wields a weapon known as "The Sword of Promised Victory"
gets clapped in fights far more often than she wins
What did Nasu mean by this?
wields a weapon known as "The Sword of Promised Victory"
gets clapped in fights far more often than she wins
What did Nasu mean by this?
it's promised, not certainty.
Not my King, pic related is the better king.
Her left gauntlet is curved like macaroni
She wins in the end so she did win
most of the time she can't actually use the damn thing because shirou is a manalet + 90% of type moon characters are jobbers because nasu is big into the idea of an extremely strong and epic guy being cocky and having an extremely bad day/matchup against a weak underdog guy trying his best on his best day/matchup because that's how all the OG heroic myths play out of man slaying monster
she almost never has the sheathe which is the actual bullshit part of the sword so she can only big laser beam, the most no sold technique you can possibly have
Lancer right after getting summoned
Berserker like the day after
Who else claps her in the VN? She doesn't explicitly lose against anyone else, I think.
It's probably designed to have a bit of a give for comfort, like most segmented armor.
based well-endowed king enjoyer
she doesn't explicitly lose ag-AAAACKK
Did we ever figure out what the script on the sword says? The same script appears around summoning circles.
How did Kuzuki not manage to kill her despite getting his 720 grab off? Is her regeneration really that crazy?
I do AI gen of her with a fat dick so it's the sword of my promised victory
You too.
based and canon
HSR won
What is HSR?
Honkai Star rail, they're doing a collab with Fate UBW in the next patch
Hows the vn? What the best way to experience the story?
Excalibur usually pretty powerful when she actually used it.
Play the OG on PC, not the remastered ver on console.
"Wobbly arms? S-SHIROU, TATSUKETE!"
Winning a fight isn't the only way to achieve victory.
VN. The remaster is on steam and it's serviceable, but many prefer the translated original version. Anime all sucks if you give a shit about character writing.
Age of fairies supercharging anyone and everything with demigod powers vs highschool boy sweat
superior saber
AIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!
the VN, the anime cuts out all the insane internal monologues from shirou and a lot of the more light hearted scenes and extremely violent and sudden bad endings that give the game a lots of its characterization to instead present just the chunni power battles and dramatic moments
I'm not sure why people are replying saying to play the original over the remaster. I assume its because they don't like the realta nua scenes/no sex scenes but the mirror moon translation has stupid fucking shit like translating seigi no mitaka as "superhero" which gives things a very different meaning
People almost never talk about Avalon being able to give her for real invincibility temporarily with Unreachable Utopia. That's probably a bigger gamebreaker than the regeneration.
thats not even the right sword. you dolt.
Spear > sword.
I'm reading FS/N for the first time after not touching Fate at all for decades. Damn, Saber is pretty fucking cute, I can see why people went nuts for her.
oh, and in regards to "how's the vn" its good but its also long as fuck and you need to be okay with nasu's autistic magic-babble and everyone eats food together to chill out scenes
based titoriachad
She wins if she uses the sword's power, but in most cases she can't. It's just an offer not automatic.
all of this happens
still wins in every route
hey remember in Stay Night when saber got hit once by berserker and almost fucking died
I miss those days
FALSE
SHE ONLY RETURNED TO HERSELF UPON RECEIVING HER SWORD
still wins in every route
every route
*HF* *stabs Saber* "Arigatou, Saber. You saved me many times."
Spears are just swords attached to a stick.
In a normal situation:
top tier melee
huge laser beam
regen
Invincible at will
She's too strong to make a compelling story, so she gets nerfed.
her casual outfit is baggy because it's actually an outfit from Rin's wardrobe that she lent her
Secondaries miss out on a lot of small details.
Nasu loves gimping Servants.
Gilgamesh is the most powerful servant. Make him a cocky asshole who never gets serious.
Heracles is one of the strongest servants you could have. Summon in his worse class and have Illya never use him seriously. Also, make it so when he does get killed, he's always fighting the worst opponents for him to face.
Cu is good servant. Weaken him by command seal, and make him fight servants that actually have counters to his two versions of Gae Bolg. Also, make him kill himself lol
Medusa is a good servant. Give her to fucking Shinji who can't use magecraft severely nerfing her for two routes
Ect...
The funnies thing is that Heracles would have been far more dangerous as anything but a Berserker because of how hard Madness Enhancement gimps his intelligence.
Does it really matter when a japanese teenager beat the ancient god hero king in one of the route
loses to a girl nearly two heads smaller than him
loses to an autistic teenager
gets killed by a teenage girl in some backalley
My Hero King...
not enough exchange of bodily fluid to charge her magic
The funniest thing is that Fate's Herc is a fucking clown that can't win a single fight without diying.
Don't forget that time when he became a battery.
the entire reason he's into Arturia is because she doesn't care for him
Look at this fucking romance novel love interest.
dies thirteen times in every route
What a jobber lmao
I think that is extra funny since funny since is that Medea should logically be able to hard counter him due having stories about curing one of his "Madness" fits, so conceptually she could been his worst opponent in the Grail War and it would been justified by its own logic, but Fate doesn't acknowledge those stories, From what i remember SN doesn't even acknowledge them as fellow Argonauts.
how much of it is sakura or Ahriman's kill?
