Yes. If your fat, no matter how strong you are, you probably will not be able to do a pull up. It quite literally is the hardest bodyweight exercise for fat people. If a fat person is somewhat active, not completely sedimentary, then they will likely build a fairly sizeable amount of muscle in their legs due to having to carry around all that weight. Personally, I'm a fatass and have been all my life. As a teenager I was much thinner due to being a bit of a runner which I picked up to lose weight from being a chubby kid. As a teen and young adult I was relatively thin, but then I fattened up to OVER 300 due to a variety of reasons, but mostly deep seeded depression. Eventually I droped something like 50lbs idk but I've definitely put on some more since then. Anyways, my legs have always been tree trunks and despite having a layer of fat over them, when I flex it's almost all muscle due to carrying around all that fat. My bones are probably fucked though, but idk I drank alot of milk when I was younger, which is one of the reason i became a lardass. Today I have no problem doing workouts that require legs and when I walk or jog, the rest of my body gets tired well before my thunderthighs do. There are almost zero benefits to being fat. But one of them for me was naturally building muscle in my legs with literally zero effort beyond standing and walking around at work all day

I do lift weights every week, but not super heavy and not as often as I should. Im almost 30 and dont have any knee problems at all. The only thing I can think of as far as potential risk is my lower back gets sore easily. I'm gonna start internment camp fasting soon, but I have to correct my sleeping schedule first. It's all over the place currently
Also, let it be known to anons, I stopped gaining weight en masse when I started cooking for myself. I used to eat a ton of processed junk and snackfoods, nearly all of which I've stopped consuming aside from occasional popcorn and chocolate. I eat a ton more variety in vegtables, meats, grains, etc, than before and have felt healthier. Just today I made broccoli cheddar soup and it was delicious. Also, when I lost a bunch of weight, it was nearly all due to the internment dieting I did for about half a year or so. Cut down on carbs and sugars (you dont have to cut them out entirely) and increase vegetals and protein. Weightloss is pretty much that simple, speaking from experince. The only real difficult part is giving a shit to begin with desu

Keep in mind I’m very much in shape it’s just that my muscle is heavier than fat, so pullups and body weight exercises in general are a poor indicator of strength. I can squat 3 pl8 and bench 215 at a bodyweight of 162lbs, I’m incredibly Anon Babble it’s just that muscle is heavy and therefore pullups are harder for me to do.
Ok, alright, maybe my shoulders suck my OHP is only 95lbs, shoulders are difficult to target and easy to tear with rotator cuff problems that’s not my fault anyone who has cannonball sized delts are doping plain and simple.

The reason I blame the "milk" is because it was almost always coupled with cornflakes and cocopuffs which I ate at night literally a couple hours before bed while watching kinos. Cereal was my kinosnacc for a long time, so even though I had about a cup and a half every single night, it was the bowl of actual garbage and the time at which I consumed it that actually lead to me gaining weight. I dont drink much milk anymore because now I have some digestive issues. It might have been late onset lactose intolerance, though I have heard it might be casin specifically that causes me to shitbricks instead, as a lot of cheese and other dairy products, like yogurt or sour cream, also have the same effect.

Being able to do other exercises but not pull ups is a strong indicator that your muscle development is unbalanced. It was the case for me too when I was young. I was scrawny, I lifted only dumbells to develop biceps, I got them biceps, and yet I completely froze on the pull-up bar like it was an exercise for aliens. I did practice and diversified my activities a little and then I could. Your manual labor is probably very specific and unbalanced.

why in the fuck would there be a conversion for push ups to pullups when they train completely different parts of your body? also get yourself one of these and yes they are completely safe and stable assuming you dont have some shit american door made out of paper

Try to eat about 1800 calories and 120-150g of protein until you hit about 180, then reassess if you need to drop the calories. Focus on high fiber and high protein meals. Eat vegetables to help you stay full. Try to limit when you go over your calories by more than 100 to once every 3 or 4 weeks. Keep doing cardio. I like low impact cardio like the stationary bike or walks. Try to get that 45 minutes in atleast 3 or 4 times a week. Maybe add 5 minutes to that every few weeks or even try to get it done 5 or 6 times a week. Maybe add weightlifting when you get the urge or around 190lb. I personally think easing once or twice a week into lifting for the first few weeks is best, just to get comfortable. Try running a basic strength program like starting strength or stronglifts for a few months at 3x a week and then branch out into a split where you hit each muscle group at a lower weight like twice a week for about 9-12 sets per muscle group total (so 4 days a week).

I just threw a bunch of stuff at you, but just write it down and implement everything slowly over a long period of time. Make sure you feel comfortable before you add more stuff. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Take it from someone who went from morbidly obese to fit.

You need to be consistent for longer. Sometimes the scale wont drop for 2 weeks and then you lose a few pounds in a few days. See

Yeah, that's not gonna cut it. Wii Fit is fun but outside of the fitness trainer exercises (yoga and strength training iirc), you're not gonna be building up much activity. One 30 minute jog (a REAL one) is more effective than a whole week of 15 min Wii Sport sessions.
If you have Wii Fit U and the little thingy, that's effective for tracking progress.

It's not Wii Fit I saw 2 youtubers fail at it for a month. It was Gold's Gym Cardio Workout and it was a month also. Still nothing. Then I did another month with the jap sequel and still got nothing.

Thanks, I just put your post in my notes. Sometimes I work out with my friend and he helps me get the forms right, that's always been the first big hurdle but I can do basic dumbbell exercises and ground-based ones (push-ups, sit-ups, planks) right now so I just do what I'm consistent at. Will branch out at the points you mentioned.

Cardio, fasting, and all that stuff is ultimately just something that might lead to cutting calories. Calories are literally all that matter if all you care about is your weight. Now if you care about muscles, specifically losing fat, all that stuff, that's another layer. But if you count calories and know what you're eating, you can lose weight doing absolutely nothing.

I used to be around your weight (100 kg, down to 80 now) and although I'm actually eating decent food now, there were a few years where I was losing weight while eating the most dogshit stuff available and sitting on my ass. I lost more weight sitting on my ass and jerking off while eating sub-2k calories a day than I did in martial arts and exercising at 3k calories a day. You can eat literally nothing but chocolate all day, and as long as it's lower than your natural calorie burning rate, you'll lose weight

If you want the easiest cheat, just look into a carnivore diet. You like bacon, eggs, and cheese right? Just eat that and count the calories - and since it's mostly protein and fat, it keeps you full for longer than processed shit. You can also do keto, which is effectively the same thing because both naturally have low carbs; even bread has high fibre variants which amount to having basically 0 carbs. And because the shit isn't filled with carbs, it keeps you feeling full for longer at the same number of calories.

Once again if you want 'healthy' results there's more shit to look into. But if all you want to do is lose weight, the absolute easiest things to look into are calories, and a carnivore/keto diet facilitates it the easiest. Working out doesn't help at all if you don't know what you're eating and you're still intaking more calories than you're burning, it might just make you feel hungrier. And if you don't really look into calories, it's easy to fall into the trap of "if I just eat a small bowl instead of a big bowl of [something packed with calories], I should be fine"

Wearing wrist weights means a somewhat slow, or predictable movement. Heavier weight means more muscle growth.

if you can't do a single pull up, start with negative pull ups (look it up)

every time you get up from your chair, do 10 negative pull ups

do this every day until you can do 1 perfect pull up (no kipping, no jumping)

now you're ready for the "pull up tax" (same as before, you get up from your chair, you do 1 pull up)

when doing just 1 feels like too little, you do 2, and then you do 3, and so on and so forth

that's all there is to it, it might be easier if you're not morbidly obese
