in fact that's a common criticism of the switch library, how a lot of its games aren't worth the price because they're considered inferior titles due to their portable association, stuff like tomodachi life, rythmn heaven, the 2D metroid and zelda entries, the brain academy titles, clubhouse games and of course mainline pokemon

i feel like with the rise of the switch we've lost the whole thing of portable consoles having games tailored to the portable format
i'm probably in the minority but i'm really not that interested in playing a AAA game on a tiny screen when i could just play it on my pc, i want something that's easy to pick up and play

My big issue with the Switch and Steamdeck is just that they're too fucking big. A handheld should fit in the pocket and not need a bag to bring it anywhere

Or just call it the Xbox Surface. It's Windows-based but if people are expecting third party stores to work on it, they're going to be disappointed, that's for the home console. Microsoft wants the handheld to either be $450 or $500 and they can't do that with third party stores on there. Home console is doomed though, that's going to be $1000+. Very stupid strategy, the courts aren't going to open up Sony's or Nintendo's stores because Microsoft wants it that way, consoles aren't PCs or Smartphones. I doubt it'll work against Valve either.