Curing his madness wouldn't have made him less hostile, it would have just made him far more dangerous.
I'm pretty sure Nasu just somehow didn't know this was a thing until Grand Order, since that was the first work to acknowledge them as being Argonauts, and Prisma Illya had a similar idea to what you're presenting where they tried to replicate Thor being poisoned and then dying after taking three steps to defeat who they incorrectly thought was Thor.
To be fair I could still totally see Medea trying to use a combination of that and Rulebreaker to get sane Heracles on her side. Medea with Artoria, Heracles, and Sasaki all fighting for her would've been truly unstoppable.
It's going even further beyond, in FGO he was killed fucking offscreen before the events of the story in chapter about fucking Greece, with his big daddy as the final boss.
Curing his madness is the worst thing Medea could do. He's gimped because of his madness meaning he can't use his skills. No Madness means you have a very strong, very fast, and 12 life cunning monster to beat you up.
Nine steps*** fuck my gay life I'm retarded
It would probably fuck up the class container though, since if we go by FGO (Mobage garbage as it is) Avengers start to die if they fail start to fail their "Hate" qualifier, so presumably Berserkers would suffer something similar if they fail their "Madness" check.
I just think nasu just doesn't or isn't ready to write a normal and in his prime heracles
This unironically is probably it. I can't remember if Nasu has ever said anything about full power Heracles but Meteo, the author of strange Fake, once mentioned that the reason he had him get nerfed into an Avenger in that is because he simply doesn't have confidence in himself to write a compelling story with a character as strong as Archer Heracles in it.
Not only thought, he doesn't want to write a normal Grail War either. There's always some twist, hidden agenda, rules being broken, ect...
He gimped Saber even though she's supposed to a top-tier servant of her class. In Greece chapter there was gimped Achilles without his invulnerability and he was cool as fuck. But Herc? No, his main gimmick is dying.
Meteo, the author of strange Fake
Narita is a writer of FSF
he simply doesn't have confidence in himself to write a compelling story with a character as strong as Archer Heracles in
Sounds like a lie, he didn't use normal Herc so Nasu still could make his own canonical character, but the main cause is to get rid of his divinity so Gil wouldn't kill him on the spot.
Narita is a writer of FSF
Oh shit, my bad, I was thinking of Narita but wrote Meteo and didn't realize it.
Sounds like a lie, he didn't use normal Herc so Nasu still could make his own canonical character, but the main cause is to get rid of his divinity so Gil wouldn't kill him on the spot.
Honestly, yeah this makes a lot more sense than just "I couldn't do it" when people like Gilgamesh and Enkidu are walking around in the same story.
herc and medea should of heard of each other if we're going by the greek myths. herc was on the the argo for a short time in some variations of jason and the argonauts.
I don't think anri manyu has anything to do with sakura's power
zouken just made her a powerful grail recipient so she has like infinite mana to do whatever she wants
That's not true, Imaginary Numbers or whatever the pocket dimension shit is called that she has makes Angra a lot worse.
if he's born, probably
but before that, it's just sakura's own power and the "infinite" mana from the grail
How did she eat Gilgamesh? He's supposed to be completely immune to the tar.
Is FGO just an excuse for Nasu to go fucking hog wild with stupid shit? Because jesus christ Lostbelt 7 is a fucking trip of nonsense. The motherfucker at one point gives dinosaurs fucking guns. And why is there a character who is just straight out of fucking lovecraft now?
I-I don't know how to feel about this shitty mobage apart from the need to know how it ends.
Watching the DEEN anime, the Caliburn scene was cool as fuck.
sakura eats mana and gilgamesh was a walking mana battery
at least this is what an anon told on /fgog/ when I asked a similar question
It falls into Pokedex tier with how much the stats inflate a Servant's abilities versus their actual performance, and I'm not talking about Gilgie.
Gilgamesh is the Freeza of Fate
Freeza and Gilgamesh both come off as very smug about their strength, to the point that they greatly underestimate their opponent. Then, when backed into a corner they rage
consistently underestimate his opponents, because he believes they will never be able to defeat him
doesn't go all out from the start
Freeza doesn't take Goku seriously until Goku throws the spirit bomb at him
Gilgamesh doesn't take Shirou seriously until Shirou traps him inside UBW
Gilgamesh only wears his armor and wields Ea against Iskander out of respect for being a fellow king
Gilgamesh only wears his armor and wields Ea against Saber out of respect for being a fellow king
Reminder that Nasu stated that Gil could have ended the 4th HGW and 5th HGW in one night if he really wanted to, as we saw with slaughtering Caster in Fate route and Berserker in UBW route.
Servants are technically ghosts made of mana, but it's still kind of nonsense. His entire deal is that his ego and godhood makes his form completely inviolable to the tar and any sort of magical bullshit like it.
Is it even possible to write a good-guy story without people who should win actually losing?
It plays with its tone but I think they know some light heartedness has value and I think part of the point of LB7 is that it's a stagnant peaceful setting until shit hits the fan, so giving you a light hearted slice of life segment where you play football with dinosaurs serves an actual story purpose.
And why is there a character who is just straight out of fucking lovecraft now?
Which one? Although strictly speaking that isn't that weird, Fate has had people/servants from fiction before. But Lovecraft's work is obviously like half of an entire class at this point with Foreigners (which is awesome)
he's immune to the mud but sakura wasn't using the mud
the deen fate anime is worse than the tsukihime anime.
