Let's make a list of problems you have had in the past 6 months.
1.game freezing in January
2.frequent crashing in February
3.g-helper bad reporting in March
Nvidia drivers
1. screens going black at random (fixed with weird update they brought out)
2. when waking windows from sleep second monitor is distorted and doing anything that addresses the drivers of the gpu directly (eg: changing resolution, shutting down pc, etc) will cause pc to freeze
random screen flashing has been an issue with Nvidia drivers for almost a year now. They weren't this sloppy before.
Haven't updated drivers for over a year
Everything stable
Decide to finally update last month
Constant crashes, conflicts with antivirus, Nvidia app not working until reinstall
none, i haven't updated my drivers in 6 months
it's hardware acceleration in Edge/Chrome , turn it off
Never get the latest nvidia driver, they have a track record of putting out a bugged driver and then several more that are just as shit until they finally fix the problem. Then the process starts all over. Always do a little research to find the latest "ok" one.
People used to meme that AMD drivers were bad but now it's the opposite. Every fucking time I update it's just bug after bug until I rollback and swore to never update again.
I can't remember the last time I had driver issues.
What PC do you have with these problems?
Sounds like a Windows issue. You have to reinstall every 3-12 months, or everything just breaks.
Zero. I don't have these problems.
none
i haven't updated for at least a year
I'm still on 566 is it safe to update now? When I updated before games like cyberpunk and marvel rivals would not stop crashing.
Yeah that's why I didn't bother updating for over a year. I made a mistake that I did, I updated to the 12. May driver and it was crash after crash, display flickering and other issues. Rolled back and now it's okay again
Still getting momentary black screens on alttabbing, but otherwise working fine
I'm convinced that the people having issues are running on some cracked cut down Windows version and they're running pirated games.
This is what happens when the talented workers quit from becoming too rich to care.
Funny enough most crashes I had were on Microsoft games through game pass I played through the Xbox app
For me the GeForce Experience doesn't recognize my windows 10. Gives me error that my windows isn't supported and I have to open 4-10 times before it finally opens. Also the newest drivers make Oblivion remake crash constantly.
full amd build with a dualboot partition running Bazzite
everything just werks
My question is did they fire "the guy"
The only good coder they had?
No last update killed God of war for me.
It crashed saying driver problem or overheating GPU.
I rold back 0 problems
alt tab black screen with dsc
random black screens
problem with more than 3 monitors
random game crashes
black screen after driver install needs hard reboot
Thats what you get for buying a rtx 5000 meme card. Shouldve gotten a 4080/90 or 9700xt
ffs
1. doesnt even install correctly. hard locks my PC with a black screen and I have to do a forced shutdown
2. complete kills SteamVR and all VR games by causing massive latency spikes
the only 3 men on the planet who truly understand the driver and the architecture all moved to the CUDA division.
nvidia drop RTX 50 series production by 30% to give advantage to AI chips
nvidia game drivers become a secondary concern, their development is outsourced.
wake up and smell the coffee nvidiafags, its the beginning of the end.
nvidia is AI now
But amd was never good.
Now we just have nothing
the funny thing is their studio drivers which are supposed to be the more stable and thoroughly tested drivers are just as buggy as their game drivers. in just a few months nvidia have destroyed their reputation entirely
lmao
I don't get it, had both AMJew and njewdia over the years. Never had this kind of faggot bugs with drivers, not even now with the newest nvidia drivers. And I'm the kind of guy who undervolts, overclocks, mods bios. I keep the same gpu or cpu for years.
I feel like I live in a bubble where everything just works when I see threads like this.
not even this, I've been running the same windows installation since windows 11 came out
yeah it's not that great compared to 10, I know
They are using AI to code their drivers aren't they?
You are probably jut playing old games
Nah, I even pirate everything when available.
But I play mostly single player shit, the only online game I touch now is Marvel Rivals.
I just got a 5090 and now my problem is my current UPS is getting overloaded to the point of shutting down due to the sheer power usage
I'm going to have to get a 1500va UPS or some shit wtf is with the power usage of this fucking thing
Sir turn down your GPU my walls are getting moist t.neighbor
I just bought a 5070ti, had no idea of the drivers issue. I was greeted to windows not booting up after installing drivers and a reboot. thought my windows installation was corrupt or something and was bracing for a reinstall. unplugged gpu and went to integrated graphics and the pc booted into windows fine.
eventually figured out that after installing the drivers and before rebooting i need to go into nvidia control panel and force disable gsync.
other than that one of the games I wanted to play, ghost of tsushima has a light flickering bug that they are aware of but have not fixed.
the sky in ac shadows flickers, it's not gysnc because it's literally just the sky, i fell for the blackwell meme, i got BLACKED and im not enjoying it
he bought AC Shadows
deserved
Crashed Warhammer, crashed the last dirt had one driver that crashed rpcs3 all day long.
