i've never played a RF game before, is RF4 3DS version fine or is RF4S significantly better?
they are both the same, exept for the cutscenes
RF3S has an added epiloge mode for every heroine with live2D models but else its the same too

4S got rid of some RNG on events.
Like you can go 5 months or ~30 hours in game without triggering the story quest needed for the last third of the game in 3ds ver.
But I guess by then you'll notice even on the 3ds that events are rng upon sleep so you can still savescum it anyway.
The remasters for 3 and 4 added content for every spouse accessed in a different game mode. A new difficulty mode, dual audio etc. For 4 they tweaked the event rng a bit, particularly for triggering act 3.