"Infinite" mana is always such BS in Fate.
Rin made the Jewelled Sword! Its an unbelievably powerful artifact that uses the Second Magic (the Kaleidoscope!!!) to get infinite mana!!!!
it just shoots lasers
What a waste
he doesn't want to write a normal Grail War either
unironically why I like f/sn way more then anything that came after, the idea that the original IP is the one where everyone involved in the grail war sucks, doesn't want to be there, actively wants it to end or some combo of the three while everything afterwards is just the premise as delivered is really funny to me - the one series where the subversive destruction focused was the original
Lancer injures her and then runs away
Heracles gets killed once by her and retreats
Kuzuki injures her, then runs away
Wow, she sure loses a lot.
He didn't immune, but it's very hard to corrupt him. This time it turned him into a mana instead.
my boy Shirou literally overturns fate itself to win the unwinnable
his only representation in the fucking gachaverse is with an old man puppeteering his meatsuit
and his canon-but-noncanon nigger version being a Yamcha level jobber despite apparently being a megatier anti-servant
Is there a single female servant who doesn't job to The Cock?
you can't go against instincts, bro
We know that Saiyan and Zenkai Boost is bullshit. Vegeta gets insane power boost multiple times throughout the arc. Super saiyan was already foreshadowed from early Namek. So Goku getting a super power boost and being able to fight toe on toe with serious Frieza was always a possibility. Also Frieza really became pathetic AFTER Namek and it was revealed that some old guy on earth can create planet destroying monster.
Meanwhile Gilgamesh is THE Gilgamesh, the god king hero whatever. He is legitimately up there on the food chain. Yet he loses to a 15 years old ginger with the access to ctrl+c ctrl+v
wake up at 5am
train your body at the dojo
make a gourmet breakfast that most people would take an hour to cook it
wash the dishes and go to school
cleans the house and serves meals
help your best bro Shinji clean the dojo and walk his sister home after a seeing blonde foreigner outside their house
money conscious
good cook
good mechanic
can make swords at will
has Yakuza connections
Shirou has multiple jobs. He works part-time at a restaurant and is Raiga's mechanic
He's handsome, physically fit, is a mechanic, can cook, can clean, is nice and has a great personality
Has to fight his future self, almost die multiple times, wrestle with his internal ideals, see his future and where it leads him, and still decide whether to commit or abandon his dreams developed through intense trauma and instilled to him by his father
Shirou has too much kindness, empathy, integrity and self accountability to dehumanize others. Empathy and letting people take advantage of you are not the same thing, and that is where Shirou has gone tragically wrong. Rin and Illya help him fix this
was known as a handyman around school according to Issei since students took advantage of Shirou's kindness to get him to fix or repair stuff around the school, etc
Shirou is our boy
has Yakuza connections
only taiga has that
I'm sure shirou doesn't even know about them
Stealing NPs turns you into a nigger.
Meanwhile Gilgamesh is THE Gilgamesh, the god king hero whatever. He is legitimately up there on the food chain.
Gilgamesh is nothing without GoB, as proven by Shirou beating him in UBW
Shirou states that if it were ANY OTHER SERVANT, he would have lost. Gilgamesh is just nothing without GoB.
Lancer? Would have beaten Shirou.
Berserker? Would have beaten Shirou.
Kojiro? Would have beaten Shirou.
Medusa? Would have beaten Shirou.
Medea? Would have beaten Shirou.
Gilgamesh is just a complete jobber and fraud.
I tried to read that explicit isekai manga by the Elfen Lied guy, but every single time the MC had sex, he couldn't stop mentioning how ironic it is that the female character he was banging seemed so dignified and proud before sex, but completely animalistic and debased during sex. I get it that it's kind of hot, but why bring it up like thirty times?
Gilgamesh was too strong, that's why he lost.
Why can't Shirou just do some cultivator-tier daoism bullshit and steal his 'own' ability to create a turbo ability singularity that lets him invent new abilities on the fly
If you're gonna degrade the entire series to a gacha at least milk him as an SSS-tier bullshit artist for free money
no, the most degenerate whore in the world who is in charge of a sex cult did that
Is he actually called Detroit Emiya?
The curse of having the narrative power of surviving after dying, making them a disposable character. Usually the writer's hands are tied when dealing with outcomes of battles, because there are still things the writer wants to do with characters or doesn't want too harsh of a consequence to befall the involved parties. But the moment a character who can survive after dying gets introduced, the author thinks they can now bypass that hurdle and showcase the character's defining power at the same time, which ironically makes the scenario even more limited by turning said character into designated jobber.
This is why Illya called Herc's ability a curse of immortality. It's not because immortality is bad or whatever, but because it makes you doomed to lose fights even more times than usual.
If Saber had God Hand, it's hard to think how much more she would get bodied in the VN.
Ciel in Tsukihime suffered from the same narrative affliction, so it's not even the first time Nasu has done this...