Im done
I'm running my literally faulty 7900 XTX (unstable at factory OC) again instead of the 5080 I bought to replace it because of how fucked the drivers have been. I hate GPU manufacturers so much they're all dogshit.
Never saw any threads about past 6 months problems for AYYYMD cards while I had one. 2020 to 2025 I was troubleshooting something every other week if not constantly.
Nvidia with it's "problems" now feels like I escaped from Brazil and moved back to Munich. Sure it has seen better days but it still is not Brazil
things that never happened
Why would I lie? I had enough in game crashes to be annoying but the 50 series simply doesn't work at all with Affinity and not having access to that is a dealbreaker, so the 5080 is on my shelf until that gets sorted as a minimum. A 7900 XTX that at least works when underclocked is a much better solution until they sort their shit out.
yes yes do not redeem the rtx 50 get the amd saar
The AMD card is non-functional at factory settings, how could you possibly take that as an endorsement? The entire industry is fucked.
Never mind him; he's got more 5090s than braincells: two!
I have 2 5090s
If my GPU (3080) is getting maxed out in SOME games then YouTube stutters to shit on my second monitor if I have the game selected (if the browser is selected it works fine and doesn't affect the game seemingly), this never happened before
None. lmfao. Tech illiterate people are fucking hilarious
Isn't this just windows prioritizing resources for the window in focus?
this has been a thing since 7 iirc
I've never had it happen in this manner before the 50 series drivers came out.
You ESL retard.
My 1080ti is unstable at factory OC too.
OC models are not better binned despite what some of you retards may believe, it's a pure scam, you're buying the same GPU with a bios flash.
This post is for all the dumb brown kids on this board, DO NOT pay a premium for "OC" GPUs, you've been warned.
Never had this kind of faggot bugs with drivers, not even now with the newest nvidia drivers. And I'm the kind of guy who undervolts, overclocks, mods bios. I keep the same gpu or cpu for years.
I feel like I live in a bubble where everything just works when I see threads like this.
Same experience. Have had a 5700XT (blower cooler version) for 5 years now and heard nothing but horror stories of run away GPU temps and the worst drivers AMD ever released. I came to learn most people posting on social media don't know what the fuck they're doing and media outlets just report on complaints rather than verifying the problems. You can avoid 85% of driver problems if you:
know how to actually make a stable OC/UV verified with memtest and stress tests
don't play AAAslop on launch
The AMD driver stability problems I actually experienced with a stable UV were the infamous dx11 driver time-out bug and some crashing on dx9 games that couldn't be solved with using dxvk.
ok but the 1080 ti is 50 years old now
what if technology has evolved
hmmmm
fascinating
1)Screen freezing during my microsoft team meeting, then black out, before coming back.
2)Videos randomly corrupted, can be fixed immediately by restarting the video or skipping to any time in the video.
your hurty words don't matter. I have two 5090s. Which is two more than you.
Fuck You op this is all your fault
And? You never play any games because you're an AI slopper, and you're not beating the njeetia allegations.
but you never play any games
lol I still have two 5090s, which is two more than you'll ever own.
weird how you posted ur steam play time but not proof you have 2 5090s better start editing your "proof" now
weird how you require proof, like it's something unattainable in your world.
lol
You can't know that I found a 980 in a dumpster last year anything can happen also fund a nigher baby in a basket in front of the firetruck in 2013
amdrones lying about nvidia drivers
woooooooooooooow
I've been using 9070 XT for almost a month, and I had no issue yet, other than keyboard shortcuts being fucked up by default.
For my former 2070S, I had to use last year's drivers for it to run properly.
see how easy it is when you actually own a 5090? edit your "proof" now
Not beating the njeetia allegations.
like this?
whats with the scaling you dumb blind retard?
Not beating the njeetia allegations.
Speak English silly foreign person
4080S
Even with the latest 576.52 drivers I get a crash if the Nvidia overlay is enabled. The Nvidia app is a broke POS. They're focusing on fixing the buggy 50 series right now, which ends up breaking stuff for everyone else.
1440p poorfag lmao
ive got this one hooked up to my s90D atm
@grok
summarise what is this wailing faggot ranting on about?
I thought you had 2 5090's?
you must SLI if you have two
retard lol
keep consooming faggot
But you claimed to have 2, and haven't posted any proof that you have, yet you replied to the blind retard. Do you not know how to show you've got 2?
not a g5
POOR
I installed the last stable release and I'm never updating until the fucking gooks release one that isn't an abject disaster.
WOLED.
couldn't be me
you don't play games
WRONG
you don't have a 5090
WRONG
you run 1440p
WRONG
you don't have two 5090s
WRONG
You're on a roll
latest stable release
lol
WHQL is not stable
beta is even less stable
the last actual "stable release" is the studio driver from Q3 2023. its IHV certified.
he didnt buy the rtx 6000 pro
enjoy your shit performance
studio and game drivers are exactly the same, just game drivers get game profiles added
You're still not beating the allegations.
