I think the thing I dislike the most about gacha is the limited banners. I get that fomo is a huge aspect of the monetary element but why can't you just send the standard banner with older characters over time? I know limited banners will occasionally have an older limited unit in the pool but that's rare and usually you have to wait months before getting a character you wanted if you happen to miss it or just started late. So many Gacha just don't feel worth starting because they're months or years on in their life cycle.

by having better taste and enjoying characters from games, even other gacha games, that aren't actual shit

live service gacha games like mihoyo shit are literally meant to keep adding new characters endlessly. They don't give a flying fuck about developing characters or "story". It's just the new girl for gooners to goon to until the next one comes along.

every single gacha game ever made relies on powercreep. The chararter you rolled on launch?will be utter dogshit 6 years later. Not even worth fodder

Having old characters moved to the permanent banner would make the problem worse. Limited banners force you to wait for reruns, but you are guaranteed to get the character with a manageable amount of rolls. There is no way to guarantee a standard character, so you will likely end up wasting so many rolls that saving up for the rerun would have been faster anyways.

Yeah that's obviously another big issue is it incentivizes newer units and making them busted so they're worth rolling for.