UBW helps to counter GOB but the only reason why gilgamesh lost is because he didn't round start Ea the second he got thrown into UBW and instead waited just long enough to get chucked into the grail black hole of plot convenience AKA he was a cocky retard. that's why he'd lose to anyone else, they're not quite as cocky
Which one
Not talking about any of the Foreigners one of the main Crypters is just straight up a protagonist ripped from a Lovecraft story okay more like several. Who just starts summoning ayylmaos in a fight and has like the highest powerlevel ever of any master ever outside of (you). And it's just awkwardly rushed through with the pacing of a fucking bullet train.
I just wish some of these ideas had time to breathe you know. At least the dinosaurs with guns thing had well some set up even if the payoff was just absurd.
Yeah that's my point
Sure Frieza was cocky at first, but he legitmately went 100% serious in the end
And without Goku turning SSJ no fucking way they would win
So it's unfair to compare a pathetic jobber dog like Gil to Frieza who actually uses his full power the moment he sensed real danger
Saber jobs to Tohsaka, too.
No, that's just a joke from one of his designers. Going by the manga, he infiltrated Kiara's cult (yes, the Extra CCC Kiara) and went full Kiritsugu - guns blasting. Apparently Taiga joined this cult because her child was sick and on the verge of death. He only realized after pulling the trigger that he killed who was basically his sister and went mad.
frieza only went serious because goku allowed him to, because he wanted to humiliate him and humble him
if shirou let gil get serious and use Ea, it would have been the end of him
Man, post-Holow Ataraxia Fate sounds fucking retarded.
Nuh, that's dumb, whore can't change your race.
So it's unfair to compare a pathetic jobber dog like Gil to Frieza who actually uses his full power the moment he sensed real danger
Nasu often compares Gil with Vegeta in the Cell Saga
In the afterward of Volume 5 Narita recalls something he asked Nasu 4 years ago:
"If Gilgamesh met Humbaba, how would he react?"
Nasu Responded:
"Vegeta right after Cell becomes Perfect or After Freiza Transforms, but instead of energy blast barrage that Vegeta usually does, he would scream KUAHHHH and like a cold oni like will and like shoot the Gate of Babylon barrage instead"
Narita Joke Response:
"I guess that collecting Seven (Heroic) Spirits and wishing upon a Dragon is the only choice...."
GilgaMEME literally confirmed the Vegeta of Fate.
Arrogant to the point of self-harm but always lose in the end
They both are roalty whose people have slaughtered
both have a form where their yellow hair is standing up
They both have had their arm incapacitated in an embarrassing way
They were both completely eradicated by a blonde woman
always jobbing to show how strong some new enemy is
always losing to the protagonist in the end, always being number 2
if shirou let gil get serious and use Ea, it would have been the end of him
Didn't Gil use Ea on Shirou in the VN?
Didn't Gil use Ea on Shirou in the VN?
pretty sure he didn't have time to use it, at least in the anime
I only read fate and heavens feel from the VN
I didn't want to read UBW
I think you're mixing that up with Angelica-Gil in Prillya.
In thr Saber route but he only uses it to fire what is effectively compressed air at him as opposed to what Ea can actually pull off.
Gil's whole schtick is that he never has his hand on that thing 24/7 if he did he would basically be unstoppable.
Nasu did use Ea against Shirou in the VN. In the UBW anime, Nasu asked Miura to change the scene of Gil shooting Ea straight at Shirou. In the anime they came up with the grail monster thing.
Shirou walked into the fight knowing he had to go psycho mode and beat Gil before he could pull out Ea which took time to pull out. The anime sort of got it right but here is how the VN fight goes
Shirou opens UBW
"Do you have enough weapons in stock?"
Shirou immediately starts running at Gil and throwing every fucking sword at Gil at once.
Gil is put at a disadvantage because GoB takes time to summon the swords while UBW doesn't need to summon swords as it is literally made of swords
Gil is confused as fuck while this retarded teenager is screaming at him and just throwing swords at him
Gil realizes shit is fucked and he needs to summon Ea to get out of this
Shirou chops off Gils arm because he knew that would be Gils plan to get out
It probably takes place in 30-60 seconds.
The UBW anime changes a few details to make it more action-focused, like Shirou pulling out Rho Aias was entirely new, but the fight is largely the same in that Gilgamesh lost because he hesitated to use Ea against someone he found unworthy. In the VN, the fight was decided the moment Shirou deployed Unlimited Blade Works because the number of swords flying back and forth left Gilgamesh unable to do anything but try and match him blow for blow. Where the anime differs is that it presented Gilgamesh as always being able to simply pull out Ea even after the fight started, but made it seem like he was too slow to do so. In the VN he was unable to because he would've lost his head if his attention wavered for a moment. His pride, and the subsequent blow to it from drawing Ea, would have made him incapable of using Ea within UBW firing on him at full force.
>Gil realizes shit is fucked and he needs to summon Ea to get out of this
>Shirou chops off Gils arm because he knew that would be Gils plan to get out
anon, that's exactly what happens in the anime
shirou cuts gil's arm before he can activate Ea
The reason that's given is that the servants that come from the grail are part of the system of the grail so they can't really defeat or overcome the grail it's the same sort of thing as no god or elemental can beat arc because arc is the planet and things in the system of the planet kinda just lose to it.
Its a matter of systems rather than raw power.
Also absorption and imaginary numbers are a godly counter to spiritual existences and that's what Sakura is
Was Archer insane in UBW? What was his end game? It doesn't matter if Archer kills Shirou, since heroic spirits are outside the flow of time they are not affected by it, even if Archer kills Shirou, he will keep existing.
