First of all the vehicle crafting is a thing for convenience and never REQUIRED, usually you just need to use a SINGLE part at the right spot to get what you want. Every puzzle is crafted around that and the parts that you need usually sit around for you to use, effectively making them "temporary gadgets for the task at hand"
Second: the only part that despawns after a period of time are the wings because it makes outright flying with little energy investment TOO easy. Every other part stays around until it will be despawned because you are too far away and the game clears it's RAM.

What confuses me is that TotK went the extra mile to put nonsensical fun-stoppers in the weirdest places. Glue a wheeled platform to a shield to make a skateboard? It works.... but breaks in literally 10 real time seconds. Fly a bit too long? Your glider explodes, just because. Want to do anything at all with Zonai parts? Better know where to find battery upgrades, if you pick the wrong direction to explore the first upgrade could be 30 hours in. There's little things like that all over the place.

What is "Zelda" about building things? I think people miss that aspect in the debate and end up being disingenuous. Yeah, sure, it's fun to craft and you can say you enjoyed that but that is basically a different game. Like it has turned a known brand/title from a genre that shouldn't be this way into a survival crafting game rather than a real adventure and dungeon exploration game. I played it for like 30 hours and beat 2 temples. I feel like the amount of fun I had during that was maybe few hours worth. Climb to the wind temple was pretty cool, given it was actually constructed set piece rather than the open world slop the rest of the game is. Imagine if all game was that instead of what we got?

This game about freedom and non-linearity and player choice, will FORCE YOU to watch the intro cutscene and walk down a linear hallway and listen to exposition. Nintendo literally went out of their way to stop anyone from sequence breaking it, that's how badly they force you through that section. The sheer amount of event flags and triggers and invisible walls is mind boggling, it feels like you're playing Uncharted.

The problem with that is that the vast majority of 3D games have simplified themselves back down to the levels of 2D games, because there is no other way to provide an adequate experience on consoles that only have access to dual analog. One of the most obvious ways is in the lack of dynamic verticality, quite literally reducing the game to 2 dimensions.
Sure Nintendo has gyro aim, but it's still drawing most of its inspiration from over a decade of oversimplified trash that bent over backwards for dual analog.

Every video of "incredible" TOTK gameplay has the same feel as when I was in high school and fallout 3 had just come out. Land Mines were fucking useless but you still had loads of them from picking them up everywhere, so I would just stockpile them and spend a shitload of time making elaborate domino tracks or giant piles of them that launched whatever set them off into the stratosphere.
It had the same effect of being funny to watch but not nearly worth the effort to grind and set up every single time to be useful.
All that these TOTK videos are are just some asshole spending two hours on getting the perfect setup for his 30 second clip, then claiming the entire game is like that. It was the same shit with BOTW where they would claim that perfectly timing a metal boomerang throw to strike the enemy and cause lightning to hit them at the same time was something you would be able to regularly pull off rather than requiring ideal conditions.
