MH Wilds dying

Things aren't looking so good for for MH Wilds. What seemed initially like a surefire hit has now devolved into an abandoned, disliked game that was too big to fail for Capcom.

After DD2 failing hard, the last thing Capcom needs right now is its best selling series also decaying. The quality is not there anymore.

wilds sucks in a lot of ways but they already made plenty of money with it, so I don't see them changing course unfortunately.

Capcom fucked their playerbase twice now. DD2 was undercooked and Wilds too. Capcom got our money, so they don't really give a fuck anymore.

My friend who is a huge monster hunter cuck dropped this shit so fast that I knew it wasn't worth picking up
I bought Rise on sale for pennies and enjoyed that instead

Capcom will get a huge "wake-up call" when they release the master rank expansion because it will sell much worse than Iceborne and maybe even Sunbreak. A lot of people bought Wilds and ended up so disappointed that will not buy the expansion at all.

I dont understand how so many people like MH but you dont ever hear about that much. Like yeah its popular but nowhere near popular among general population. Is it just bots or is it that popular in china?

Eh it was alright. I didn't hit 100h on it which is bit on the low side but still over 90h and it was fun. Real meat has always been in the expansion

Ban Steam chartfags.

The difference is Wilds sold extremely well. Now they can discount the game, add the cut monsters, and eventually sell the paid DLC and make even more money.

dlc soon

Good, Capcom needs less MH

UPDATE BROKE MY MODS, probably everyone elses too. On top of a lot of games are coming out

People finished the game, enjoyed the story and moved on. This is MH now, what is the problem here?

Didn't world sell like 20 million copies or something?
It was decently successful outside of nipland but that was a pretty big jump for the west

It's huge in Japan. Friend of mine told that their company basically closes up for a week whenever MonHan releases. I rarely talk about it outside of others who play because most don't get it.

This, I played for 200 hours and most of that was grinding for crowns to get all the achievements. I'll come back when there's new monsters to fight or good event quests.

So i recently pirated worlds, it was my first monster hunter game ever.
Why the Fuck do i feel like i'm playing a MMORPG?

now

MH has always been like 150-200 hours MAX pre expansion and then another 100-200 in the expansion.

It's not a forever game, retard. Everybody who was going to play it has played it already.

JANNY LOOK HE POSTED IT AGAIN
What mods?

Because they inserted a bunch of pseudo-MMO garbage into it to appeal to normalfag retards and try to make player retention a thing with dripfeed.

JANNY LOOK HE POSTED IT AGAIN

what do you mean?
By mods I mean booba armor. It's all over I have to hit nexus up next week and update everything.

The shit just sucks, this is objectively the worst the series has been.
It's like it took all the worst parts of base worlds, kept them and removed the only good things that I liked.

I played a bit of rise, but this was my first real dive into a MH game. I enjoyed my time with it. Got some rank 8 weapons and armor. Boot it up now every few weeks to do an event quest or two and kill the new monster.

What did wilds fuck up that older ones got better for keeping people playing longer? Once I killed tempered Gore magala and the other most difficult monsters multiple times, and got a few sets completed, I felt like I "beat" the game. Never felt the urge to pickup another weapon.

I definitely see areas of the game that would be a draw for people to stick with it every day, (fishing, camps, layered armor etc) but I never felt that draw. I feel like it's one step away from having like that MMO feel, but I never once spoke to another player other than the emoji stuff.

What's wrong with people enjoying their time with it then moving on?

lol not even generations is 150

The way I see it they may not even do the G rank release but just move on to make a full sequel instead.

No autistic endgame grind to bait people, it's very easy to get a 'good enough' artian weapon and even though the decorations are random again there aren't any combinations in particular that are retardedly rare like they were in World. And on top of that monsters have nowhere near enough HP to keep up with all the free tripping provided by wounds besides a couple of postgame fights so people got through it a lot quicker. Last game I saw monsters die that fast just going through story progression was basegame Gen when you had shit like Demon Riot Switchaxes and Longsword with a 250+ MV counter.