Secondary. I sentence you to 10 hours of reading the VN.
Dismissed!
Its basically him throwing a self admitted tantrum out of sheer bitterness
its a strange desperate suicide attempt.
he had to try, bro
he was just done with everything
You stupid fucking nigger. Just get to the point where you can mimic the grail with the energy of the world around you. It ain't that hard. I've seen fag character in FGO do more for less. That's all you had to do, nuke it with itself
Its basically him throwing a self admitted tantrum out of sheer bitterness
Could anyone in FSN beat a serious GARcher?
he talks about this. which you would know. if you actually fucking read it.
If it was easy -- why would you do it?
If it was easy -- where would the growth come from?
If it was easy -- how could you ever rise above mediocrity to become something extraordinary?
Something extraordinary? Something unstoppable?
Life doesn't hand out greatness.
It doesn't come wrapped in convenience or ease.
You have to earn it. You have to fight for it.
When the pain hits -- when the struggle feels unbearable -- that is when you dig deeper -- that is when you discover what you're made of.
Because the truth is -- easy doesn't count. Easy doesn't work. Easy won't build you into the legend that you're destined to become.
The climb is hard because it's meant to be. It's meant to test you. It's meant to push you. It's meant to forge you into something greater than you ever thought possible.
You got one shot at this life and the clock is ticking.
So when the days get tougher, you have no choice, but to get tougher too.
Remember this: your mind controls your body.
If your mind is weak, your body will crumble. But if your mind is unshakeable -- if your spirit is relentless -- then nothing, nothing, can stand in your way.
Archer was never wrong
Artoria consistently folds that dude like a lawnchair.
Sure. Cu is his 100% ultimate counter since anything emiya can do cu just laughs at. The dog moves too fast for emiya to even see when he's not nerfed despite the fact emiyas sight is boosted for following and tracking high speed movement from clairvoyance too. Protection from arrows cucks any archery that isn't a caladbolg and whatever big beams archer throws out are overpowered by a gae bolg throw which is implied to punch above its category into anti fortress territory given how it shreds rho aias. The super rune shield that's around an A rank NP in power that cu used against the shadow is a thing too
Combine that with the fact that they wank cu off as being able to handle a Medea powered artoria and emiya at the same time as long as he's focusing on defense and the fact that he's just a better martial artist?
By the way in interviews Nasu says cu fights gil for 12 hours straight and heavily injuries gil before he dies.
That said a serious artoria kinda crushes emiya in cqc. A battle between them can go either way but that's kind of assuming optimal conditions for emiya limiting saber. Heroes aren't willing to nuke the land or crazy amounts of collateral and innocents for obvious reasons so emiya parking himself on a big building in the middle of town to snipe at an enemy means that saber can't just Excalibur him and steamroll him. The bridge fight in FHA is the best he can do and it's plenty deadly
Emiya is legitimately a strong servant but he's more of a B tier that has a strong punching up ability.
Herc is also legitimately insane given he tanks dozens of A rank NPs and is along with saber the only one who ever destroys NPs with normal swings. Dude breaks dozens of A rank NPs fighting gil.
The funny thing is they mention that Alcides would die if he gets hit by even one NP meanwhile in strange fake and he whines that he wishes he had godhand and his god body
Trannies don't win fights, men do.
That said a serious artoria kinda crushes emiya in cqc. A battle between them can go either way but that's kind of assuming optimal conditions for emiya limiting saber. How does Shirou w/ Archer's arm beat Saber Alter then?
Spears usually job to swords which job to axes. Common sense that arrows and magic are the best way to kill a swordsman depending on the armor in fantasy battles, magic is the only thing that will a knight like that.
Low tier clairvoyance is basically like spider sense, right? You get a premonition of what will happen but not the exact details of what will happen.
Also does Gil's clairvoyance see the one true future or does he just see all the possible paths the future can take, like that Jojo villain?
Spears usually job to swords which job to axes
Only in Fire Emblem
Real life too, a sword and shield wielder in a 1v1 situation with a shield and spear will win if they are about equally matched in training. The sword has infinitely more uses than a spear if he just turtles up and pushes the spearman's shit in with the shield and starts stabbing him open like a swisscheese.
only in fire emblem
isn't fire emblem the opposite of what the guy's talking about (outside of weapons that specifically reverse the triangle)
He isn't. If he uses Enuma Elish at the start of a fight he wins, simple as.
Enema Irish.
Huge support from Medusa's mystic eyes and Alter's heart wasn't in it, doesn't count.
Doesn't FGO have a bunch of berserkers that aren't really "mad" at all
FGO doesn't exist.
FHA is the latest Fate work.
Sakura, I don't care about your worms and trauma, and I've never considered myself lucky
I'd rather be Shirou's tard wrangler than help my own sister
UBW wasn't well written
You're thinking more of instinct and eye of the mind false.
Clairvoyance depends on the type and rank. For Arjuna and emiya it's just see further and better. Chiron is see real good even better and combine it with his ability to big brain batman think and use data he's gathered from observing and fighting to hack a future prediction thing like a mentat.
Arash has special sight that lets him x ray vision see the kokoro and random bullshit.
