I took a break from playing CRPGs to finally play Nier Automata. I have been meaning to play it since it came out (which it did like a few months ago, right?), but never got around to it. I just finished all the main endings and it's definitely an above average game. It gets some minus points for only working decently with KB+mouse with a mod and the somewhat tedious 9S segments consisting of spamming the repetitive hacking mini game.

Oblivion on PS5

Made a Cleric (Blunt, Restoration) and did Knights of the Nine, Mages Guild, Fighter's Guild and Arena and explored the world for about 60 hours. I made a new character (Unarmored, Hand to Hand) to do Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood and Story mode. It's been fun, I'm sad about Hand to Hand nerfs so it no longer ragdolls enemies upon Fatigue loss. Watching an NPC jerk around every punch like they got Cattle Prodded in Deus Ex almost makes up for it.

oblivion remastered. the fixed level scaling is actually really nice, my last through plays of vanilla oblivion i would always stay as low level as possible to avoid the bullshit, so it's nice to not have to worry about it.

If you glue, remove mould lines, and use some green stuff to fill holes, it takes significantly longer, especially with finicky models with thin rods/hands.

Just finished Styx: Master of Shadows and its sequel, Shards of Darkness. Phenomenal stealth games, SoD especially. Provided my PC meets the recommended specs, I'll be buying Blades of Greed day 1.

Reddit is full of those people. So many of the Warhammer subreddits especially are full of posts where someone blows like 1500 dollars on Warhammer boxes. "Hi guys I am new to the hobby how did I do". I do think that lot of the stereotypes about Warhammer being expensive comes from the consoomers who drop thousands of dollars on boxes at once, even if they've never painted or built a single miniature or scale model in their entire life.

I've never played Sly Cooper, but if you enjoy pure stealth, where you'll want to reload a save when you get caught instead of engaging in combat, you can't go wrong with Styx.

We did the painting certification course and LOVED painting. I can't wait. We're almost done with the models. I've been itching to paint. We did most of the painting classes with brushes so were going to do brush paint. But now we're going to do 50/50. Priming with a air, base colors with air, fine detail work with brush and then glow bits with the airbrush at the end and shading will probably be just cheating with oil.
Like I said we're probably 80-90% done with everything as of last night. We both have one medium box left. We have an Iwata Eclipse airbrush, an AS186 compressor (outrageously quiet) and a vent hood going out the window already setup in our game room. Did a few tests on some army guys I had laying around. Painting is easily going to be the best part of this process. I do NOT like making the models (thought I would since I love Gunpla kits so much). They are so much lower quality than Gunpla but it is relaxing sanding down the rough edges/mold lines with godhand sand sponges (and we had two godhand nippers already from gunpla so all the tools we needed).

Replayed both Portal games recently. Not really doing anything new until I get my Switch 2. Honestly been mostly lurking Anon Babble hoping to discuss random bullshit with women since I like hearing cute girl voices discuss random bullshit. Only girl so far to do VC with was mental with annoying voice though.

Yeah if you live near a Warhammer official store they do free paint tutorials and they are mulitple sessions if you want them to be. They provide free paint, brushes, and models to paint along with instructions. Depends on how deep you want to go but it was fun. They call it a "Painting License" which is the most British shit I've ever heard. The guy who runs the store is Scottish and I heard 12 different manchildren come in and ask if he was British and he'd look so sad and say, "Uhh... yeah..."
