Just watched a movie Anon Babble recommended called The Gorge.
It was alright I guess.
The first half of the movie obviously is written by someone who played Firewatch.
The second half is obviously written by someone who played, and HEAVILY sources from, NV, specifically Lonesome Road and Vault 22.
This is my first time watching a movie and realizing it's entirely built off the world and visuals of other media. Even though it's set irl.
You guys should watch it just to appreciate how much they took from NV.

New Vegas is a Bethesda game.

The bethesda approach in which like 8/10 dungeons have no reason to be there sucks quite a bit of the enjoyment out of fallout 3 for me. in fallout new vegas the vast majority of content is either small and limited in scope or has an associated quest. This is more reminiscent of fallout 1 and 2's approach. I liked I liked having random spots to plunder in morrowind, but in fallout 3 they feel like a waste of resources.

Because those technical flaws have largely been eradicated thanks to mods. You can't really mod out poor design choices such as writing. I haven't played NV in a few years but it's incredible just how many technical issues the community has fixed.