Gils clairvoyance is partially his big brain wisdom that lets him use gob and also due to his perspective as the lynchpin of heaven as a mostly divine individual that's still mortal and has a perspective like a star.
Eye of the mind false is spider sense danger bullshit. Instinct is like a Jedi when you're artoria tier and basically is like a guide telling you what moves you should do in combat.
An example would be let's say gil shoots five NPs at you. Eye of the mind true is going you've figured out a tendency that he likes to shoot the NPs in a way that the most dangerous one is gonna hit you if you dodge the first two. You'll tank those and focus on deflecting the one you think is the worst. But if there's some bullshit you have no idea on guessing or figuring out you're shit out of luck.
Eotm false will tell you the fourth is bad don't get hit by that it's coming from there! Or there's a sixth sword that's invisible coming from behind!
Instinct tells you the best thing to do is slide below them and stay on the ground. Or jump to the left and charge forward and if you're artoria gives you a Jedi precog. It also acts as DND blind fighting.
On that note Kojirous eotm false is giga perception and he uses it to figure out Excaliburs shape to negate the penalty of invisible air which was giving him trouble at first. Herc has eotm false B but its stacked and buffed with the experience that's worthy of eotm true B. But true is about being a big brained thinker so it gives him no benefits as berserker.
Surely there's one overpowered as fuck servant in Chaldea that could be commissioned to give Shirou good mana circuits somehow and turn him into an actual god among men since that's literally his one drawback
FSN was always intended to be a standalone work.
Zero and HA are just extras, as stated by Nasu, for those who wanted to enjoy more Fate.
Extra and CCC are just AU spinoffs.
FGO is Sony milking Fate while supplying TYPE-MOON with countless PS5 Pro to play Dark Souls and Elden Ring
Speaking of Nasu, are there translated scans of the Tsukihime manga that aren't potato quality? The best I could find was I think 800x1200 which gets stretched to shit on my tablet.
Full chat GPT going reddit speech.
Shit anon, no need to break every single phrase up like that.
- eotm false is innate bullshit so it works even though he's mad meanwhile.
Triple link is his special move designed to try and overcome greater foes. But more than that salter is the only saber it would work against.
Salter is both nerfed in her agility and also her speed because her fine control is fucked due to being mudded, and her armor is stronger but heavier which weighs her down. On top of that her instinct is nerfed.
She has a lot more power but she's less skilled and less able to respond and deal with things as she's a nitro boosted truck out of control. A Rin saber has a bit less power but way more control finesse and better instinct so she's overall better.
Furthermore in the cave salter can't afford to just Excalibur and blow shirou away..she only uses it because she's forced to against Bellerophon..the cave starts to collapse because of the clash of NPs. Imagine what would happen if Excalibur didn't have a super mount to struggle against and instead just blew up the area?
Also does Gil's clairvoyance see the one true future or does he just see all the possible paths the future can take, like that Jojo villain?
Gil has a whole ass noble phantasm for his clairvoyance because it's a bunch of bullshit. Canonically he tries not to use it much because it's boring to cheat like that and know the answers ahead of time. In Strange Fake he takes a seat and looks into what Gilgamesh in Hollow Ataraxia is doing on accident, so he can see into different timelines no problem. If he plays poker he'll always know the best move. Then again with his Golden Rule he'd probably just win on pure luck anyway.
saber is weak because shirou isn't a real mage and cant properly give her mana.
Are FATEfags excited for their Hoyoslop crossover?
Circuits are part of your soul nigga..they are impossible to add to.
Even divine spirits struggle to mess with the soul. Also individual circuits aren't what matters, their cores are what matter..some complete materials and case files goes into detail but basically what you call quantity is actually amount of cores
Besides even if you gave him more circuits (which doesn't fix his problem if he doesn't develop his own life force more) what's he gonna do? Ubw a bit more? He can't really do anything other than ubw because he's a sword attribute guy.
The five elements are classical Greek elements aka everything in reality can be categorized through them..if you think of them as base colors that you can mix to get any color then shirou is instead a specific metallic pink that can only be metallic pink or some bullshit
Speaking of Nasu, are there translated scans of the Tsukihime manga that aren't potato quality? The best I could find was I think 800x1200 which gets stretched to shit on my tablet.
There are not even Japanese raws that are higher than 800x1200, unfortunately
Sadly, I haven't found a good one when I searched a couple of years ago.
Godspeed though.
I recently saw Mirai Fukuin and that differentiated between two types of futuresight, but I wasn't really sure whether I really understood the difference between the version that the schoolgirl had and the version that Bomberman had. So the brunette girl had Eye of the Mind False or True, and the Bomberman had Clairvoyance?
I think Saber's stat screen explicitly stated that Instinct can border on precognition but is not real precognition at all.
I typed that out on my phone please respect my autism. Chatgpt doesn't know shit about Nasu I bet it doesn't even know what a magnituning is (his yaoi novel)
It'll be the first bit of hoyoshit I try out. It's probably going to suck but on the off chance it doesn't I don't mind buying an account to get Saber capped. Basically did something similar for blue archive and railgun.
The KnK clairvoyance is different. They're psychics and mystic eyes.