It's fun but it was the was released with the least content of any MH besides maybe the original and they've only added one monster since launch. I just saw the trailer for the street fighter crossover and it looks dumb wlas fuck.

if that was true then World (8 year old game) would have 0 players

Or World just has lower system requirements so there are more people who can play it on PC.

what dont you guys like about MH wilds?

The difference is Wilds sold extremely well. Now they can discount the game, add the cut monsters, and eventually sell the paid DLC and make even more money.

But they can't make the game good. Its foundation is completely rotten and it can't be fixed.

I'm poor so I have to bitch and moan about performance every thread. There's no reason it shouldn't run on my laptop with a nvidia 950.

it's ok the portable entry developed for switch 2 will be good and Anon Babble will pretend it's shit again because nintendo derangement syndrome

Wilds is so bad it makes World look good.
But they are both bad.

why are you poorfags like this

monhun has always been mmo-lite thoughever

I love the game it's my favorite MH
there's fuck all reason to keep playing right now, though. HR Zoh is the only meaningful thing they've added.
The Akuma thing is literally no fun allowed, if it did even twice the damage it does it still wouldn't be better than weapons so there's really no excuse for it to be such waste of time to use. The fact they give you a damage boost exclusive to the arena quest is pretty telling.

Reminder that monster hunter wilds immediately crashes on boot up for many hardware configurations since early May.

Please, capcom shill, tell this to to your boss so they fix their piece of shit game.

The game is dead because CAPCOM is refusing to give the game discounts, RE4R is hitting 10 milion copies, RE8 12 milion, RE7 16 milion because the game is getting 50+% discounts. The moment this game drops a 25% to 50% discount the player numbers will jump to 100k+, mingy and WAITGODS always win in the long run.

STFU retard, the "wake up call" is in TU2, if they are actually able to lower the VRAM usage and make the game run better it will dictate the sucess of the Master Rank forward.

Monster Hunter is big in Asia, it was always this way, if you get Americas/Europe is just 20 to 30% of the copies sold, World only broke the "handheld curse" and opened the game for normies in Asia.

hi I'm an obvious X strawman

wow wtf why are you Xs like that???

Someone explain this behavior, I don't get it.

It's weird, I had fun completing the game but then I dropped it and never looked back. Meanwhile World kept pulling me back

Because Wilds is soulless corpo slop. MHWold has Soul despite being casualized to shit.

Game runs better on my 3060 12gb than on my friend's 3070 ti 8gb

ha hah. Fug.

Because World/Iceborne has more content? I remember when World was out everyone was emulating XX because the only shit to do till Kulve Taroth was hunt tempered monster and kill the Arch Tempered monsters a few times.

Adding more monsters or putting in G-rank could help with some of my issues, but not all of them. They'd need to essentially remake certain systems from the beginning, and obviously that's not gonna happen.
I do wonder if nips share the same feelings about Wilds being overly streamlined

WAITGODS always win in the long run.

If they wait forever and never end up buying this piece of shit game they'll certainly be the winners.

Everything fun about resource management in the series has been polished out.

they can't ignore this
yes they made the money but long term engagement won't be as peachy for the gaas-style title updates plan
and they're gonna shit bricks when they'll see the expansion doing a fraction of wilds' sales
they're definitely going to be humbled after wilds ends at this pace

Delete the shader.cache file and if it doesn't boot update REFramework

what do you mean

OP is a massive faggot that keep reposting the same image all over again

DD2 and Wilds are disliked because they look like shit while also running like ass even in high-end hardware. REengine was a fucking mistake.

The actual numbers in similar timeframe don't look very different.

abandoning your core fanbase for people that just play >the current thing
lead to this situation

Interesting. Also, wasn't World released like months after consoles? Half a year doesn't sound that bad but still curious.

Base World without Iceborne sold 28,510,000 units as of Capcom's last update.

World - 28,510,000

Iceborne - 22,219,000

Worldborne total - 43,719,000

Rise - 17,175,000

Sunbreak - 9,876,000

Risebreak total - 27,051,000

Wilds - 10,108,000

Oops sorry you broke his narrative now he has to let the thread fall off the board so he can post it again in a couple hours

world came to PC like 8 months later I think

is this rokas