I don't get why that was so hard for you, why you think it's samefag. Regardless, I wish you luck in getting more (you)s, have a nice day.
You'd have to be fucking insane to buy a 5090 anyway. $3000 for a card that is virtually guaranteed to self-destruct via its melting power cable? Yeah, I'm good thanks.
I have no idea what the fuck you're on about
That's because you actually can't follow a conversation in English.
not the same dxgi.dll or d3d12.dll you can verify with wddm or gpu-z
I don't get why that was so hard for you,
why should I be required to provide proof?
maybe I was busy taking screenshots and replying than reading your stupid shit.
What the fuck are you talking about you retard?
No, no; don't respond any further. Your mode of typing is all the proof we needed.
u did tho little faggot lmaooooo
Haven't updated my drivers since october. I'm missing out on dlss4/supposedly improved DLAA since I believe it works on my 4080 but after reading all the issues people were having I decided to give it a few months.
Now a few months later and shit is apparently still not fixed. Get your shit together Jensen;
ahh yes the buttblasted faggot has nothing more to add. go sulk now . off you trott
ESL
ESL
the failing final words of a huge faggot who just had his shit pushed in
Problem is some "low tier" models without any OC often have mediocre cooling like the MSI Ventus. Of course AIBs know this and bundle the better cooling together with a lot of shit you don't want (OC + several bios modes + RGB + gay backplates) and use it as an excuse to ramp up the prices.
ghost of tsushima light flickering problem on all 50 series
have been using 7900gre since it released, zero issues
all my friends use nvidia
constant interruptions due to friends having problems in any game we play
Let's make a list of problems you have had in the past 6 months.
I own a 5070ti and all drivers after 572.83 crashed Monster Hunter Wilds like every 10minutes.
Is there any driver that is somewhat working recently?
I think 572.83 also had other issues.
nixxes are just trannies. i hate how they rush out every fucking port, then get praise from digitaltrannies because they added upscalers. then their "patches" are all about not fixing the game but fixing the upscalers.
.. and everybody clapped and the guy wearing the MAGA hat ran off shouting "fuck niggers"
He splashes his cash around like a Paki and wonders why nobody on Anon Babble respects him.
fuck you flexing purchases on Anon Babble is a perfectly reasonable and healthy thing to do
566.36
no stop making me seethe and jealous
I had some HDR crashes a few months back, but that's it.
t. picrel
I haven't had any problems in years. Nvidia are the best. Going from console to nvidia graphics is literally a generational leap in ray tracing and image quality because of dlss at 4k. God bless nvidia seriously. Without them who knows where this industry would be especially with amd being dog shit for the last 15 years and intel being non existent.
Wow so you have drivers from 2022 or something?
My 5090 was doing this, but suddenly stopped over the weekend. I'm not sure what changed. I still have hardware acceleration turned on in Chrome. I did stop using Wallpaper Engine, since that seemed to cause it to happen more often.
576.40. Don't know how old it is but it's been flawless.
Novidyia
in the year of our Lord 2025
Belive me or not it was cheaper then amd in my country.
Also I tried reselling and before and nobody knows what they are and can't be sold.
That said I think I'm just going to take a break from gaming
Most of the drivers for 50 series was bad but the one for Doom the Dark Ages fixed most of my problems. Namely stuttering in VR before that.
it isn't
I've got a 13th gen i9 personally, but undervolting it and lowering the P-core ratio to 52x in XTU resolved every crash it caused.
Remember that memory bandwidth is king in GPUs. So is Pixel Fillrate. You can tell how shit a GPU is by how much lacking both are in GPU-Z. Ignore brands, focus on exact math and science.
The only issue I've had with Nvidia drivers so far is that my screen goes black and never comes back on after installing updates. Restarting my computer fixes it though.
tfw never ever had driver issues with nvidia
i dont believe im that lucky, maybe you are just shit at using pcs?
Some things are very specific. I posted here that the biggest issue I had was there was a short period where playing games in HDR would BSOD me. It was a known issue addressed in drivers. In a lot of use cases, you may not notice problems. The 5000 series apparently had a lot of driver issues that aren't present in earlier models, as well.
Feels good never having any problems and only updating drivers every other year
SCREEN LOSES CONNECTION COMPLETELY AND I HAVE TO HARD RESTART THE PC EVERYTIME OR THE ENTIRE SYSTEM CRASHES THIS ONLY HAPPENS IN KCD2
It's fine on a driver from a year ago
BUT WINDOWS KEEPS FORCING THE NEW DRIVERS DOWN MY THROAT I'M GOING INSANE
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!