Psychics basically are people with a different circuit in their brain, a different common sense, world. You can't talk to animals??? Of course clothes just light on fire. Stuff like that. Its not impossible for a skill like that to be represented in a servant sheet with clairvoyance but it isn't really the same thing. Arashes clairvoyance is kinda close to pure eyes that said
Also KnK and DDD sre more to my taste than fate stuff
impossible to add in
Bullshit
I've seen at least 4 different true reality warping servants and multiple that are literal gods outside the realm of Chaldea that still interfere for shits and giggles. The soul is a meme with the only limitation being where Nasu feels like milking Shirou
Also his UBW has never been limited to swords, it's just his affinity. He can make other things. You give him even half of Rin's mana and he's a true counter to servants instead of using the most mana-efficient dogshit he used in all the routers that didn't involve Rin juicing him up. A lot of Fate shit taps into daoism which eventually reaches a point where if you know enough about one affinity, you know others by extension
If anything hoyoslurpers should be excited about having anything of quality in their 'game'
Fate route
Saber wins every single fight
UBW/HF
Jobs because the routes requires her to
Fate/Zero
MVP against Caster, was denied a fair duel with Lancer, beats Berserker, interrupted against Gilgamesh (ok she'd have lost without Avalon)
I'm proud of my king
How many of Fate's concepts and ideas are borrowed from Mahoyo and KnK?
I'm not really heavily invested but it looks like the best quality Saber model/animation I've seen in a game, like it's a lot better than the cardboard cutout from FGO.
Nasu also wanted to add the Saber vs Rider skyscrapper fight to the UBW anime, but Miura didn't want it.
I don't think you quite understand how impossible messing with the soul, what circuits are truly for or the nature of where magic energy flows.
That's fine most people don't and that's not like a mark against them because it's autistic shit you need to dig for.
But no even gods can't really mess with the soul all that much. Most of their stuff relating to souls is just crushing them, or moving them. They can't really modify the soul.
Shirous problem is thst he's a little weak human in the end. Also his affinity is sword which means he's fundamentally limited to weapons for ubw. He can project shields and armor for a tiny bit of time for way more energy.
It isn't like he has the energy to use the tnr of any real Np too.
You also have Nasu saying that shirou will always get wrecked by bazett no matter how much stronger he gets. He can get very strong but he has his limits.
That said for more magic energy he can always just get supporting mystic codes like any magus
Nasu is pretty good at being thematically consistent and the metaphysics are mostly tight knit. Fgo doesn't add anything to the lore for the most part and is just regurgitating old stuff but making the subtext blatant.
The new stuff about the archetypes and the types isn't even fucking new it's just him reiterating shit from fucking Notes about how VV is a fake angel that's beautiful because she's the angel in everyone's hearts and how she as a type is a being that takes form through everyone's dreams
Saber is made for big shinji ntr cock
Tamamo Cat called him that in the Japanese version. He wasn't amused.
That Roa can in fact mess with souls is what makes him such an incredible mage from a technical standpoint, right?
Wasn't Mash a scrapped FSN character?
yes it does, it has all the wikia knowledge, you can try it. Typed the name wrong and it still got it right. Its over nasufans.
Funny how you want Shirou, because /fgog/ is sick of old F/sn being constantly represented and refers to such stuff as clap bait.
"Oh they did the thing from from 20 year old vn! I can't stop clapping!"
I want Shirou because it's Shirou. /fgog/ doesn't want F/SN because there's 50 fucking Saberfaces and Rins hair recolours and 3 different plotlines involving different versions of Sakura
Shirou is still genuinely and unironically untapped. Him being skinsuited by a completely unrelated old man is no Shirou, not is all the Niggerversions Shirou
You release Shirou in FGO and he instantly nukes the sales and the devs know it. That's why they're saving it for nostalgia bait when there's a rough patch. Mr Blacksmith was testing the waters and it worked
He is flat out explicitly said to be the only person to ever understand the soul. He's a god mage in general that's really only second to sion who is even more bullshit because she's the best atlas ever the best type of mage.
Also every fgo villain is ripping her off as the dust of Osiris.
By the way dust has the unified language for shits and giggles and tells people to turn into philosophers stones.
Philosophers stones are not quite able to interface with the soul but relate to it because they're photonic crystals and spiritrons and the soul relate to and are represented by light. Its why the moon cell is a super spirit computer
But yeah roa has the same perspective as Gilgamesh in terms of hype for the future of humanity being shirous eternally challenging infinity as they ascend the realms and dimensions in a platonic or kabbalah or Taoist (eminationist really) fashion.
He's a super mage who founded the burial agency with original narb, pushed his way to where arc is, fell in love with white woman and needed a team up of the church + arc to beat down.
He also beat up primate murders owner etc
yeah bro Japan is absolute backwater as far as magic goes
that's why everything important in the universe happens in Japan and two of the most busted living magi around are a pair of japanese sisters, plus Japan gets two MEoDP users, plus...
Ok but Britain gets even more wank with heart of the planet and super dungeon Albion and other shit
Also every fgo villain is ripping her off as the dust of Osiris.
Technically, Arcueid in Actress Again said Dust of Osiris plan was a rip off of the Ancient I's plan, who is revealed to be Goetia in FGO. Nasu keeps a lot of stuff in reserve and reveals it many years later.
