I always try to make my first attack a charge attach after rolling into the middle of the group.

the dodge attack stab is also super fast

your dodge roll is your best friend
dodge roll into light attack is a quick attack with good stun that can follow up into a heavy attack. You can even roll behind the enemy and spin 180 for the light attack.
You can also roll while charging, and your charge attacks have i-frames. So funnily quick normal attacks can get you but any of the boss's big skills you want to charge your own attack and i-frame through.

Aren't the ones you have to chase the "regular" ones? Because they're by far the most common mimics I've encountered so far. There were some mimics placed in the dungeons in the main story, but they were few and far between. Running mimics are all fucking over the Ginormosia.

If you are only concerned about how quickly you can finish the main story quest, then it's as expected. Even the first Fantasy Life game didn't have that long of a main story quest; I'd argue that it's probably even shorter if it wasn't for the constant backtracking you had to do and there wasn't a dragon you could simply call at any time to teleport anywhere, either.

Axes are for chopping trees. Hammers are for smithing. Spears don't exist. Combat classes only have one weapon type each.

Hunter 100%. lock onto a mimic and use a charged arrow rain. Even if it runs out of targeting range as long as you have released the button it's going to track it regardless of how far it gets.

It depends on how much you interacted with buddies on the island before it resets.
It also affects how many celestia's gifts you get in general.
If you do like 0 interactions you get like 174 celestia's gifts and only 2 golden flowers.

yeah, breaking your farms and only farming stuff you need for quests seems like the fastest way. You need to grow 2x of a bunch of different giant crops to unlock master which is pretty annoying if you don't reallocate your farms for it

You can play through the story to ~lv50, use your combat job to boost some woodcutter/miner buddies, and then use those buddies to powerlevel your crafters, so you can skip a bit of grinding that way.

You'll still have to craft a bunch of low level stuff for the rank progression though.

The actual best party to have at all times (outside of specific situations) is a fighter, a crafter and a fisher. This way you get all buffs and debuffs for every activity, and fishing is the only gathering life that benefits from direct support.