Sir, do not screaming.
Firstly, installing these:
learn.microsoft.com
With this tool you can analyzing you're crashings. Please insert content of dump into Microsoft Copilot and he will tell you what are the problem.
On 566.11. Haven't had any issues since 566.xx is the last good driver revision from nvidia. Sorry to anons that got 50 series cards and only have a choice between flavors of bugged drivers.
Windows forces video drivers
Things that don't happen for $500, Alex.
I know that's a bait thread but here's my impressions
5070ti
576.15
I really have no bad issues on W10. DPC latency is way WAY worse than on my previous gpu but that doesn't actually do anything bad beside rare system wide stutters but it's so rare I only saw it one or twice in about a month. Games runs great, I have an ultrawide monitor and LG C1 oled tv for gayming using it in HDR and I haven't had a single issue. HOWEVER I'm also a motion clarity nut who never use Gsync or freesync and I heard most issues comes from that or framegeneration which I also don't use (and if I do I use AMD's framegen because it's in fact better for specific case)
One of the drivers gave me black screen. I rebooted and it either reverted to the previous version or it just started working. I can't remember. My friend though has a 4070 and one update bricked his performance and made his gpu max out at 100% usage while just in desktop, so he had to revert to a previous version.
I haven't had any driver issues with my 3090
LMAO, did ATI pajeets suddenly moved to Nvidia now?
Haven't got that shit anymore since I ditch my HD4850.
None. Fresh driver install on a GoTX 5080. Not a single issue.
Just installed the latest drivers literally right there for my new 5070ti and lost my display output until I rebooted. Looks like it's installed okay but I thought I was gonna have to roll back and fuck around with it.
I've also had two occasions now where my displays have both went black and my GPU's fans have shit themselves and only a power-off and on again fixes it, unsure if that's a driver or hardware issue but it hasn't happened again so fingers crossed.
Is this the consequence of Nvidia focusing so much on AI shit they forget how to actually make reliable hardware/software?
its actually common shit for people who didn't forced disable windows update.
Happen since XP era, windows known for forced updating GPU driver in every system update to their own stock driver for retarded reason, that's why DDU became a thing because sometime this shit will crash your shit and the only way to clean everything from SAFE mode, dump every trash shit manually from the drivers data to registry then people invented DDU for non tech savvy people who keep asking how to fix their shit and can't into windows registry.
Most common windows user never actually polished their, disabling windows update, downloading new driver from GPU websites, or even bother cleaning any bloatwares that exist since XP era.
Still on 560.94
Works on my machine
I've never had it force a driver on me. Not once. Of course, I'm not running 3 year old drivers.
I used to work on cybercafe, believed me stock windows is the worst.
I got experience from XP to 10, XP was nightmares before SP2 exist and its the most vulnerable to all kind of malware out there, but the most challenge in my early year is to learn how to disable online update completely because for some retarded reason it try to update every single hardware driver to a new one and sometime it break shit, including the onboard sound hardware.
Dunno which version windows you are using, but I recently fixing people laptop which still using win 10 version 18xx and during the update session its literally downloading new GPU driver with it.
no i will NOT upgrade to 5090 from my 4090
im gonna get 6090 or 7090
i simply dont need an upgrade
every game runs in 4k 120fps and modern games are kinda shite apart from some exceptions
now i gather money to buy a house and rent it to some goy for perma profit
im gonna become semi neet
I had to roll back the most recent drivers. My monitor would turn off and my case fans would go full blast at random times.
Chad stevens the guy who writes code?
Yeah he's gone
maybe update that 750 ti to a 1060 first at the very least nigga
I run the current build of 11, and I haven't seen GPU drivers through Windows Update once.
I haven't used 11 yet, but my experience with 10 specially early versions they still infested with problem from decades ago, that's why debloater software for new installed windows became popular since XP era.
I run stock, and it's comfy. I imagine most of the debloating fad is due to obsolete hardware or individual mental illness.
Debloating windows is a common shit because they are some retarded setting that actually harm your OS instead of fixing it, back then you need manually editing your registry from reading yahoo/altavalista search.
And like I said before, I haven't used 11 yet so they might became less retarded with forced update.
You think GPU crash is common? back then people got crash from having wrong sound card driver installed by windows.
You post like a zoomer.
Drivers are the source of the vast majority of crashes, but having Windows updating your drivers (when Windows Update gets the drivers WELL after they're released) indicates failure to administer one's own system.
but having Windows updating your drivers (when Windows Update gets the drivers WELL after they're released) indicates failure to administer one's own system.
We talking about common user here, not a corporate maintained environment.
(when Windows Update gets the drivers WELL after they're released)
wrong, back then they mostly just used stock driver.
accidentaly install goyforce expierence
shit automatically changes video settings of all detected games
fucking bullshit