Her original name was Tachie, and she was going to be one of the dead people who burnt in the Fuyuki fire whom Shirou ignored while he was surviving.
What we know about Illya's route
Nasu confirmed that Ilya's bird familiars were from the draft
Nasu: If it's at the land that houses the Holy Grail, then Ilya is indeed that strong. And being able to make a familiar from her hair was in the original draft. The work this time around was especially hard, so I ended up using an "Iri's replacement" approach. By the way, the name of the technique is Elfen Lied [German for Elves' Song, 天使の詩 - Angel's Poem]. The bird's name is Storch Fieseler [German term for a type of plane].
Takeuchi confirmed that Shirou would have a sex scene with Leysritt and Sella
At the initial concept stage, the only details we had hammered down about these two maids were their names, their general roles (powerhouse/teacher) and which one would become Illya's Dress of Heaven. We only expanded on these characters when we decided to go ahead with "hollow". Normal homonculi are mostly emotionless like Leysritt, so that illustrates what a unique case Illya is. Leysritt was created as a sample of Illya, and Sella was allowed to live only because she was useful as Illya's tutor. That's about the extent of the specifics we initially had for these characters. When I started writing Sella's part in "hollow", however, she quickly became one of my favourite characters. I like Leysritt too, of course. By the way, I think Sella is the only real tsundere character in "Fate". (laughs)
Shirou losing his arm protecting Ilya, the two shopping and her singing, BRING ILLYA BACK, and Nine Lives Revolver were also planned for Illya's route
Shirou was going to drop his ideal to make amends for Kiritsugu's sins in Illya's route, while the Sakura route focuses on him breaking free of Kiritsugu and becoming his own person. Also, Rin was likely going to become a villain after killing Sakura and going mad in the Illya route to complete the pattern of how each heroine is a villain in some route
Zouken was the final boss

冥界の鳥。たおやかなオシリスよ。そなたの理念は千年遅い。その妄念じゃ、古い"一"の考えだ。
O bird of the Underworld, graceful Osiris -- your thinking is a thousand years out-dated. Yours was also the delusion of the Ancient 'I'
For Red Arcueid's ending.
一切をゼロにして死を癒すってアプローチ? 残念だけど、それ、とっくに試されてるから。
The approach of overcoming death by reducing all things to zero? Sorry to say, but that's been tried before.
This was always super funny to me. The MEoDP were thought to only exist in legend even by characters like Arc, and both possessors of them just happen to live in Japan around the same time, both named Shiki and both coming from demon hunter clans.
I know it's just Nasu reusing concepts and story elements, but still.
How much of OG Tsuki and Melty has been retconned and replaced by TsukiR?
She even talks shit about Japan indirectly early on in Tsukihime, saying that the Church would never care to send agents to the far east, obviously because she thinks it's a flyover country as far as church and magi business is concerned.
If the spearman drops the shield, he wins. 1 handed spear is ass compared to 2 handed.
Dante the Poet is in Fate now
Nasu still hasn't shown Enhance who is suppose to be DMC Dante
PAIN.
How did Daddy Aozaki produce two godlike magi from his balls if he was passed over in the succession because Grandpa Aozaki thought he was a low tier jobber? Magi are obsessed with eugenics.
How did Daddy Aozaki produce two godlike magi from his balls
The same way Ciel had normal parents but was a freak of nature.
Ciel but generic japanese schoolgirl
Rin is also Aoko.
Reminder Nasu even lifted lots of Rin scenes straight from Aoko to the extent he had to rewrite Mahoyo heavily when turning it into a VN.
Aoko chases Soujuurou in the house of mirrors was similar to the scene in UBW where Rin chases Shirou through the school
That's because Nasu lifted that scene from the original, unpublished Mahoyo novel, where it all took place in their school instead. Aoko even lists it as a possible location to set up her ambush before Alice indirectly gave her the idea to use the amusement park.
There are other things originally from Mahoyo that got used in Fate instead, like strategy meetings on the school roof (which got cut from the remake) as well as the original Soujuurou probably being the model for Kuzuki.
After HF, Shirou receives a new body from Touko Aozaki and stays in Fuyuki with Sakura and Rider while Rin returns to the Clock Tower
Nasu is king of recycling content.
Ciel was a singular case. But lightning struck the same place twice in Mr. Aozaki's case.
Let's just consider Japan is in a way a flyover country for such business but the bigger reveal would be the involvement of Yakuza and their own organization basically working inside to keep those fuckers out, lmao. Japan being nationalistic about certain things especially government would make a lot of sense.
But swords beat axes in fire emblem
Judging from the attitude of gramps, it's very likely that Aoko's dad was actually in the same category as his children, but was passed over because of autism. Had Aoko and Touko been a bit older and had their own children, they'd be dismissed by gramps as well. He was all about that perfect heir grind.
Yakuza games taught me that every Yakuza is secretly korean or chinese until proven otherwise.
Did the artist forget to draw the rest of the bottle?
I think it's a microphone.
They are still very pro-japanese, they often let in foreigners who are disenfranchised in Japan so it makes sense.
This is like saying 'you think a dog cant beat a lion, but look at this video of a dog beating an elderly lion missing three of its four legs and all of its teeth and having a heart attack'
Only one duo shall be the best and victorious throughout history. Kneel before their might.
