It's directed and written by the main guy, Mike Judge, who created it back in the day.
He also did the same thing with Beavis and Butthead, the reboot episodes were actually pretty good and stayed true to what the originals were like.
Out of all the older cartoons that are getting a reboot as of recently, King of the Hill has the best shot at being a true reboot with all the same writing, tones, pacing, joke style etc. etc. of the old show.

Archer was fantastic until the Vice/Dreamland shit started happening.
