FFX

Stranger of Paradise.
If only because the devs didn't pussy out to the CHAOS memes and embraced them.

Really? I was certain only one of them did. Well, the one where you get your job starting with the crystal in the castle basement, then.

Crystal chronicles.

for general gameplay, I'd say og VII

FFV

Job system so good that SE still can't stop using it

FF5

FFX closely followed by FF7 (remakes too)

FFX

FFIV

Vagrant Story

75 era 11 never a doubt in my mind

TIFA PAIZURI SIMULATOR

sorry I thought it said "make" the best final fantasy game

Based pick, anon. FFX has peak vibe and pacing, and the Sphere Grid scratches the progression itch like nothing else. Also, Blitzball is unironically fun once the RNG nonsense clicks. Remake 7's combat feels slick too—turn-based nostalgia but with just enough action to keep it fresh.

All of them, are very gay

FF: Expedition 33

game

X-2
story is VIII and soundtrack is IX, everything else is X

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles with your spouse and your two children

Soundtrack is ix

Not 8

The fuck?

12, 8, Tactics. In that order.

That was easy.

7

I wish Tactics had a more elaborate artstyle like Tactics Ogre did. Sometimes it seems too cartoony, specifically the character portraits

The one I like most is the best.

I don't play weebslop.

8, next question.

none

Dissidia Duodecimal System

Based for going OG. There’s something pure about FF1—just you, a vague plot about crystals, and a hallway full of monsters to punch. No fluff, just vibes and grinding. It’s like comfort food for JRPG brains.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is Final Fantasy Number Five

Final Fantasy V.

6 > 9 > 8 > 4 > 7 > others

FFII

FFV easy

5 > 3 > 8 > 6 > 2 > 4 > 7 > 1

It's 7

FFXI, though I like XII and IV a lot!

ff14 up until endwalker

Trick question. They all suck.

gotta go with 12

8>6>7>2>everything else>fuck everything from 10 onward

6 good

X bad

kek

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles with your spouse and your two children

Can't wait until my boys are old enough for vidya. One is, the other is not ready yet.

Yeah hard agree. Try dq1 as well if you haven't I like that one more

12 is the only one I ever bothered finishing so its got my vote.

anyone saying any game but 5 should not be trusted

people will knock 7 because of the compilation and also because its the most popular but it really is the best

FFXIII
I love Lightning btw

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Rings of Fates.

FFVI for the mainline entries and FFXIV for the MMOs.

there's a reason it's the least popular out of the snes era

yes, masses have shit taste

That's really easy.
6 = Best overall
4 (Namingway Edition) = the best of the og Sakaguchi directed games
7 = Would have been the best overall had it not fallen apart due to them running out of money after the midgar section.

8 onwards = not worth playing, they don't represent FF in any way, shape or form. Nothing to do with the gameplay or themes in them has anything to do with the rest of the series, whereas the first 7 are all unified under their use of recurring themes, characters, monsters, vehicles etc.

In fact, half the FF games from 8 onwards weren't even developed as FF games to begin with, they just slapped the FF name on them before releasing them.
