace and I remember playing that on the first game but you had to do some weird shit to play it. Overall I would say Nu battlefronts are a perfectly fine way to reboot the Battlefront series.

The originals had a shit ton of AI bugs and quirks idk what you're talking about. Off the top of my head, they would crash your boarding vehicles into the hangar on the space maps unless you kicked them all out, they would prioritize getting into turrets every single time even if it meant getting shot in the head instantly, they would randomly use the recon drone in the middle of combat and leave themselves vulnerable to the enemy and they could detect invisible players using the bothan spy every single time without fail.

i redownloaded the game after not playing it for years today and it's...okay gameplay wise. I think i would rather play the current Fortnite season.

You can get into one usually, it just takes a long wait. Most people who still play are on playing the fun smaller scale modes like Cargo and Sabotage that 2 is lacking though. And most of them are cheaters so it's not really worth it to try.

Objectively, it was much better and more fun mode than what they turned it into. There were solutions to deal with Boba Fett, only one map really made it impossible to catch him. But they destroyed the mode instead and ruined the saber combat on top of it. And that update was the day the game died.

Co-op mode. Since only 4 people are playing you're basically guaranteed use of at least SOME heroes and since you're just fighting bots that's good to learn the basics of your skills and how they handle while also getting unlocks. The enemy AI also isn't entirely terrible so it's pretty fun

Co-op mode is actually pretty hard, which is nice. Lots of enemies and they can spawn as heroes and vehicles too so it gets nuts

Varies a lot from map to map, and side to side. Some are impossible to lose, like Kamino on the Republic side. AI is almost incapable of taking either of the points on the first section.

Geonosis on either side is by far the most difficult because of the last objective being very difficult to defend with little cover and wide open spaces for the enemy to come from all sides and difficult to attack because of constantly respawning tanks with one shot aimbot ability.

Trying to defend the capital ship map as droids is also insanely hard. But Tatooine as the Empire is really easy to win.

The bots playing as Jedi and Sith are better than basically any player, even the ones who are good at it without cheats. It's fucking scary getting chased down by AI Anakin or Grievous.
